You certainly hydrate yourself, however, you're electrolytes are unbalanced =S... which can disrupt your bodies homeostasis and actually kill you. This is why marathon runners need sport drinks. But if you're exercising for 1 hour then you probably don't need sport drinks...

@blubber250 I would say go for it. But it depends upon how sensitive you are to caffeini. Some people become anxious and anxiety is not something you want to have during an exam (even though you've probably finished your finals ages because this comment was 1 month old lol). But if it gives you a "buzz" and helps you to concentrate then maybe you should go for it (just probably not on a regular basis as they can cause longer term health issues just liek with other unhealthy foods/substances)
