I love her. But that was kind of contradictory, because she said she didn't like Dr.Luke, and Katy perry etc. But she recently went on tour with Katy perry, and is currently collaborating with Dr.Luke on her new album. Oh well, I Stil love her

Lol wow it's crazy and so true about the "heavy metal fans" liking her. I'm a guy and I normally listen to much heavier music, but there's just something about her unique style and the way she expresses herself that attracts everyone.

My God, I met my female equivalent... I recognize so much of what she says she is... introvert, the need to be alone to process life, doesn't like to talk on the phone... :-)

Love how she tears down the institutions/websites milking her fame by saying "Marina studied here", etc.

that's so cool! i'm mostly a hardcore music person(not compltely though. like 59%-41%) and i know no one else around where i live who enjoys her like i do and im so suprised to hear that it turns out theres a bunch of us out there that love her! :D

I listen to a load of hardcore punk and metal, but I love Marina, its probably because her songs actualy mean something and she dosent do it for the fame.

Adorable she is. But moreso just honest, frank, and intelligent. It's such a breath of fresh air. And she is completely right, I normally don't like pop songs. But theres something about this girl, she's just an incredible artist.

I love metal, indie rock, and experimental electronica... and then Marina.. LOL awesome.

She's so clever, so cute, so funny and she really is much more than just a singer. She has put so much passion in her work, that whenever I hear her music, I'm getting way happier than before :)

thanks for this interview! I get what she's saying about being too indie for some people and at the same time being too poppy for others.

but.. she's saying she doesn't like pop artists like Ke$ha, Rihanna, Katy Perry... but at the same time she likes Madonna and Britney, and I know that at least Britney does deff NOT write her songs herself, so I don't quite get that. maybe it's the same thing as with Hollywood, she likes and hates it at the same time?
