Great idea, I was with you up until Celine Dion started singing. I seriously hate her cover of the song. Would have been nice to have Angela Lansbury's version from the movie. I HATE SMOOTH JAZZ.

The original soundtrack to Cocteau's Belle et a Bete is beautiful and was created to compliment the film. Whatever this music is - it is awful.

Philip Glass's version was bad enough and he's a decent composer.

Excellent rendition having the classic B&W film with the contemporary score. Cocteau's version of this story has to be the best ever made. (George C. Scott played the beast in a tv movie version.) I especially like it that this is in French -- "Belle, Je suis la porte dan votre chambre..."
