Ok, I am going to attempt to summarize this deep song. First off the story is based off a grim tale were a boy plucks a rose(which can be interpreted as a woman's virginity) by force which in some sense means he raped her. This song lyrics simply breaks down to a small village where the custom is girls basically have the power. Now this girl tells a boy(most likely some form of a lover) to walk up a dangerous cliff to pick a rose, he eventually falls and dies and she don't give a shit, next page

Then one of the men fall in love with a young woman(I think a virgin) Well they suprise you by making you think a rape is coming and she tells him they can fall in love if he kills her parents, Why the entire time monks whip themselves for ritual punishment in order to please the gods. following up

I think the song is about how people take things for granted and don't appreciate what others do for them. A little girl sees a rose, and asks a boy to fetch it for her. She doesn't think of the risks and dangers the boy has to endure, all she cares about is the rose. "Deep wells must be dug, if you want clear water" means that you have to work for the things you want, you can't just have them handed to you. The boy risks his life and dies, and all she did was take advantage of him.
