"Psychopharmacology" is a creation of pharmaceutical companies. Pills never were the answer for emotional problems. There will come a day we think of licensed pill pushers known as "psychiatrists" in the same way we do those who sell street drugs now or those that sold acid in the 60's.
to comment on how serotonin had been thought to be good for everything: I think cannabinoids (none specifically) are the most important class of neuro-chemicals known to be in the mammalian brain.
It really is a shame that one of prohibition's victims is Cannabis. I mean, if we're gonna look for a miracle medicine, you'd think we take a look into a plant that has been in use in medicine all over the world for the past 10,000 or so years!
