  • First MMA fight ever.

  • ... Великий..... Али)))

  • The world loves Ali

  • Ali did not want to hurt the japanese. If he wanted to Ali would have killed the jap with one punch !

  • 2:00 woulda been the end for ali under ufc rules or in reality : /

  • @Yahweigh Your point? In reality every time the guy lunged to the ground and laid on his back Ali would have stomped on his head.

  • @cpaignboxing stomped on his head how?

Try stomping on sumones head while their feet are pointing towards you and their foot goes in your groin...

ali is a good boxer but would die on the floor in seconds just like all the other boxers that have entered mma tournaments, bob or weave under mma rules and the guy grabs a leg then seconds later its over, thats why you never see boxers actually using boxing in a fight under mma rules.

  • @Yahweigh when do you see boxers in mma? NEVER!! Ali could have easily kept trying to stomp on his head. At one point ali grabbed both of the dudes feet. He could have thrown them bye and stompped on his head. All im saying is a guy doing what this dude is doing is very unrealistic and you will end up seriously hurt trying to do that in a fight were someone can stomp on your head

  • @cpaignboxing What i am saying is that "just stomp on his head" is not easy.

Just like saying "just puch him in the face" is not easy.

And you do see boxers in mma, like james toney and there were more in ufc back in like 1993 when it started.

  • @Yahweigh the james toney who just got demolished by a bum and was a fat piece of shit compared to his old self. Is that the james toney your talking about? I know Ray mercer tried it have you seen that? Im guessing you have. Name the other boxers.good ones not some bum like art jimmerson who never fought top competition his entire career. And what do u mean stomping on someones head is not easy? Ali could have kept doing it over and over again with ease.Do u also realize how old this Ali is?

  • @cpaignboxing stomping on the head of a trained and resisting opponent is not easy.

i have no idea how old he is here but that only really matters in boxing matches.

  • @Yahweigh What do u mean that only matters in boxing matches. This Ali is slow old and weak. This Ali had been in many wars and is a complete shell of his former self. Explain to me what you mean when you say age only really matters in boxing?

  • @cpaignboxing speed matters 10x more in boxing than in grappling because when you grab sumone, you have them but to keep hitting them you gotta be fast.

The fights also last extremely long times because of the rules.

  • @Yahweigh LOL age is a huge factor in just about every physical sport in the world. Age effects strength, stamina, reflexes, speed, sight EVERYTHING!! For example MMA fans take James Toney seriously when he is a FAT OLD PAST HIS PRIME BUM

  • @cpaignboxing even if he were younger he wouldnt do much good in the mma world if he tried to box people.

Boxing isnt anywhere near as usefull in mma fights as in a boxing match.

  • @Yahweigh If he learned takedown defense and trained he could dominate using his boxing. Every fight starts standing up. Not saying he could just use boxing and go dominate mma without any training but he was a great athlete and obviously no one in mma could stand with him if he learned how to check and counter kicks

  • @cpaignboxing if he drastically altered his stance and technique and no longer tried to bob and weave or lean back then he might do ok in mma.

For example, a jab isnt worth the risk of gettin took down or leg/head kicked, thats why it never really gets used as much in mma as in boxing.

  • @Yahweigh haha dude no more arguing with you u have no idea what your talking about. U have no clue how effective a jab is. Did u not see GSP completely dominate Koscheck with a jab.

  • @cpaignboxing no i didnt and i rarely see anyone jab in mma, in my opinion its too risky for little reward.

  • @Yahweigh LOL dude u have no clue what ur talking about

  • @Yahweigh You rarely see anyone jab?? I guess the jabs in MMA happen too fast for you to register. Do you want the list?

  • oh shit biff tanen gave michael j fox (marty mcfly) parkinsons lol

  • Typing correction 'Shavers fight'. And i have no idea how to spell the name of Ali's doctor.

  • I know plenty pal!! And you don't know me so shove UR comment where the sun don't shine!!!! Any damage to the human body can result in parkinsons disease!! Of course it goes without saying the head trauma was the 'main' cause!! ;-P

  • How undignified was this?

  • I remember this fight....not a wise thing for Ali to participate in! Maybe the damage he sustained to his legs may have contributed to his present condition!!?? Obvioulsy the punches he took in his career also did alot particularly the ones from George Foreman!

  • @colinjpowell You actually know nothing. How would kicks to his legs contribute to parkinsons disease? It's a result of severe head trauma. And George hit Ali with about a million body shots, only a handful of them caught Ali's head. Anyone who knows Ali's career to a small degree would tell you that he was never the same after the Thrilla in Manilla in 1985, which was most likely what caused his current condition added with 20 years of other fights.

  • @pgshents.

Foreman hit Ali with some massive head shots. There is a recent interview with Foreman where george says " I hit Ali with punches to the head as hard as i had ever hit any man and his eyes rolled up in his head and he was out, but his powers of recovery were so great that he would bounce off the ropes, blink, shake his head and say ' that the best you got george, come on ,George show me something'....".

And Ali's doctor Ferdie Perchecko? resigned after the shevers fight.

