that is pretty good -for 60 you should add a couple 100 more watts in t5s and really bulk up your harvest with a small increase-I think its like 212 watts putts out around 40000 lumens- each 54watt 4ft bulb is approx 5500 lumens at the start of its life and they last with good care -easily a year and a 1\2 if not 2.5 or 3. At the start of 2 yrs I Would replace them-Peace.

Of course heat signatures will get you busted, but what happens when there is no heat signature (i.e outdoor growing)? The only way to find buds is to "shine a light" down on the canopy of trees, flowers and whichever emits the glowing back from THC glands, will show that most likely, that is a gorilla marijuana garden. If i was the grower. I would veg out a few clones under some screen for a Scrog( if you don't know, look it up). Leveling out the buds so they are all even with one another helps you focus the light on all of them at the same intensity.I would be willing to bet that you can take the set up you have and really be a lot happier with your results. For 62 watts, its pretty damn good. Do a little research and you'll fall in love with what you have. Good Luck.

All you people talking about yeild - look at his plants, they are sativa - typically a low yeilding variety. I have a papaya under an hps, which is almost done, and one I just put under a led/warm white fluorescant combo, and at the two week mark, the rate of growth isn't very different at all. If I have to flower an extra week or two to save hundreds of dollars a year and reduce my fire hazard ten fold - so be it. Also, those pesky po po's and their FLIR are none the wiser. Know it alls...
My plants look like these at the end of week 2 under a 250 watt MH that i had gotten at the start of flowering and a week ago i added a 150 watt HPS.They are already throwing out quite a bit of resin:)

I in no means want to sound like an ass but you would get much better results with using CFL's as apposed to LED's. i been using CFL's for about a year now. I get them from my local hardware store about 65 watts puts
about 200 watts worth of light. Usually i get about an 1.5OZ per plant

also never go 24/7 it doesnt show benefit over 18/6 and all the sugaring takes place when photosynthisis does not, so turn off the light at night for 6hrs

I get great results using FluoreX fluorescent lights. 5 - 65 watt = 34,125 lumens @ 6500k color. Cost is higher than LEDs but better production and less energy cost than HSP @ lower heat.

lower power consumption in space less draw on the solar panels and batteries. and i dont think they are trying to grow large plants. they are mainly growing small clones and small plants. so in this it would be ok. but after a foot of growth there would be very lil light getting to the lower area hints the drastic pruning this grower did that only looks to be starving the plant.
there should be way more nugs om this plant at 11 week into flowering. LED's are only cheaper on a power bill the lights themselves can cost way more than a HPS. my entire HPS setup, lightbulb, ballast, and hood were 375$ and a LED can go for 1000 bucks!!!!

@naesnavillus Nah I don't think so. I've seen how they raid on grows. They look for certain areas and shine a light down onto the plants. A certain shine or glow will be reflected from the THC growing on the buds and that is how they find the plants. Not too sure about heat, but I think that plant would need to be radiating at atleast 80-90 degrees to show some sort of heat spot.

they are intended for use in a back up or supplemental form not to use full term...as you can see this guys plants are very stretched out and he has few large buds...if he was using hps or a digi ballast and switching for budding he would have much more dense growth and larger colas

Not nearly enough watts. If u used a 90 watt ufo (same as 400 watt hps) for 1 plant, you could get 1/2 pound easy and 3/4 or even a pound for one plant in optimal hydroponic/ nutes. You have too many plants and not even close to enough wattage for this grow, thats why u got hardley anything and skinny little twigs
look up the video below, look what he did with 105 watt led. Id say they work. I have a bunch of 300 watt led's and mine perform fine. But you have to watch out where you buy them. I have friends who spent thousands only to get some xmas lights lol. Mine put out a great spectrum. Led light is absorbed more by the plant than hids, dont get me wrong hids work, but the plant only uses 10-15% of hid light, it uses well over 50% of led light. Also try growing sideways, like a grapevine. the lower foliage and flowers will get the same light as the top ones. = more large flowers and less popcorn buds. Also try keeping roots a few degrees warmer (76-8F) than your canopy. (72-4F)

Ive never heard of 24/7 ... its just not required
save 6hrs of hydro and let your plants rest.

Also dont wait to see flowers to start it on 12/12.
12/12 sets it to flower. they sometimes preflower before that, but only sometimes. and you cant controll the height if you wait to preflower.
Generally plants double size in flower so if you want 2ft plants, start 12/12 when its 1 foot.
Sativa can almost triple in size, keep that in mind as well.

Fimming is actualy a whole different teqnique altogether, i dont mean to be a prude, but you should know that when trying to be a lil fuck.
FIMMING is taking the tops of the center AND 2 additional grow tips of a plant, pruning/topping is taking the center ONLY.

I use leds and am pretty happy. i only grow a couple plants at a time, but i like leds for my purpose. Cost efficient, and wtf is up with this guys plants shit. Mine look nothing like that. Its not all whats used to grow it but rather whos doing the growing. Experience experience!!!

from all the videos ive seen, your right. its sucks for quality and yeild. but people that dont have the money to set up full grow room. this is awesome & cheap to do. so you get shitty weed, its near litterally free from led lights vs. 1000 watt HPS and asst. shit youd need to have a "proper growroom"

lower power consumption in space less draw on the solar panels and batteries. and i dont think they are trying to grow large plants. they are mainly growing small clones and small plants. so in this it would be ok. but after a foot of growth there would be very lil light getting to the lower area hints the drastic pruning this grower did that only looks to be starving the plant.

