  • Haha they are installed backwards!!

  • Damn!!! How much would one of those cost?

  • learn to ride, get those chicken strips off the back tire.nice bike.

  • is your right muffler hanging a little lower than the left ? i just bought the same set of slip on and its a little uneven with the right being lower

  • sexy sexy bike..

  • I have the same setup but 2010. Graves, but I put them inverted. Check it out :) Sweet ride dude!

  • id put em on the other way to look better

  • dude, id have sex with your bike lol

  • I agree that you should let the bike warm up properly, but the myth about breaking one in is flase. You should never pin the throttle of a bike without a load on it. When you are breaking it in you need to put miles on it and make sure to go up and down in the rpm range during the first couple hundred miles. Dont just get on it and run 60 for 500 miles. Break the bike in how it is going to be riddin...

  • listen to my YOSHI CANS.

  • cool

  • dnt u have them backwards, arent the curve of the pipes suppose to push the exhaust away from the light rather than towards the tailight

  • no brother. check Graves' website. they changed the direction for this 2009. Ride safe.

  • @asicswrestler2003 look at the logos. They're right

  • @asicswrestler2003 Check out mine, I know exactly what you mean! I had them done that way, I liked it better. PC V. 170hp give or take.

  • @asicswrestler2003 You'd have to be a fucking retard to install these backwards. Think about the angle of the pipe from the muffler inlet. They'd stick out like a turd in a punch bowl!

  • yea definately not diggin the sound of the new R1

  • have u guys been under a rock o9 r1 has crossplane crank

  • question. y is it that '09 r1 sounds dif. than '08-'07 r1s? or may be, my hearing aid is off, lol. 'preciate it. bad ass bike u got there bro! peace...

  • naaa all inline 4s sound retarded like its gonna die and 1-3k revs once it hits past 8 is where all the sweet music is

  • Hey what do you mean by broken in? and how do you break it in? and until you break it in, you can't ride it? I"m sorry for all the questions, but i'm gonna get one soon and i just wanna know as much as i can about it.

  • @Ldgarl1 You SHOULD ride it when breking in, but you should not abuse it, ride easy. You break it in by just riding it and letting it heat up properly before every ride.

  • @Ldgarl1 Breaking in is letting the engine settle right, since it is new, the parts havent been expanded or used enough, so it needs some "breaking time" to adjust. Just like new shoes.

  • just put deposit on 1 of these.could u tell me.did bike come with red rims around wheels

  • yes, the red pinstripe is factory.

  • very nice bike...awesome

  • I like this!

    めっちゃ良いと思いますよ^^

  • best colour

  • lol i live right by san jose

  • you now need a tail tidy ;) it will look amazing then

  • Now thats an orgasmic sound. Ducati better watch out.

  • what a sexy sound.... but i like Akrapovic more ;)

  • great lookin bike. the exhaust sounds sick. good luck with it.

  • Gotta love the Pittbull stands!

  • awesome bike dude!! how much have u spend in all aftermarket produkts by now?

  • Shorty Levers:$225, Double bubble screen: $75, Graves slip on exhaust:$1,150, R&G Sliders and spools:$250, Comfort seat:$200, GYTR tank pad, rear set and gas cap trim:$60, Graves flush mount frount turn signals:$110, Custom LED integrated tailight:$145, GYTR Carbon FIber front tank and chain guard:$350...TOTAL: $2,565.00... Having a BadAss bike like this to "ride off" a crappy day at the office: PRICELESS...

  • lol =)

well said!! congrats on that badass bike...

  • Just bought the same bike two weeks ago from San Jose Yamaha! Those guys rock. See you at the shop or on the road.

  • TAIL KIT!! Asap! ;)

  • Greggs Customs has a sick FE but doesn't have them for sale yet. Trust me it is on my list. Custom LED has the integrated turn signals in the tail light so the tail will be CLEAN very soon.

  • Right on. Seriously awesome, awesome bikes. The only thing I can't scream about on the new R1's is the seemingly steep angle the windshield sits up at. But I wouldn't hesitate to swap my R6 for one if I could haha.