  • @stanssoapbox Yes, and as I said, he hit him with a handful of headshots. Yeah of course they were powerful ones, but MOST (note that i'm not saying 'all') of them hit him in the body. If you actually think the downfall of Ali's career began with his fight against Foreman you are a fool. Watch his fights against people like Richard Dunn and oh... um, I dunno...JOE FRAZIER. The fight with George Forman inflicted no long-term damage on Ali.

  • @stanssoapbox Yes, and as I said, he hit him with a handful of headshots. Yeah of course they were powerful ones, but MOST (note that i'm not saying 'all') of them hit him in the body. • @pgshents. I don't really want to carry on this discussion because people here want to read comments on the Ali Inoki match. No i don't think George Foreman gave Ali Parkinsons but i do think the knockdown in the 1st Fraizure fight, the big shot to the head that wobbled Ali in 2nd round of the Shavers fight, the wollops to the head from foreman and the accumilation of head shots from big punchers like Fraizure ( all 3 fights) , Shavers & Holmes all contributed.

  • @stanssoapbox Stan, I don't think you know what you're talking about. Boxer Tommy Hearns and other fighters have been knocked out and took much more hits than Ali but they don't have parkinson's. And on the other hand, most people with parkinson's have never boxed. Does the name Michael J. Fox sound familiar? For many years the media biasly has tried to link Ali's parkinson's with boxing but they're now starting to step back with that attitude. Parkinson's is not a boxing disease it's genetic.

  • @compovision There are also a number of disorders with parkinsonian features for which the cause is known. These disorders are referred to as Parkinson Syndrome (PS). PS also includes pugilistic parkinsonism, a disorder of professional boxers who receive multiple blows to the head and in whom symptoms progress even after they stop fighting. Pugilistic parkinsonism affected Jack Dempsey, Joe Lewis and, more recently, Muhammad Ali.

  • @compovision I can't think which fight caused the Pugulistic Parkinsonism in Michael J Fox.

  • @pgshents.

I would like to offer you and 'colinjpowell' some mediation. You are correct about the leg shots but not about the 'Thriller In Manilla' being in 1985. But i think you know that already. Just the same as i know that shavers is not spelled shevers.

  • @colinjpowell: Well Ali never got another KO after this fight and the injury did affect his future mobility not to mention that he almost lost his leg as well. Maybe he's regretting making his people change the rules to prevent Inoki wrestling

  • プロレス技をことごとく、禁止されたルールの中で、猪木は、良く、考えたもんだなぁ。。アリ病院送り・・・・

  • whoevers saying that inoki is a pussy or any type of bs like that is a fucking idiot!! hes beating ali with what ali is horrible at, lower body striking=kicking!!! inoki was just tearing up his legs!!! you know ali was limping for a few days after this fight!! but if it was an even boxing match ali would have just dominated up the ass!!!

  • Aww, isn't it nice to see them togerther at the end? But this event was a bad decision by Ali's camp. Ferdie Pacheco contended that this spelt the beginning of the end of his career. For a man who relied so much on his legs to subject them to 15 rounds of being kicked in a nonsense exhibition that meant nothing was the height of stupidity. All it would have taken was a clot to form in, say, his femoral vein and he would have been royally fucked. And how else did they expect things tio go?

  • at the end of the day inoki sent ali to the hospital and he was hurt so bad he couldnt make the press conference after. due to the damage to his legs this was the begining of the end of his boxing career.

  • thats fighting LMFAO Inoki is mad pussy

  • all inoki does is kick hes not man enough to take ali's punches

  • @xfactor2001 neither are you

  • Comment removed

  • and to think that those kicks were major factors in the downfall of Ali's wonderful career. He was never able to recuperate his great speed after this bout. The cuts in his legs became infected and they almost had to amputate one of his legs. I bet thats not the outcome they expected out of this gimmick match-up.

  • @TheVerge2011 wow really!? where can i find this info?

  • @adairbritton it's pretty easy to find info on this. I had heard about it from several sources throughout the years. There's a good article on the Sport Blog called 'The forgotten story of Ali and Inoki' that goes into detail about this 'fight' if you want to look it up.

  • If you watch the whole fight uncut you'll see that Inoki spends a lot of time laying on his back.If this were fought using today's rules,Inoki would've had no choice but to fight Ali standing up as the ref would've forced Inoki to stand up after laying down so much and we all know what would've happened then...

  • If this were fought using today's rules,Inoki would've had no choice but to fight Ali standing up as the ref would've force Inoki to stand up after laying down so much and we all know what would've happened then...

  • there is no way ali could fight a muay thai fighter

  • now that's what you get for spilling too much crap from your mouth ali !

hope you enjoyed your night and day in the hospital.

  • i wish ali woulda kicked him in the teeth 1 time ,,,i cant belive a grown man would act like that ,,,this is what happens when you get no telent wanna be;s ,,,mixed in with pro's ,,he looks like a little bitch to me ,,,ALI WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST ,,,PERIOD

  • Flipping heck, this Inoki dude's gotta massive chin - you could land a chinook helicopter on it

  • This idiot actually tried to kick Ali in the face. Does he know who he is? Disrespectful bastard.

  • love the end

  • nice video, but the referee was a dumbass
