  • There is a Java version of that amazing game.

It can be download from DroidQuest com

I've played on Windows7 with no bugs.

  • Hey I know children who know how to use a computer other than a 50 year old person I know.

  • Although I already knew everything there was to know (and more) about this game, I had to watch out of compulsion. I share your pain as to how the DOS version of this game doesn't play normally. I can only imagine how much fun I would have with chip burning if only the DOS version played correctly. (Or if there's an Apple II emulator out there that supports blank disk emulation!)

  • I played this in 1988 at age 11 and finished it. Loved it to death. Always wanted a sequel.

  • Huh. Played a more recent game with a similar bumper-thruster thing. The goal was to get the robot to move through a particular course to the end without falling off any edges. It got tricky very quickly, since you couldn't rewire the robot in the middle of the level.

  • I just downloaded robot odyssey and it runs too fast how do i slow it down?

  • Use DOSBox.

  • Awesome

Can't thank you enough for taking us on this trip down memory lane.

  • " It's a carnival of festive carrying objects." lol : )

  • Your voice is amazing. :O

  • Wow. That takes me back. I used to play this game in 4th/5th grade. Graphics look terrible compared to today's games, but I remember thinking it was great. I had a lot of fun with this game and probably actually LEARNED something from it, too.

  • Crap, you need the numeric keypad to take small steps!? Guess I can't play RO then... :/

  • If you're going to play it, you'll need to play the Apple II version anyway (since the DOS version suffers from a bad crack that makes soldering fail in the main game). The Apple II version uses I, J, K, and M for movement, which I find incredibly annoying (I'm used to just using the arrow keys), but I'm guessing you probably have those four letters on your keyboard. :)

  • The Apple II version? ... Yeah, I don't have that... :[

  • That's what droidquest dort com is for. =)

  • Oh, right. Now I guess I have to figure out how to use an Apple II emulator. *scared*

  • lateBlt!!!

I am looking for gertrude's puzzles

    gertrude's secrets

    grandma's house

    troll's tales and dragon's keep!

as well as the incredible laboratory - and ideas? i've checked all over -

  • Gertrude's Secrets shouldn't be too hard to find on some Apple II archive. The C64 version of Dragon's Keep is on GB64. No idea about the rest.

  • thanks! i'll check them more thoroughly this time

  • I haven't found Gertrude's Secrets *or* Gertrude's Puzzles. Granted, Asimov's really the only place I'm looking.

  • (Recap: I've found both.)