  • The clear stock windscreen sat much lower than the after market dubble bubble. I do love the double bubble though because it really changes the airstream when I am tucked and flying on the highway.

  • Hm. Maybe it's just the way the front edge of the fairing is angled then. They all seem steep to me but I'd still ride one :)

  • AWESOME BIKE BRO......

  • I sure wish my 250cc single sounded like that, then I wouldn't bother get a bigger one.

  • does the US models come with gold wheels on black?

  • Nope. Black rims with the red pinstripe only...as far as stock goes. I believe the European model is gold on black though.

  • Dude thats sick im buyin my raven nextweek i cant wait

    =)

  • is this bike easy to use around town?

  • Oh yes! and the different throttle settings make all traffic conditions manageable.

  • very nice bike.

    maybe I should change my 08 R6

  • Very nice machine bro! Congrats and ride safe brother!

  • this is very nice

  • Finally an inline 4 superbike that sounds superb!

  • Yamaha says keep it under 6900 RPM for the first 600 miles. Drain and change the oil, tighten the chain, etc. at 600 miles also. Then keep it under 8300 RPM until you reach 1000 miles...then its ON! What you need to concentrate on the most is fluctuating between gears and RPM's. I have heard that you don't want to keep the engine in any gear or specific RPM for any long periods of time.

  • Yes the Graves came with the large CF shield for the right side and the smaller CF on the left side.

  • mate, it sounds insane.. you lucky duck...

  • far out ! sounds awesome i hope most inline fours start going this way ! mean as ricer that sounds like a twin good show mate

  • damnnnnn!!!!!

  • how does it ride??

  • Damn near takes itself to the track!

  • looks porn mate, your a lucky man!!!

  • how much did you get your R1 for? i was quoted 12,050 out the door and a guy in NY got one for 11,700. i'm in Newport Beach CA.

  • i live in san jose!! lols well..i used to, moved to hayward tho and wow dude!! kickass bike!! especially the headlights tho!! its a beast!!

  • no like ilike more 2008.

  • sounds like a twin down low

  • Beautiful R1.. you paid around 11.5k for it right

  • dude you got $1200 exhaust and couldn't get the $100 fender eliminater, lol, but keep on keeping on, thats a sweet ride, getting the same one, but doing akra's, where are you from, Ny is the last place to get these damn things, we don't have them yet and I wanted it last month

  • Matt, California got the bikes before anyone had next to anything to order for it. Gregg's Customs released the fender eliminator as of this week as did Yamaha. I have a fender eliminator and all the possible carbon fiber pieces on order. I will post a walk around on or about the 28th of this month when all my carbon and eliminator kit is installed.

  • Love the bike. Great screen and pipes. All you need is a fender eliminator and you are set. Amazing how quick the 09 R1 spins up. Noticed while you were reving it. The reviews I've read also mention it. I've got an 05 and would love to upgrade. Very jelous

  • sweet bike!! sounds beastly. you gonna give us some riding vid's anytime soon? ride safe :)

  • It really does sound great, Thank you. I did recently purchase the Hero mini cam from my local shop. I will be riding and filming as soon as we get a few consistent dry riding days.

  • Congratulations! I think is the best bike ever and I am getting one too. What do you think about the tank pad? Is it really a good idea?

  • Thanks. Well I prefer the tank pad over a scratched gas tank due to belt buckles and riding gear zippers and such.

  • nice bike sexy color its better on blue still sexy did u give her a name

  • Thanks. Nope haven't named her yet, still breaking her in. Once I get on her for real I'm sure it will come to me.

  • fantastic bit of kit this, what do you mean broken in so you can ride it... your supposed to be riding it TO break it in, just staying under a curtain amount of revs.... that's how all bikes are run in.

  • Exactly what I meant. I can't wait til she is broke in and I can really get on the throttle. I am riding her to break her in thanks.

  • ah ok bud :) happy riding then :)
