I never understand why people bring things like salmon, pasta, peanuts, popcorn, beef... all widely available in Australia, even in a place like Darwin or Alice Springs :p It is not like you are going on an uninhabited country...

@disamjisa That always amazes me on this show. People bring all sorts of food, and it is not even especially exotic stuff. Of course, there are crisps and coffee and noodles in Australia. Old Fritz was the first person I ever saw on this programme to state the obvious.

@vpa0 Hopefully enough to encourage people simply to buy food when they get to Australia. I really don't know why people take their own. I never take food to other countries. I just take cash. I can be easily converted into food and requires no refrigeration or special packaging.
