The group has it right. Commenting from people all over the world is a great reinforcement. As a constant commenter, I find I enjoy leaving comments but know how it can feel when someone takes the time to leave comments for me. An example, looked at a video clip I posted only five days back. Over 5700 views yet only two comments, one of them from a good friend. 8 thumbs up. At least I know many have seen it. :)
