@naladid oh wow america has landon donovan as there best player!:O my country holland would be jealous at that, i mean donovan is much better than our best players like, Sneijder(Inter), VdVaart(Real Madrid),Van Persie(arsenal), Robben (Bayern Munich) Van Bommen(Bayern Munich) Kuyt(Liverpool) Babel (Liverpool) de Jong(Man city) Huntelaar (Ac Milan) butt where jealous at donovan!
@ADAJ3 If i understand u well, and i think ur saying that american clubs are better then european, then ure TOTALLY RETARDED ,I mean the best player of the hole country, landon donavon doesnt played a single game when he was on bayern munich, hes the best player from a country that has more people then150mil or something and if u see that players as robben or van bommel are the best at the same club and there from a country of17mil people is1of the8800mil proves that european soccer is much better
@loresma77 did u not just see man u lose to kansas and new york beat man city, im not saying american teams are better im just saying they're not as bad as u think. mexico has players on better teams than the u.s. yet usa whoop they ass all the time.!
Early in the postseason I wasn't so sure, but now I can feel it: No repeat of missing the playoffs this season for DC! The backline will come together, the deadly triad of Moreno-Emilio-Gomez will click, and goals shall rain down like mana from heaven. And to top it off, we'll break ground for our stadium at last!...I just pray the Irony Gods don't read this.
None yet. They are still deciding on a final site. But we do know that they are looking at doing a project that is completely different from other MLS stadiums, with the one exception of Red Bull Arena. They are also looking at various options that will (to paraphrase the club President) make our opponents dread playing against us - acoustics, a steep stand that keeps fans close to the action, and maybe even a standing section. They're trying to keep the bouncing seats too! I have high hopes.
I'm sooooooo excited for the sounders! what's really amazing is that the average attendance for MLS games last year was only just over 15,000, and there are already over 20,000 season tickets sold for the Sounders. tickets for the 1st match, against NY, went on sale this morning, and are already sold out! personally, we've had season tickets since about a week after they went on sale, nearly 2 years ago!
Seattle is defiantly setting the bar in America and the season hasn't even started yet! It will be one of the loudest places to play in MLS. As long as Chicago holds up there, won't be any problems from me. I'm also envious that they get to play Chelsea! Hope they win that for sure.
im looking forward to see how Bobby convey plays as im english and saw him play in the premiership quite a thew times also who thinks iff beasley will go back to the mls? and another thing can anyone tell me whats going on with Freddie Adu because someone said he maybe goin back to the states?
You and I are on the same boat there. I think Seattle is gonna be a great team like Chicago, Columbus, Houston, and DC, Which is good because it boost the competition. Sigi is gonna have em on the right track imo.
one question, i heard that in usa there are a poor interesting on soccer and the only who support it are the spanish ( not from spain obiously, from mexico etc..) and the american people dont like it; and them goes only to soccer to see for example beckham; i dont know if this is true, because many teams are building theyre own soccer stadiums ( very good stadiums like ny with his red bull arena), can you answer me?? im form europe, from spain, for the best are the Fire and NY
You have to understand that in the USA Baseball, Basketball, and (American) Football are already very popular. So, its already a difficult atmosphere for soccer to thrive here at the professional level. However, public support has been increasing slowly but surely. And yes, there is large support for MLS from Spanish speaking people in the US, but by no means are they the only ones.
but you think soccer will grow more if stars like beckham goes to another country with more soccer tradition? i think the problem of us soccer is people only support if there are stars, not support the sport, support the star, do you understand me? its like the ny cosmos; with pele...the giants stadium was full when they played, but then, everybody forgot soccer...i hope the us league grow up, i see some matches in internet, because the us national team every day is better than before.
In the US everyone plays soccer until they get to college. But once you get past that, its having to compete with professional football, baseball, and basketball. Its hard for MLS to make a name for itself when its competing both against other American sports and soccer in Europe, where its already so popular. Alot of my friends really support European teams, but they're reluctant to get into MLS, even though they're Americans. Like I said, it is getting better, it just takes time.
ok, thanks im sure football will grow more, and you have to support to atletico de madrid, the best team!!! haha you have to look more the spanish league, it is as good and competitive as premier league!!!!
what do you think about the mls expansion on vancuver?? do you you think it will success, i think is not a soccer fans teher, i dont know, but it wold be better an expansion in a better city like miami, san fracisco or something like that, in big cities where doesnt exist soccer teams, what do you think?
I think it will be a great success. Vancouver is the best in the USL and they have excellent fan support. There are still the big cities that get left out, but cities will get their turn sooner or later. Look up "Vancouver Whitecaps" here on youtube for a better idea of who they are.
I am still pushing for NC. Raleigh would be a great place for an expansion team. there is a huge latin community and a college soccer culture. (UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, NC State) plus they have proven themselves open to other major sports. look at the NHL hurricanes hockey team! at least kids in NC play soccer, no one played hockey in raleigh, but they still support there team and are very educated on the sport.
I do not like Bruce Arena. The American team was bad with him in charge. Now with the new coach seems that the game is quite different.

Do you know if there's a model of United's new stadium anywhere? DC has deserved their own stadium for a long time.
