I mean yea, in a pinch it could certainly be used as a distraction or to buy a few precious extra seconds, but taking into account the time and skill it would take to get it up, in range, and firing, I have to think that there's GOT to be a quicker, simpler, more effective method for any practical application this has. Then again I've never been in the military, so I could be wrong.

I was assuming that that particular bird was a prototype. Given the state of technology in microrobotics as well as model aircraft I sincerely doubt it'd be that difficult to armor. As it flies, no, it'd not be battleworthy imho, but that thing has rolls royce levels of potential.
