Don't forget 'dudes'. The Toyota in nearly all similar configurations when compared to competitive trucks, has the lowest payload capacity. Also, this course might not be 100% fair as each truck has a different wheelbase, and last I checked, the washboard road here cannot be changed to reflect the same number of 'bumps' between each axle for each truck.
Off road, the GM will take the cake and would be my pick overall as it offers the best ride quality, or it did when I test drove them all.

I felt that this was a reasonable test. I think that Mike Rowe was full of it to say that the Ford definitely won, because to me, it looks like the Ford, the Dodge, and the Chevy all did reasonably well. This is coming from a Dodge fan just btw. I feel this test was much more concrete than the ones GM did (in which they left out Dodge half the time, and didn't really give numbers). But on a side note, I don't think anyone expected the Toyota to fail THAT hard. Damn.
it looked like the chevy actualy handled that better than the ford. the fords tires were comming off the ground more and the body and doors shook more.
to tell you the truth im a dodge fan but that ford looks like it is moving around a hell of a lot more then that dodge is these tests are practicaly riged they go build a ford for this type of stuff then they go buy low package other truck and there not built for that the higher package ones are dumbass and the lower package ones are built to just drive down the road...

The old leaf springs were better for carrying a lot of weight in the bed.You could add a leaf and adjust it for the amount to keep the bumper from dragging on the ground since they would install soft springs from the factory to give it a car like ride.So now they put coil springs in to give even more of a car handling when no weight is in the bed but how do you adjust a coil spring for the amount of weight you are carrying as a truck?.

Let's put older Ford trucks on this test strip, like any F-series from the late '60s to the early 2000s. Yeah, okay, the newer F150s have a strong frame but that's like a former crack addict dropping in on an A.A. meeting complaining about the coffee.

For those of you who say Ford sucks, although you're allowed your own opinion, your opinions suck. Every few years I by a new truck to replace the oldest in my fleet which date back some twenty-five years and they're all fords, but anyways I do my own comparisons and Ford always comes out ahead. I felt that this was a reasonable test. I think that Mike Rowe was full of it to say that the Ford definitely won, because to me, it looks like the Ford, the Dodge, and the Chevy all did reasonably well. This is coming from a Dodge fan just btw. I feel this test was much more concrete than the ones GM did (in which they left out Dodge half the time, and didn't really give numbers). But on a side note, I don't think anyone expected the Toyota to fail THAT hard. Damn.

The old leaf springs were better for carrying a lot of weight in the bed.You could add a leaf and adjust it for the amount to keep the bumper from dragging on the ground since they would install soft springs from the factory to give it a car like ride.So now they put coil springs in to give even more of a car handling when no weight is in the bed but how do you adjust a coil spring for the amount of weight you are carrying as a truck?.
