  • This is outstanding! I love it!

  • I just got a Electribe R mkII today I have a E-MU Proteus/1 and Proteus/2 that should get here in like a week or two do you think they'll go well with the Electribe?

For the hook ups do I just do midi out from electribe to midi in on Proteus and audio out on Proteus into Electribe?

  • this music is boring

  • @SuperPrema You're boring.

  • hi.. can you share the snare patch? thanks!

  • cud u tell me ur patch 4 the main arpeggiated sound pls

  • cooles ding, sehr schön

  • DAT GATE

  • this is some wonderful background music. i hope to have a setup like this someday.

  • ... lol, anyway... dumb phone keypad. Novation makes a compareable unit that's around the same price as the microKORG, but personally I prefer the fat bass of the microKORG sound better, and the vocoder is just... awesome. Absolutely worth it if you want a hardware synth that doubles as a decent midi controller for your software.

  • I just want to throw out here that I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on the electribe r. You'd be way better off spending a little more to pick up the newer Electribe ESX, which is definitely worth it. The microkorg XL and the regular microkorg are also very impressive synths for someone on a budget. Novation makes a compareable unit that's a

  • very very inspiring. I really like your video. You really bring out what these instruments can do. if possible, please check out my video link above. i would love to hear your feedback for i would like to create more music in this catagory.

  • Oh my God the second I started this up I was already boogyin' in my seat, DAAAAAAAGGGG!!!!

  • Nice... d(^_^)b

  • HI! Can the microKORG xl record audio to make loops or something? And can I import audio files from my computer using a USB-MIDI cable, and into the microKORG xl and play it? thanks.

  • @version147 nope. it's a synth and generates its own sounds. you're looking for the microsampler

  • Whats making this arpeggiator alike pattern of a synh sound reacting on your keys, is it the micro or electribe ? is the arp programable , like i can generate my own patterns ?

  • Whats making this arpeggiator alike pattern of a synh sound reacting on your keys, is it the micro or electribe ?

  • @3steps2u I'd stay away from commenting on videos such as these in the future. I am sure he has a job, making music like this is not super time consuming (especially if you are experienced). The gear he has is not expensive in this video, so I am not sure what you are talking about. haha, yea I quit my job so I could sequence tracks on my electribe!

  • You can find both of these together on eBay or craigslist for around 200 or 300. That's for both. Each is worth around 100 or 150.

  • @Waveomancer 100,150? seriously are they that cheap!??? I saw the korg for a lot more....

  • There's a lot of people who are close minded about different types of music like this.

I play guitar, and i'm into hardcore/screamo music. Yet my Microkorg xl is one of my favourite things. Theres no certain type of music you can play on a synth, the possibilities are actually endless, you can create anything from simple looping tracks to sing over, or whole pieces that show emotion. It's not just techno. It's a whole world of crazy shit that comes out of one tiny powerful box.

  • Wau...

  • It souds like 80s and it sounds awesome

  • Sounds great!!!

  • its like nobuyoshi sano

  • I felt like I was underwater, very relaxing...

  • That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • E2E4!

  • are all those loops samples or made by the guy?

  • Nice work!

  • macbook,iphone, korg....

    you has my dream

i just wondering why aren't i'm so rich

  • This vid = sex

  • what can i use to record a bass line on a midi any suggestions?

  • This is beautiful.

  • used the same drum pattern for like the whole song D:

  • special effects make a simple sound interesting which software and hardware together make the thing easy

  • I enjoyed all five minutes and seven seconds of this piece of music. From one electronic musician to another, thank you for posting this. Very nice work.

  • I'd buy your album dude.

  • pretty cool stuff! hey do you know if the microkorg xl can be used as a midi keyboard to use with the computer also?

  • Amazing! Great job!!

  • its not expensive if ur a little rich bitch

  • quick question : does the electribe perfectly sync with the microkorg as far as the arpeggiation and tempo is concerned?

  • very nice bass

  • Hey, can somebody help me? If I wanted to sync two electribes together, what would I need to do that, and how would I do it?

  • @squab2468 Have skill.

set them at a matching tempo.

Press play at the same time ;D

  • @squab2468 I haven't done it but my assumption is the midi cables might be able to link the press play signal. I hope you haven't had to wait all month for my half-assed uninformed response.

  • @squab2468 All you need is a midi cable connecting the midi out of one electribe set to be midi clock master and connected to the midi in of the second electribe set to midi clock slave.

