Thank you very much! I was wondering, I am 29, my dad tried steering away from cars although I have been in love with classics as far as i can remember. I was wondering how one with little experience may approach a shop and ask them for an apprenticeship. I have always been a great learner, hard worker, and I want to get into every aspect of the car world. Any advice?
I SEE THE IWATA IS GREAT IS MY CHOICE OVER SATA AT THE MOMENT BUT DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DURABLOCK 007 I HEARD GREAT FEED BACK ON IT PLEASE SOME HONEST OPINION...?????
@SHOWMONEY5 Good Question. I have never used one. It will be interesting to see if someone posts some feedback about one. Be sure to visit collisionblast . com for more auto body tips and training. Thanks, Donnie
Would u do a video on spray gun adjustments. adjusting the air, fan and paint, maybe show some test pattern show how each adjustment affects the pattern and what a proper pattern looks like. maybe show the difference between tips like 1.3 and 1.4. any help on how to adjust the gun would be great must video just show how to shoot the paint but no adjustments. please keep up the great videos. love them thanx
@dontask33 Thanks for watching the videos. I am glad that you are finding them helpful. I also appreciate your suggestion. That is a great idea and I will do a video on that soon. is a spray paint tank bottle okay? i sprayed my car's hood and buffed it and it gave me good results, but i don't know if you recommend it..... as long as i spray evenly and buff is it okay? i know it seems weird, but at least i don't paint cars with paint rollers
I have the exact gun but i do not have the orange cap at the moment but that will change after watching this video.
My only concern about iwata is how well will it hand high solid materials, etc CLEARCOATS?
Great video, i wish this could be live i could throw billions of questions ;) Maybe you can talk about what brand paint you guys like using with the iwata...
@jeetkunedoground The Iwata does a great job with the clearcoat. If you want more fluid you can use the silver cap. However, the orange will give you more control with the paint gun. I do plan to have a live video in the future. Iwata may have a gauge for the tip, but I have not seen it. I will find out before the next q&a. Thanks for watching and have a great 4th!
What do you guys think about BINKS spray guns.

great info. what's the psi you use on the orange tip?
CaliCal68 5 months ago
@CaliCal68 We use 20 to 22 PSI at the gun. We have found this produces the best results for us.

im a painter and yes orange cap works better than silver cap.. It gives a uniform texture of clear and it lays the clear like glass.
