Jason worked at a local record store in Providence, In Your Ear, and he was always so nice. He was quite nice to talk to and easy on the eyes as well. I use to see them play in Worcester at a place called Ralph's Diner (eat at Ralph's and live forever.). An amazing place to see rocka/psychobilly acts.
@MegaP1972 I had filmed them again at a show with the Cramps at The abyss in Va Beach. Unfortunately they were on the same tape with footage of the Cramps that I had shot. I had label permission to film the show but midway through filming an over tweaked Cramp's road manager came up with security and made me give up my tape even though I had a film pass.I wish I still had that Crown footage they were great that night.
I miss this band. That first album truly was amazing, though I think they lost a little flavor after The Colonel and Super8 left the band. It's too bad that the toolbags in the crowd don't know how to handle them and resort to ridiculous looking skanking.
I got dragged to see these guys at Seacoast Brewery in Portland, Maine, in the fall of 1998. It turned out to be one of the best shows, if not the best, I've ever been to!
The crowns almost stole the show from the Rev shit, burlington never recovered from that night. And yea all you fuckers in the back listen up. Ah ah aha aha aha aha aha
These guys are more lively than the Rev ever will be. I videotaped the Crowns at the Abyss in Va Beach and then the overtweaked manager for the Cramps assaulted me even though they had given me permission and the label had said I could tape the Cramps. I never did get the tape back I could have cared less about the Cramps but The ARC was great that night and I wish I had that video.
I saw these guys live at the Warped tour in '99 in Denver (dear god I'm getting old) - absolutely one of the best live acts I've ever seen - I didn't realize that I was a closet rockabilly fan...
I taped a whole set with these guys but the manager for The Cramps grabbed my tape and took it away even though I had permission to tape from the label.

Saw them a couple of times in New Orleans while I was in college there circa 1998. Best show was them, Pilfers and Pietasters. The show rocked!

I love these guys. I saw them twice in the 90's. They are very energetic, more so than the Rev. and that's saying a bit.
