  • The hole is for a lanyard. The forward lanyard allows for proper grip when using the knife in a defensive swing.

  • This knife looks like the perfect handy little knife to carry around with you (without scaring the pants off of cops). What's with the little hole in the FIXED blade though? I read somewhere that it's Spyderco's affectation. Some vanity thing? That can't be right though. You wouldn't drill holes in a blade just to appease your own vanity. So what's it for then?
