wow, how awesome. can you post a follow up vid of an oil change? or maybe even one where you check the tire pressure. ever consider driving the fucking thing douchebag?
@justforever96: this is an older subie than the 2.2L or 2.5...see the air cleaner, that's the tipoff. It has carbs, therefore this is a mid to late 80's 1.8L SOHC.. I wish whoever posted this would clear this up. Nice homemade jobbie though :D
Only the 2.5L engines are DOHC. I think this is a 2.2L, with SOHC. A better engine, I think. Legendary reliability, etc. with a bit less power. I may be wrong, and this may be a 2.5L, but I don't think so. It would be more difficult, but it would be cooler to run the engine in the rear. But I suppose you'de have to ditch the AWD then, and that wouldn't be cool. In any case, cool ride.
I disagree, I got a 06 wrx sl with prodrive upgrade and its much better in the winter than the summer. Turbo loves the cold air thats why they got cold water sprayer. Not as quick in the summer and its evident. Nice machine bet its fun!
what running cold means is, when you start it up first and the engin hasnt had a chance to warm up. no car is as good cold, but some really arent good. all cars are faster when the air is cold. thats what intercoolers do, and why people put induction pipes in the wheel arch/bumper, and heat shields on induction kits
Yea, no engine runs good cold, nor should it be off idle when cold.
Yup, with heat shields below the TB/carb/ induction system, you can make a better running engine, as with ram-air systems like the ones found on Oldsmobile "W" Machines and many other muscle cars of the 60's / 70's.
Wow quite incredible. They took parts, some factory, some aftermarket, slapped them on a frame and made a john deer turbo hopper. People have been doing this for years, its called dirt track racing and they do a hell of a lot better job than this.

the engine that far in front of the axle..wont it make it understeer like hell? (like Audis?)
eppik 1 year ago
@eppik The drive shafts on the front come off the sides of the Tranny, there is no way to move the motor back on a subaru engine like that.

thats why they are called finnished lol they showed us they are finnished for tha day lol

you would get better balance if you put the engine behind the front wheels or behind the driver instead of hanging over the front.
looks like a fun project anyway

So why bother putting a video of a car on the web if all you show is some dude pouring gas into it? Not very exciting stuff.
