i remember beating ridley on the original metroid prime for the gamecube, although I was using the wii as it is backwards compatable. But I remember ridley being MUCH harder then in this video, like that charge attack when you burn up his wings could take away at least an energy tank. Have you got it set to easy?

@multicaal2 well, also, it doesn't really matter what difficulty you are on in the Metroid Prime for the Gamecube, it was much harder because you had to lock on to Ridley after you found him, and if he hit you with, say, a charge attack or tail swipe, your "stun" time was longer then in the Wii version.

Kinda. It depends on the difficulty you're playing on.

Ridley should not be too challenging, if it's your first time then you'll have a throwawayfight. The second time you'll get him. Just remember that when He flies out, Boost Ball around the arena until he drops bombs the second time. Other than that, most of his attacks are very easy to dodge, and you shouldn't have problems.

Wii version has minor graphic quality improvements, Metroid Prime 3's wii aiming system is built in, and, if I'm not wrong, it comes together with MP2 with the same improvements, and MP3 with graphical improvements too.

And as I've recently been telling people (like you) that freak out about it, just moderate how much you play, and if CTS is "caught" early, get a splint for your hand immediately, and wear that for a few months, and lay off the games for a while. I wore mine on and off, it became hard to do things in it, but here I am down the road possibly needing surgery, and/limiting my job opportunities and hobbies. So please, google CTS, and take care of yourself. This is for any and everyone who read this.

Nope, that attack is not in the US version. It was in the Japanese and PAL versions though.

Wow, isn't it stupid to have removed one of Meta-Ridley's attacks from the US version? I SINCERELY hope they rectify this mistake by adding it in the US wii version of Metroid Prime 1. Btw, other than the controls, was there really nothing new added to this game? If so, Nintendo really missed their chance of adding Kraid as a boss, since they removed him in the original GC Prime cause of time constraints. You seen the artwork?

They didn't remove that attack: It just wasn't there to begin with. NTSC (US) version was V1.0. PAL, JP, and Player's Choice NTSC was V1.2, which added a few minor things.

It isn't a remake, not even a partial one, they just made the GC pal version combatible with the wii, added the controls, and fixed some bugs, thw missile launcher exploit still exists... i don't know if the fixed the secret worlds, but remake means they started from 0.

Those were remakes yes, not only more content but different story, here in mp1 the wii version isn't really a remake, it only makes metroid prime 1 combatible with wii controls, no different story, no bonus content.... an example is metroid zero mission, thats a remake, the game with bonus content and ftw graphics compared it its predecessor, they started that one from 0

@JW514 it's not new actually. in one of the GC versions, he did that attack. there were like 2-3 different versions of this game on gamecube, one letting you get an early plasma beam.
