@UnCanadienFrancis Sometimes I called my screens the Thunderbirds I called my XBOX 360 Thunderbird 1, My Computer Thunderbird 2, My TalkTalk mail Thunderbird 3 & I still don't know about what which screen is Thunderbird4 & Thunderbird 5 I would think?
It's hard to believe that this and 'Thunderbird 6' were box office failures. I think the story lines were a little too focused on Alan instead of all the thunderbirds, but still great movies in my opinion, definitely Gerry Anderson was at his best with Thunderbirds, no question. Thanks for the upload. :)
In the fall of 1965 Then-President Lyndon B. Johnson had the NERVE to butt-in to THE BOZO SHOW (and other After-School Kids Shows) to have a News Conferance. :( But us Detroit-Area Kids had a little trick up our sleeves, across the River was CANADA and their Station also had Kids Shows! Tuning in what do I see? Puppets flying Spaceships and operating Strange Gadgets! I LIKE! Goodbye Bozo HELLO THUNDERBIRDS! This was my first introduction to Science Fiction. Thank You President Johnson!
@bark1986 supermarionation was the technique used by Gerry Anderson's puppeteers on the series, it's derived from the term 'Marionette', meaning 'puppet controlled by strings'.
I have seen several interviews with Gerry Anderson and he says exactly what JKSpiero has said. PWOR means ''proceeding with orders received''. That is from Troy Tempest himself.
Actually, "F-A-B" was just a spelling out, based on the popular British catchphrase at the time. 9This was the 1960's, and the Beatles made their world debut in '64. Some newspapers called them "the 4 Lads from Liverpool" while others called them "the Fab Four" (short for "fabulous.")
Other Anderson shows like STINGRAY and CAPTAIN SCARLET had call-phrases like P-W-O-R, and S-I-G (the latter meaning "Spectrum Is Green.")
They included Thunderbird 4 in this opening, but it wasn't actually used in the Zero x film or the Thunderbird 6 film, was it? Just a fair point I had to make.
@imperialtrooper501 If you have the video front coverof thunderbirds are go, the 1990's cover thunderbird 4 is on the front cover and in white, not yellow, and as you said thunderbird 4 wasn't used for both
I liked how thnderbirds just suddenly became popular again in the 1990's and early 2000's

This was one of my favorite TV shows as a kid. What fond memories...Here's a little trivia:
What does "FAB" stand for?
Give up? It stands for "Full Acknowledgment of Broadcast". How cool, huh?
I received the movie, Thunderbirds 6" for my birthday this month. I love it!!
Thanks for the memories....