    Luck,

  • Wish you and I could play some show together man!! TAG TEAM IT UP YO!!!

  • cool

  • Don't you love it when two synth's get along so well ?! Beautiful ! ! !

  • This dude has MONEY!

  • @brainiacbelle But he has Jackie Chan's nose. I saw it in one of the vids.

  • @brainiacbelle Lol.. this aint even expensive..

  • @pomfrit93 yeah not compared to the workstations that cost 2 grand, but still pricey for a lot of people.

  • @brainiacbelle

yeah, but he uses the cheapest audio-cables...

  • @brainiacbelle are these really that expensive?

  • @newtonlkh he's refering to all of the electronics this guy has. xD

  • @brainiacbelle Actually you can find all that gear used for about 350€. It's no more money many people would spend on a phone or an iPad.

  • @vckeys look at his entirely library of instruments though, and assume that he bought them new

  • @brainiacbelle

no_this dude had talent and brain to collect all these stuff

  • wow my jaw wont be the same haha awesome work

  • Such wonderful sounds.

  • BEAUTIFUL SOUND.. OLDSCHOOL!!!! VERY NICE!!!!

  • i could dance to this during every single morning and noon of my life

  • i went to beatport and purchased some of denkitribe's work that was available...are there more productions available elsewhere???

  • 27 people were deaf and didn't understand the video...

  • That was awesome man!

  • very nice! go to the play live shows!

  • you have this a midi file ?

or do you have this to work with it in cubase or another sequencer ?

maybe we can create something ?! ;)

  • very nice.i love this kind of music ;)

  • thank god i could watch that in 720p.

  • Really lovely~ I'm so impressed. :)

  • @freedomfilms2009 You did call this guys music a piece of rubbish though. Don't you think thats a little uncalled for? Of course you're entitled to your're opinion, but that dosn't mean you should go ahead and insult his work. And a quick glance at the likes/dislikes shows how you represent the minority opinion here, so i'm gonna go ahead and call trolling.

  • @freedomfilms2009 do not assume an electronic instrument can only create 1 type of music and cannot evoke emotion. skill and talent is needed to shape the sound to create a sense of drama. many tears have been shed to beautiful music made by instruments like these. anyone can write a pop song on a keyboard, but a true artist can manipulate the sounds to create something no one has ever heard before. it takes real understanding of the music to differentiate. so please. back off.

  • @BCLikesVideos

True that, not to mention there are usually over a hundred sounds included with these synths that can be manipulated dozens of ways... just knowing the instrument takes time and practice and is a talent of itself.

  • @BCLikesVideos I like this i get into so many fights with guitarists and stuff over this. i am into synthesis and sound programming. check out my page :D i just bought an MC303 and i have a microkorg so i may do somestuff later with this

  • @BCLikesVideos very well put.

  • @BCLikesVideos you're dumb. it takes skilll to play these dude. like you think you don't need to have musical expierience to play these things. you are fucking dumb as shit.

  • @maffyu30 That is what he is saying, you dumb fuck.

  • @maffyu30 Did you not read the comment or something?

  • @BCLikesVideos

    PERFECTLY SAID.

  • if this track was recorded i would mix it in one of my podcasts no joke. great work

  • Nice use of the ER. Nice end.

PS - not impressed with the foul language by some here - but it seems like 96 people are - this is the civilised world isn't it . . .

  • Unbelievable

  • @iluvmorrissey I ABSOLUTELY AGREE

  • I really want an Electribe!

  • nice juice man! :) like it

  • Sounds great.

    :)

  • this beat is the shit men nice

  • What's the best way or the most right, too start learning and creating electronic music?

  • Denkitribe-san...I just...love your sounds! :o

  • nice

  • Amazing :)

  • @arkrial~ Your opinion has no value, only your music...& I haven't heard any of your work. If you can do better, then PLEASE show us. Talk is dirt cheap.

  • @937emotion Back atcha jackass.

  • @937emotion And so are cliches. Got anything better?

  • Comment removed

  • you must have ambition to make such a composure

  • Sounds good to me. I bought my microkorg to use as a midi controller as it has the added plus of being a gutsy little stand alone synth but i will definately be using the sounds to play around with. cool video man

  • VERY nice!

  • So your keyboard is hooked up in the AUDIO IN?? and from there what setting do you have to set the Mk-2 on to create the gate effect?

