  • how to find printer ip address ! please help

  • if you have a network printer hooked up to a router login to the router check under status Lan. if its connected to a computer open up a command prompt type ipconfig /all on windows or ifconfig on linux

  • okay thanks ! got that now it's asking for Network Administrator user id and Password ..... :S i got a 2wire router and a NetGear Router... NetGear router is really expencive once... and 2wire came with my internet... i m useing 2 wire now... so do u know which one is better... now i am useing 2 wire

  • if the 2wire is a dsl modem ie verizon then you hae to use it and the netgear open up a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar user id is admin password is password assuming it has been reset to factory default

  • I suggest you press [MICROSOFT FLAG]+R

    Type in cmd

Then type ipconfig and press enter,

Now look in the IP Adress or IPv4 In vista (Something like that)

It should say something like 192.168.0.XXX

    That's your IP

  • does the pc have to be on to print?

  • i got a windows xp computer being the printer computer and i clicked share on the printer and i went on my laptop and clicked add printer and found the printer on the printer computer i clicked it and it says WINDOWS CANNOT CONNECT TO THE PRINTER. ACESS IS DENIED. can i get some help?

  • On the computer that has the printer connected to it.. Open up "run" on the start pad. Type "cmd" then type "ipconfig" then enter.. It should show the computers ip adress.. Write the ip adress down. Go to your laptop do the same thing but do what the guy did in the video^ type your ip adress.. e.g. \\192.166.0.8.. Having done this add another "\". It should then show the printer. select it and it will work..
