in love with this song thanks to justin townes earle. love this version too. as a country blues guitarist how i would love to play with an authentic deep blues harp player like you. and how lucky you are to have a chick so into the music as well!
OMG I haven't heard that song in about 40 years! I had it on a budget country record album I got because of the funny farm animal pic on the jacket! Who recorded that?
@BelovedRogue I'm not sure of the album you described but I first heard it on a Holy Modal Rounders LP that from what I remember had a bunch of bottlecaps on the cover.
wo! really enjoyed this video. i got me an old cat too. he actually owns the house-ijust pay the bills! he's always up in my lap when i'm trying to do something!
Wow -- you two are so fun to watch. We just found an old record called Smokey Mountain Ballads with the Arthur Smith Trio version. Very cool song -- and you two do it justice. Our family has a little bluegrass band in Idaho -- you have inspired us to learn this one. Keep it up!
Thanks for the great comments!!! I would like to hear the Arthur Smith version. I have a Holy Modal Rounders LP - that's where I first heard it. All the best!

The "Bear" cat is so cute, licking it's paw in time to the music. You did a great job on this tune. (Tinker John)