    ~L~

  • i sold my XL :P needed cash and i would rather learn more 2 handed music. like kyle landrys shit.

  • man i was actually looking for a live setup for my one my band project. you inspired me thank you. :)

  • Creating synth music is way to complex for, I would have no idea where to begin with it. So I let other people do it for me

  • dude all your stuff is amazing

  • freggin sweet job!! i like this alot, and i want to make music similar to this. i use an alesis micron, an akai xr20. i will be getting an Electribe r mkII, as well as a KP3 very soon! i cant wait!

  • This is pretty good, but isn't it mainly just based around the arpegiatior?

  • ha i have a ghetto version of this setup. an old 80's yamaha rx 15 and my macbook run my drums and samples, then i use my microKORG (wood siding!) and a toy keyboard run through my guitar pedals

  • @griffinmpable that's cool, I've got a casio wk-200 controlling garageband, an old casio pt-1 run through pedals, and I'm getting a kaoss soon

  • @Hobbyist56 omg i want a kaoss so badly! the pawn shop down the street has a few but i just quit my job! damn it all......oh well. have fun. how do you like that wk-200? i was thinking about getting that for garageband actually, but opted for some guitar gear

  • mad skillz!

  • Damn this is sick good job

  • nice job

  • That sounds really cool. Is the Electribe R just for the drum sounds? and what setting is that synth sound on.

  • Genuinely sounds good dude!

  • Nice music!

  • If I was to buy a Korg XL and an Electribe, would I need anything else?

    speakers, cables etc.

I'm a bit of a noob with all this.

    xD

  • @Debaserxx, you will need a good pair of amplified speakers. Later you will want a interface with the computer (a sound and midi iterface that allows you to mix), and maybe a desk. You need the desk if you plan to do things withour interface. And, of course, midi and sound cables. It is much easier to work with the interface, wich is like the hub of all the system, so I would go that way: machines-interface-computer

  • Awesome!

  • I can't put my finger on it, I have no idea why I love listening to this. Any idea how I would copy the gate effect using a Mac & Logic?

  • @Blahdabbadoo you'd probs need an external program. You can record it as the pad without the gate, and then chop up the sample in logic using the sample editor.

  • ke skifo!

  • gate effect// can i use my electribe er-1 for looping microkorg sounds?

  • I dont know if i should buy the microKORG or the microKorg XL both are very good in many ways...

  • @bdtmembernick the original MK looks way cooler but i got an XL a few weeks ago based on reading reviews that it was slightly better, i havent used the original MK but im very happy with the XL , and you can download patches with the original sounds for it anyway. I just wish it had that retro chic look the original had.

  • @badboyrhythmdub Retro style; to have that Kraftwerk look I presume? :)

  • @bdtmembernick Yes but if you want to look like Kraftwerk "today" just a laptop and a tron style jumpsuit will do.

  • @badboyrhythmdub and the light up ties. dont forget those.

  • @bdtmembernick Haha. I seen them live a few years ago. One of the best gigs i ever been to. Not bad for 4 bloke not doing much.

  • @badboyrhythmdub If only i was able to see them live you are lucky got to see the creators of such an exuisite genre....gotta love electronic music. am I right?

  • @bdtmembernick Amen to that!

  • @badboyrhythmdub Well looking at the XL I can't help but feel this thing is from the 80's, its all black with metal overlay and black plastic knobs, all very retro feel to me. I had no idea this was the latest version, but the retro look and simple knob selection is a plus for me. I'm bidding for one atm, aim to spend £250-£275 2nd hand.

  • @Blahdabbadoo Yeah I guess it does still look quite retro, and it is alot more neatly layed out with only a few knobs compaired to the MK . But i kinda liked the fact the original had that kinda Moog look about it with the wood finish and all. Ether one is a great buy tho. Goodluck on the bidding.

  • einfach nur hammer geiler sound. da bekomm ich gänsehaut

  • Excellent!

  • really nice music. i love this

  • How much better would it be to buy an XL as compared to a regular microkorg? And what im looking for is a synth to produce alot of trance sounds. Also the consideration that id be playing live and need to quickly switch programs. Anybody have suggestions?

  • cool

  • nice sound phat icro korg synth thinking of bying one;)

  • Will this connect to a computer via USB to record into a program such as Cubase or FL Studio? Will it support VST samples such as EWQL?

