  • Won't work with high-bar ATG weightlifter squats, just little powerlifter half squats.

  • @nicholasbrunello you're probably right - might not work with ass to grass squats, but when someone's just learning to squat and has flexibility/mobility issues - I don't think getting them to squat ass to grass is the first priority =/ teaching them how to sit back and at least hit parallel is.

  • yes, it is a great drill to teach people to sit back. You can also use it to gauge flexibility issues.
