I am a Korean, and sure is better than you guys at reading emotions of ourselves. Not to mention it traditionally isn't very Korean-like to actually try to hide emotions - most Koreans are usually really bad at it (and therefore, are bad actors as well, although yes, debatable). On my viewpoint, he seems like any innocent, curious boy fully submerged into his own world.

I love that you compose music for your dog and your friends. It shows your heart is full of love, and this piece shows your sense of joy too. I find myself listening to this over and over, it makes me feel so good. When I come home from a hard day at work, I check my emails and listen to Coco.

yeah. I think he appears serious because he concentrates his whole mind on playing. When I'm doing what I do I too look serious/sad but am happy inside, I bet this is the case here as well.

Serious face: Traditional Oriental culture generally disapproves of public display of emotion. Sungha was born and still lives with his family in S. Korea.

What motivates him to play: Sungha was quoted in an interview as saying that he can express his feelings through his guitar. (This doesn't stop people from accusing him of not having feelings, since they are not aware of cultural influence).

Sungha wrote several of his compositions in appreciation of his friends.

not true at all. Just youtube some Korean shows. We're all about laughing, everyone has to be hilarious or they can't succeed. Even singers have to be part-time comedians or they're not particularly welcome.

Sungha's probably just a naturally mellow guy or he gets this way when he's performing. Trust me, Korean's are normally loud, boisterous people. If you're thinking reserved people you're probably thinking Japanese (I'm in japan, i should know) or Russians for lack of emotion

I guess compared to Japan korea's really boisteroud, but Asians as a whole are generally more reserved..
