That was at Happy Hollow, how is the guy panic shifting? If its geared for racing the gears will be short. Why wouldn't he be giving it all? If you've never raced one how can you talk about what should happen? A 250ex and a yfz are nothing alike.
i dont think the rzr was givin it all he had cuz as an xp owner i have beat a 250 ex and a raptor and i believe both were stock, but idk about a yfz 450, never raced one lol

@georgerauton They're neck and neck stock for stock. The older carbed yfz's are easier to get power out of on the cheap. A simple exhaust, intake, and jet kit will do more for an older model than exhaust, intake, and retune will do for the new one.
@05yamahayfz450 So i guess Yamaha spent all that money and time on R&D to make the aluminum frame, fuel injection, and far superior suspension for nothing, Clearly the kid who has the old yfz wants to believe his is faster because he cant afford the yfz450r.
the yfz should have been way out front. seems like he was shifting alot faster than he needed to. probably coulda got some more speed outta lettin it rev up higher