Haha, true for this grow. But, this is only 60 watts of power. I saw a 600 watt LED and it yielded over 500 gs bro. Looks pretty sick, but mad money.

there should be way more nugs om this plant at 11 week into flowering. LED's are only cheaper on a power bill the lights themselves can cost way more than a HPS. my entire HPS setup, lightbulb, ballast, and hood were 375$ and a LED can go for 1000 bucks!!!!

I love it considering how cheap it is. HPS would cost 5x more in both ways. I dont know about you guys but i dont litrally have 1000 Plus to fund a Good HPS grow. So i would definantly go for this. I would have kept in for a week or two more thoe bro :/

thermal sensors are not enough to get a warrant .and for a helicopter to to detect a house he must be pumping out more than 3000 watts of electricity.and even that is not enough because 3000 watts of electricity is only 190 dollars a month. so dont tell me that hes growing 60 watts led to avoid detection.ROOKIE!!!

dude wtf does 3000 watts of electricity have to do with thermal cameras that scan the roof tops of houses if every house in the neighborhood has the around the same temperature roofs and then all of a sudden there is a Hot Spot then that gives them suspision. and where i live suspicious activity gives them the right to get a warrent if they catch someone with bud outside of ur home and can prove it came from there. all im sayin is its better safe than sorry.

ha ha whos the rookie now juanoguerra, please dont say you mean that the 3000 watts of electricity is what the flying helicopters notice. cops use infra red cameras which detect heat. Marijuana is a thermal plant meaning it gives off lots of heat, so to not get detected for sure is just grow an amount that doesnt take up a whole room because they know no one is that big of a fatass laying in bed. Electricity suspicions are just from your electricity bill!!

The plants don't give off the heat dumbass my plants aren't hot to the touch I touch them all the time the infra red sees the heat coming from the lights cuz light bulbs do get hot. @chevelle712k6 actually Marijuana does give off a slight heat singnature even when its growing outside... thats how alot of farms get caught because people will grow the weed plants close togrther and it radiates enough heat for helecopters to detect... here in the mid west they grow it under cedar trees since they put off a stronger heat singnature than weed.

@naesnavillus Nah I don't think so. I've seen how they raid on grows. They look for certain areas and shine a light down onto the plants. A certain shine or glow will be reflected from the THC growing on the buds and that is how they find the plants. Not too sure about heat, but I think that plant would need to be radiating at atleast 80-90 degrees to show some sort of heat spot.

actually they have busted outdoor operations because weed does perspire more than other plants, and runs hot. Making it easy to spot fields at night with infra red. But indoor, yes it is your extremely hot bright light that will give you away.

i,ve seen more bud on a plant grown under a 250 soduim ,,try using 250 watts of LED,s it might be a big board ,but if you keep the plants short {2 weeks veg max} i bet you get nice results.

Heres what I do, Metal Halide for growing/vegitating whatever, High Pressure Sodium for flowering, that simple.
The plants will grow like weeds ;)
And also be a very healthy green, unless you got one of them purplish ones

they are intended for use in a back up or supplemental form not to use full term...as you can see this guys plants are very stretched out and he has few large buds...if he was using hps or a digi ballast and switching for budding he would have much more dense growth and larger colas

If you a bilge pump, you won't need a converter as they are meant to run on 12V.

looks like some pretty alright buds to me... but id prefer using HPS, but LED is more for people who dont have alot of space, and doesnt need extra heat, theyre also cheaper in a long run, these lights are good for someone who just wants to plant a seed, grow it, then smoke it,,, not so sell or mass produce,, id keep these buds for myself, smoke them, then take a clone from a mommy plant, then continue the cycle... easy with LEDs, but yield is inferior to HPS

Not nearly enough watts. If u used a 90 watt ufo (same as 400 watt hps) for 1 plant, you could get 1/2 pound easy and 3/4 or even a pound for one plant in optimal hydroponic/ nutes. You have too many plants and not even close to enough wattage for this grow, thats why u got hardley anything and skinny little twigs

look up the video below, look what he did with 105 watt led. Id say they work. I have a bunch of 300 watt led's and mine perform fine. But you have to watch out where you buy them. I have friends who spent thousands only to get some xmas lights lol. Mine put out a great spectrum. Led light is absorbed more by the plant than hids, dont get me wrong hids work, but the plant only uses 10-15% of hid light, it uses well over 50% of led light. But hey its all preference, whatever works for u, peace

on a practical note : Yes, More lumens needed here. see how strung out the main leaf and flower placement is?
Also try growing sideways, like a grapevine. the lower foliage and flowers will get the same light as the top ones. = more large flowers and less popcorn buds. Also try keeping roots a few degrees warmer (76-8F) than your canopy. (72-4F)

Might as well use fluorescent lighting, LED's are absolutely a RIP OFF. You could have several growrooms illuminated with tons of fluorescent bulbs for the cost of one stupid LED.
NEWS FLASH- LED's are not grow lights, they are bright, but they don't produce enough quality light for the outrageous prices they currently are sold for.

Power wise they use much less power than CFL. You can use cool stuff like cheap solar to keep a battery ararry charged for LED's and stop paying the power company for growing.
