  • Bom!

  • nothing more to say then: "Just the best"........

They are looking like a couple....and not like 2 people on a hunt

  • womens looks sexy when they dance RUMBA =-P

  • i think she was just lucky that her dancepartner was bryan..of course she was/is very good dancer but nothing special compared with yulia, joanna, oxana...my opinion

  • LOVE how she does the "switch" right after doing the "fan". So soft & graceful!

  • Das Schönste und Beste, was ich je gesehen habe! Carmen tanzt einfach wie von einem anderen Stern ... Der pure Wahsnsinn ! Bryan ist einfach der absolute Oberhammer ...

  • I don't get the hoopla with them really, nothing special IMO, Yulia Zagorenchenko is far better than her and he isn't a stand out, never got why they were so popular, simple dancers IMO

  • @Chuckie1028 i also use to think so, but when i saw them dancing live it was amazing

  • @Chuckie1028 i also use to think so, but when i saw them dancing live it was amazing.... Yulia is good, but its only her speed that makes her so good

  • @Chuckie1028

Well, rumba nor paso are particularly their strengths. But Bryan is "the bomb" because of the mechanics of movement. His body is like flubber. Yulia has speed and agility, I give you that, but not so much character. Carmen now... she's a character. ;)

  • when dancing is so beautiful you don't even care about the steps...

  • I love his shirt... ah and the part from 0:00 to 3:39

  • They were,They are and They will be the best EVER!

  • I don't what you crazy people are trying to say: boring? Try watching this dance over and over again - then you'll realize that they actually dance beautifully.. They became the best couple for professional - I have been watching their videos a lot of time here and i still think they are perfectly dancers.. Bryan and Carmen have their own style to show off the dance with feelings and intense of it - and they do it beautifully....

  • I miss them :(

  • Indeed dancing is not a sport in the sense of just competition. Dancing is more a kind of entertainment. Dancing is an wedding of technique, feeling, inspiration, and love.

Although competition has driven dancing to high performances I don't like it as a sport. De one minute that a couple could show something is just not enough to see their full potential. Therefore I like the solo's much more and this is a beautiful example of how it could be when you delete the arena.

  • I'm not a ballroom dancer, but I can certainly appreciate good dancing of any style when I see it. This seems like very beautiful dancing, and it is undoubtedly a brilliant song, but my opinion is the dancing is not the right fit for the music. They do seem to be amazing dancers, though.

  • this is amazing...No one could emulate Watson's Style and Carmen's elegance.. This is a fantastic rumba... and they were one of the best couple in the world.... Impossible to say that this is boring or uninspired... omg :|

  • Ballroom and latin american dancing is about the guy being the frame and the lady being the picture.. I only saw pictures...

  • hahaha...how can u explain latin dancing as a frame and a picture...it's much more than a guy holding or framing his partner...

and people please try to look at urself first and then coment on others dancin'

Simon86 u did not just say that Bryan and Carmens' dancing bored u!!!this is just unacceptable!there dancing is much deeper that ur eys could see that ur brain could realize than ur heart could feel...

  • @zhivkodanc3r

"how can u explain latin dancing as a frame and a picture"

It's a metaphor. A comparison. It's not to be taken literally.

The boy frames the girl as a projection of their dancing. That is why good boys can make bad girls look decent. That is way a good girl with a bad boy will never look half as good.

  • @cmcmcm101010 thats because dance is evolving with the times having such limited views in gender roles will dampen the evolution of the wonder genre of latin dance this couple show the new direction of where dance is going along with modern society showing equality

  • first try to be the best in world ...and then you can say anything ...think about your dance career...have you been so successful????

  • I agree with the critics. It kind of bores me what they do on the floor. Like most couples today. A lot of it seems to get lost in the vid's. But other couples dancing doesn't get lost in vids at all. Of course, todays dancer try to be like them, and therefore adore them. But I find it a sad developement how this sport evolved, or better didn't evolve.

  • the mere fact that you call dancing a sport leads me to believe that you don't know much about it.

  • @BurgundyBag No, that is exactly what I criticised. Couples like Bryan and Carmen and Malitowski Something are the reason why you HAVE to call it 'Sport'. Cause that's all that's left of this former artform today!

  • danced like champions but I am missing something there. Chemistry maybe or maybe some more passion. But the awesome dancing

  • i think alot of it gets lost in video's. i think we would have felt alot more if we were there :D

    still fantastic!

  • No chemistry within the couple either

  • This is one of the most boring and uninspired rumbas i've ever seen from a top dancer. Awful. You shouldn't choose beautiful music if you can't feel it and therefore can't make it visible.

  • The original song is john Lenon's.

  • wonderful

  • Gorgeous dress totally complemented her skin tone..the song maybe a little odd for this type of dance..but that's what a true artist can do, express themselves and communicate with their bodies in any situation with any type of music..kudos!!

  • amazing outfits that really compliment their unique styles. That are also by the way just highlighted majorly by the amazing song

  • What is the song? it is beautiful!

  • ''Imagine'' From Eva Cassidy

  • most interesting song choice for a rumba that i've ever heard of...