  • @jazzmatik

Not really. I'm like, %80 positive that it has MIDI in/out...so you COULD use it to control sounds on your computer. FL/Cubase use Virtual instruments....these are REAL instruments :D

  • @poporowyo

Both have MIDI, but Only the XL has USB, which is basicially just an improved MIDI option. Good Luck :D

If you think of yourself as a vintage fan, get the original. If you don't mind plastic and modern design, get this one!

  • Is that a stock drumloop?

  • sometimes 2 chords is all it takes to make great techno.

not saying its the usual case, but it happens.

  • Same with other styles too. There are traditions of blues that involve improvising over one chord.

  • how do u recrod??

  • how do u get samples into electribe?

  • If its the ES or ESX then its via Smart Media.

  • so harsh when people talk about daws as if they're talking about a football team or some shit, chill out

  • loving the vibe mate 5*

  • not bad, too: microkorgXL and mini kaosspad

  • malasoo...!

  • Awesome, we need an album from you with dance music bro, I need cd or vinyl so I can dj it, holla!

  • Since when has popular opinion been a good way to judge music? All kinds of untalented sacks of shit win grammys and go platinum..."but that's got notin ta do wit luck. 'Just means a million people are stupid as fuck.

  • I Totally Agree With You!! But There Are A Few Out There That Are Actually Talented And Going Platinum. =]]

  • @arkrial AGREED.

  • @arkrial well... pink floyd 40 years ago would fill any stadium in the world... so is not about audience being stupier.. is about lazinnes and a prostitued industry that just wants to get money as if it was any other kind of business

  • @mynmyself But in that same breath, if all a company has to do is aim a marketing campaign anywhere they deem fit to get more money, that only proves that stupid fucks will show up like herded cattle. There were plenty of great musicians that got popular and filled stadiums but they will only be a statistic on a chart while hacks recycle their ideas and call it "inspiration."

  • @arkrial immortal technique. good man.

  • @TylerANDBABE Hell yeah!

  • @arkrial lol thats what i was thinking 2....millions of people are mindless souls :)....and will never be diffirent

  • @arkrial Damn you said it,and really TELLING THE TRUTH!! you see how many of us agree with you!!! thanks .......................fere

  • @godfere Thanks, man.

  • @arkrial i love you

  • @spirogrinder2 Hahaha, thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • @arkrial although i agree with you completely in what you say, (it was said very well in my oppinion!) i encourage you or anyone watching this to go buy that issue of the electribe series, if they're curious enough, and press play on "A.01". these machines always come with presets, and hearing this flooded my mind with nostalgia as i used to purchase every make.

  • @arkrial Yeah and you are so smart because you like music only a few people like...

Everyone has the right to their own opinion, that you think someones stupid because they listen to a certain (popular) music really says more about you then we need to know.

  • @hanse81 See, if you actually were paying attention to what I was saying, you wouldn't look like a jackass. I made that comment because someone was being a dick about what other people liked. I'm defending the right to have your own opinion. My point is who gives a shit about what's popular? It doesn't make it anymore valid just because it hit a number on a chart somewhere. And if you thought I was calling you stupid, instead failing to insult me, try proving me wrong. Try knowing the issue.

  • @arkrial New generation

  • Again, astounding use of this equipment. Sound is great, reminiscent of CJ Bolland and the Analogue Theatre....

  • Nice ambient techno. Didnt like the pitch shift at 2.35. Great sound and nice gating.

  • i can assure you that my micro korg has one of the best, freshest synth sounds i've ever heard OMG!!!! plus it has a vocoder and you can do 10 instruments of one, thanks to its 2 oscilators and 4 patch "points" and way more effects like a delay, filter, appregiator...WOW!!! and the best thing about it is the price. Avarage price is 400 EU.but dont underestimate VSTS from NativeInstruments, East West, SPECTRASONICS' Trilogy, Atmosphere +OMNISPHERE!! always listen to your heart, ahh i mean ears ;)

  • this guy is just messin and playin around. and everybody comments about it bad can just leave this page and listen to something else. it is not my kind of music too, but i can say u cant measure the value of music by its complexity or simplicity. Lbunard you wanna be pro, what would you recommend, Dave Smith, Minimoog, Korg Oasys, Korg M3 or even a Virus? besides that polyphony has nothing to do with the quality of sound YOU DICK! it just says how many notes you can play at one.
