  • Takes me back to my youth , i must have worn out the single played it that much .

    brilliant

  • Dude! Thanks for posting this! Ibought (then lost) the cassette-single when it came out, and never forgot this fantastically hysterical song (I loved how it showed Def Leppard's sense of humor...) I can now share it with my teen age boys :)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha genius - wonder if Engelbert has ever done ever b-side pub version of "Rocket". Did they perform this on the Hysteria Tour?

  • I love this song, the last time I heard it was in the early 90's. We played it so much that they took it out of the jukebox.

  • had my music player on shuffle, and had no idea who this was at first

  • Can you imagine the smile on the lads in the band? LMAO! This was their buddy singing, not Joe Elliot.

  • Incredible.... Can't stop laughing.... Thanks for sharing this!!!

  • LOVE IT!!!! 2:46!!!!!!!

  • I heard this back in the mid '70's, laughed till I had tears running down my face, forgot about it for awhile, then just lately thought about it,and found it on youtube! Still funnier than Shit!!!

  • I love this song to this day. Back in the UK this was a b side on Rocket. I actually had the 7" but swapped it with my mate for something. Wish I still had it.

  • This song is just too hilarious!!

  • luv when he burps at the end and says excuse me. hilarious...

  • this is definitely not joe elliott's voice...

  • @defAlixxRockIt61348 No, it's not Joe. It's their tour manager (then Steve's guitar tech) Malvin Mortimer, aka Stumpus Maximus. Joe is playing piano though... when he can stop laughing long enough that is. ;)

  • @greyseagirl haha really?? that's funny xD i knew it wasn't joe but i wouldn't have though it was mal! hahaha

  • love this version i wish someone else would redo it now maybe green day or weezer

  • @jcolossale21 used to play this all the time at local pizza joint on jukebox as we drank underage and ate pizza oh those high school years

  • Just can't get enough of this! Still makes me laugh.

  • This song brings back memories...I remember going to the local Pizza Hut when I was in grade school and dropping almost an allowance worth of quarters into the jukebox so I could play this song over and over.....why? because this lady that worked there hated the song and talked shit to me for calling her daughter on a school night....LOL....This is a sad and pathetic story I realize, but it seemed logical at the time..

  • @cultofkrug I'll give you a thumbs up for teen logic. XD

  • i cant tell you how many times i listened to this song when i had the single ... to this day still makes me laugh like crazy

  • joe's greatest vocal.

  • @pitbulls4life11 strange to be his best vocal when he doesnt sing ittt

  • @christianalexlea you MAY be corect. so..........what does that tell ya????

  • In fact I'd like to play this in front of Simon Cowells mob :o)

  • First heard this on the demo CD, been looking for it since. Great fun!

  • I love this band but this is the worst remake ever lol.

  • I've heard Melvin was in fact the roadie. Heard this song some 22/23 years ago for the first time.

  • this is Malvin def leppards tour manager singing I believe with the band it was released in the UK as well

  • haha love it! :0)

  • this is so not def leppard so therefore i dont like it

  • @cheesenoodle65 Clearly, you need to read the description. The guitars are recognizably Phil and Steve. And I do seem to recall this indeed being the B-side.

  • being from glasgow wish he'd come n teach a few of the local how to sing

  • lmao this is awesome

  • I think I need this....

  • class and funny as fuck! i used to grab the mike and mime this at my local!!!!

  • OMG! As a DJ, I played this in my bar during a contest for people to guess who it was!! Can't listen without laughing so hard I get choking! It gets worse as the song goes on!! LOLOL Love when he burps!! FUNNY!

  • I always loved this version. Somewhere I have the 45 rpm picture disc of this. Great song.

  • i fall from chair every time i listen to it!!! It's so funny!!!!

  • I'd forgotten how funny this is. Just when you think he can't get any higher......... Great to hear it again. Thanks for posting.

  • OMG!!!!! This is soooo funny and stupid at the same time!!!!!!! Esecially when he burps at 5:52 then says "scuze me" I would HATE to be the recorders enless i was drunk or had already fainted!!!!!!!!!!!! Put this on facebook!!!!!!!!!! i did and i got lots of comments!!!!!!!!

  • @KizzMehButtox Apparently Joe is the one playing piano, but they were all laughing so hard that @ 1:04 you can hear Joe muck it up. If memory serves, they tell the story on the back of the 45 cover.

I just remember my cousin having to pull the car over on the side of the road because we were laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes and she couldn't see to drive.

Ahhhh thanks Stumpus & crew! :)

  • This just made my day =) haha

  • Gordon Brown GO!

  • hheheheh the best drunk song ever released !! my mum is disgusted in me hehehehhehe

  • Love the 02:52 burp, and "scuze me!" and right back into it!

  • like listening to someone drunk in a kareoke bar lol

  • Probably the funniest thing I've ever heard. I would have died laughing if i was there when the recorded it.

  • LMAO!

I love you so so so much. I've lost my copy of this and I actually CRY if I think about it too hard....

    \m/

  • I remember my former high school having a jukebox with Def Leppard in it...and I always played this B-sider and drove everybody in the lunchroom nuts! Can't get enough of that burp towards the screaming end. Was nothing more than a cover of a classic taken as a joke...evidently I was the only one that enjoyed it.

  • Man, The boys are kickin' out the Jams! I Love to hear them do September Song! LOL I love this!

  • Thanks a ton Robcuf for posting this..I have been trying for a really long time to get this song ever since I started listening to songs on Youtube. On a lighter note it is good that Mortimer was just a part time vocallist with the Leps..;-)...Also the best part is the loud "burp..'xcuse me''..LOL

  • A song has never sounded this nice before!!!

  • Haven´t heard this one for like ages but it´s great fun hearing it beacuse booth song and piano are so totally ouf of rhythm and tune!

    Thanks for positng it.

  • I was crying because i was laughing so hard when my sister played this song for me the first time

  • ty, been searching for this forever, awesome version, ty for posting :)

  • This was one of the best sellers in the jukebox of my bar 20 tears ago. The only thing missing is the hacking and coughing at the end.

  • omg i love this sooo great !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, excellent. I have this one the b side of one of their singles

  • I drove my family nuts playing this B side LOL.....THANK YOU for putting it up. F'in hilarious.....