  • this is trueeee

  • bryan can wear anything and get away with it haha

  • hehe, I think that's why he became the world champion ;)

  • They seem to have perfected the combination between working and resting at the right time, and at the right parts of the body.. The entire picture they are presenting is great.

  • I could watch this dance all day long .. this is just beautiful

  • wonderful dancing

but what in the world are they wearing?!

  • Very beautiful

  • but this has nothing to do with the basic rumba steps has it???

  • actually it has, from the rumba basics many figures have been created, syllabus is created and top couples like Bryan & Carmen take those very basic figures to competitive variations.

  • This is beautiful but i don't see a lot of chemistry. He is too into himself...

  • Think this is their best rumba ever, but i like the version which the danced at the "welttanzgala 2007" more. it's more passional.

  • I luv Bryan and Carmen,nd i have seen them, but this is one of there best dances ever...its beautiful. Brill! x

  • You could not prompt who sings this song.?

  • imagine by eva cassidy

  • Still amongst the most enjoyable performers to watch.

  • Great to see such outstanding International Style Rumba.

  • Ah, gotta say it again. Carmen looks absolutely beautiful in this video. No wonder she's world champion.

  • I love how they dance, and I love the song, bt its not cnvncing... for rumba it should bea romantic song that can be reflected in their expression...

  • I feel that Bryan is one of the best or if not, the best latin dancer currently. Some people may dispute that, but whatever. However, I feel, Carmen deserves a lot more recognition for her dancing as well. She really shines in this video. Her balance is perfect. And you can tell she actually works hard, to get a figure like that. Kudos to her.

  • amazing!! every musical accent is accentuated :) only world champions can dance like this - every move with passion simply perfection

  • Yeah, Riccardo and Yulia will be outstanding. I meant to say they will be the next world champions.

  • These two are so beautiful to watch, the next Bryan and Carmen is Riccardo and Yulia.

  • nope because ricardo & yulia will be

    so much better

  • No. Just no. A cat has more chance in hell.

  • perfection

  • Beautiful!

  • so what if he's gay? duh!

  • How romantic it is! Especilly song is matched with Rumba. The perfect combination it is. Thanks.

  • this version is by eva cassidy

  • the original song was "imagine" by john lennon. I don't know who sang this cover.

  • pls name of song?

  • Slavik Kryklyvyy :)

  • it isn't slavik ;) it is bryan watson.

  • Es wäre echt suuuper lieb wenn mir jemand das lied schicken könnte

    icq: 424410651

  • eva cassidy "imagine"

  • Why pretend? ashamed of yourself ? If you are proud of yourself, you should invent a dance for two of you, the same sex, to dance together. And then see how the world receive you? dancewu dot net

  • If our ancestors were all homosexuals, you and I would not be here today! dancewu dot net

  • What if one or both are homosexuals? They are doing heterosexual expressions? Where is the passion? And where is the romance? They became acting. remember the audience are not stupid people! dancewu dot net

  • If you say so, I can give you an example. How about a couple whom both are heterosexual and hate each other? Where is the passion then? Where is the romance? They act too in terms of your opinion. You can tell you don't like their dancing, but if you are talking about the passion for dancing, I believe they have more than you have the passion for dancing.

  • The audience is not stupid, but they can be decieved anyways. You could never pick out the gay male or female dancers from international competitions, period. If you'd see Bryan dance live, you'd never guess he's gay. Most of the people in dancing world who've watched him for years are like "What? He's gay?". Trust me, they know their stuff much better than you do, george.

  • Who cares if they are homosexuals??? Shall dancesport be banned for gay people?

  • Finally... I have had the pleasure & honnour of dancing with Bryan & Carmen both in lessons & social dancing as well as meeting socially off the floor. They not only passed on their knowledge, their passion & drive reminded me why dancers dance... It makes us happy & our souls whole.

  • Secondly.. When you know the theory, when you are training every day so your muscles do it naturally & correctly, every step, line & connection is ingrained in you as it is with these two & many others THEN talk about lack of romance & feeling. Trust me, ANYONE who has as much dedication to get ANYWHERE in dancesport knows what real passion is... we live & breath it every single moment, on or off the floor, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

  • To start, I agree 100% with LatinDrums... Learn how to dance then let yourself give into the emotions & then you will start to feel & become the music. True dancers let the music move them, each song can change the feeling of the same corri.

I also think that their "lack of romance" if seen can be attributed to this, listen to the song, feel it's meaning... Passion in a Rumba doesn't need to be sexual..

  • they really dont convey romance

which is usually what you have to do

in rumba BUT they do have amazing chemistry

and it shows in all their dances.

  • learn to FEEL the music and learn to control your body and then you can try to understand the romance...

  • close your eyes and listen to the music.. it's so romantic.. and turn the music off and watch the dance..does anybody see any romance?? sincerely even if I think it's so perfect, they could'nt make me feel the love.... dommage..

  • you can't turn the music off, when you watch any couple dance. the music is a basic for dancing. Haveyou ever seen them live? those two are the most passional dance-couple ever!!!

  • wtf that music isn't even rumba, they dance beautiful but neither the dance nor music are rumba!

  • only talk about things you have any idea of.

the music AND the dance is rumba! they do much more rumba basics as all other professional couples. lol@your stupid comment

  • First, stupid, it was the British, not the Americans.

Second, rumba is not a latin american dance. There is some other dance, also called the rumba, but just because some people were dancing it in their backyards first doesn't make it more real.

  • You're the stupid one to point out that Americans revised this version of Rumba.

  • the dance is so beautiful, i love them

  • bryan is the best male latin dancer in the world!

  • I prefer Slavik, but that's just my personal taste. I can still appreciate why Bryan is rated above him and just how unbelievably talented he is. Hate the costumes of this dance though!

  • I like his dancing a lot. Just tell me where did you find a male? let me know i would like to see it too.

  • how incredible all these little action/reaction changes are...that's dancing at its best!

  • I love those little action reaction very very much too. What has it got to do with RUMBA? Rumba is not a dance of two perfectly trained FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good point!!!!!!!!! I agree!!!!!

  • Wow can a rumba be danced more beautifully?

  • Duh, but I've got to admit that this rumba has something special

  • No. Can not be done.Unless you are Alan Tornsberg and at least during the dance you pretend you interested in opposite sex.

  • No. Can not be done, Unless you are Alan Tornsberg and at least during the rumba you pretend you interested in your partner.

  • No. Can not be done. Unless you are Alan and at least during the dance you pretend you interested in your partner.

  • this song and dance are amazing. who have got this song please send me thanks

  • I don't like it. It's no rumba, nothing about love, romance, just technically done.

  • That is because you have very little Idea of dancing, my dear! :)

  • Nope, I compete in the Latin rounds. I know what I'm talking about.

    :)

  • I compete in the latin rounds, but I think in my personal opinion that there are better couples out there

  • Well, I also compete in the latin rounds (infact - in the S Class), and NO! I don't think that there is a better couple than Bryan and Carmen out there! Furthermore, I don't believe that a better couple would come out even in the next 10 - 15 years!

  • half of the world don't like them? that's a lie noone would say that bryan was or is not a nearly perfect dancer! Everybody likes the style of him dances absolutely perfect.

Of course you can say that there are better dancers but it is your opinion and i don't think that there is someone except slavik that can dance a rumba beautiful like that.

beauty refers to the eye of the spectator.

  • I know. It's really hard to recognise quality dancing.

  • Amazing, they work so well together :) wonderful to watch this video, thnx for posting!

  • so beautiful,so perfect,crying for them!

  • are here some real dancers? how long you train?

  • what do you mean by how long you train? you mean how old these dancers have to start to dance at this level? or how many hours a day they go at it? in first case, 5-10 yrs old. the later is 8 hrs x 7 days a week

  • how stupid can u be when u talk about something u haev never exprienced in your life

  • How can any style of dance be fake? Yes, it may be staged here, but you put those two on a dance floor and tell them to freestyle a rumba they could do it. And by the way, you knew what it was so don't bother watching in future and let those who appreciate passionate dance enjoy it in peace!

  • what the hell are you talking? have you ever seen them live? when i saw them for the first time, i was crying, cause every single dance of those two is full of passion. you just have no idea what ballroom dance is!!

  • You know, I do agree with you despite that I really enjoy international style dancing. I just don't think the present generation of top level dancers have much "spirit" in what they are dancing. Yeah, they are technically perfect and the choreography is stunting but where is the romantic part? After all, rumba is the dance of romance! Albeit that it is a "British" interpretation of romance. Just look at Donnie Burns and Gaynor Fairweather's demo. They are just of a different class.

  • what's the singer name? tell me please

  • Eva Cassidy - Imagine

  • That's a rumba!!! Bryan and Carmen are the best(for now)

  • bryan und carmen unsere Weltmeister!!!!

  • It's boring,IMHO.

  • i agree

  • for all they say some negativ thinks they now nothing about dance he is the best

  • oooomfg

  • Its Official! Bryan Watson & Carmen have won blackpool 2007 and have officially retired after dominating the international latin division for 7 years, The most in history! Congrats to them and they will be missed!

  • What a women she has such passion in her Body ,its like she has fire inside an she is letting it all out with her body expressions ,the most passionated rumba dancer I seen on a long time

  • this is awesome....unbelievable artists

  • nice song...but i almost wish i couldn't understand the words~~~ i personally love rumba danced to a song of passion. love. romance.

....not so much...ideology....politics.philosophy. whatever you might call it...

  • WAUW What they create on the dance floor is tremendous!!

    Amazing how they dance together.

That's what real dancing is about.

    True Champions!!!

  • Eva Cassidy's cover versions seem to be very populr among world class dancers when it comes to rumba...remember ryupin/khvorova and fields of gold.

  • Also Sergey / Melia and Autumn Leaves . . . so beautiful.

  • Eva Cassidy - Imagine

  • does anybody know the name of this song?

  • the original was by John Lennon (Oct, 1971).
