  • what it must be like for eddie to watch his idol sing one of his very own songs...

  • My first time seeing this video. thanks for sharing

  • We love you Big Man, and will miss you! Thank You for Everything!

  • Eddie mentioned this performance tonight before dedicating "Betterman" to Clarence.

  • RIP Big Man

  • Eddie and Bruce singing Betterman together = amazing

Eddie and Bruce jamming together after sax solo by the Big Man on Betterman = fucking insane

  • LMAO @ all the comments praising this performance after I found it listed in ESPN's YouTube Hall of Fame. Everyone saying this is great is obviously a little too loyal to The Boss.

  • Still the most amazing concert I was ever at!

  • WOW! Usually Bruce outplays everybody else hands down...except Eddie. These two playing together...simply fantastic...what a treat !!!

  • @elatlover i could not have put it any better my self

  • @elatlover "Except Eddie." Surely, you must be joking. Vedder sucks compared to Springsteen in just about every aspect. And he knows it...

  • I would've given my left nut to see this live

  • fabulous version of a great song, sung by my 2 favourite guys. Wish I'd been there

  • fabulous version of a great song , sung by my 2 favourite guys.

  • best live version of the song (even tho bruce messed up his verse)

  • I totally love some of the comments; especially rearviewMirror123 and Royalskull. They are both right on the money.

  • This is so awsome!!

  • i would have given myn left leg to have been at this one... damn

  • AHHHHH!!!! My Eddie...God I Love Him!! and here in Joisey at that!!!! fuggetaboutit!!!!

  • no eddie rules!

  • BRUCE RULLLESSSSSS

  • Id probably knock you out if you said that to me...Eddie does have some pretty loyal fans dude...Go fuck off troll

  • Think your being a little harsh but I do agree Bruce isn't great on this one. Just don't think it suits him.

  • perhaps its a little harsh but still true. I know he loves music and its been his life but the popularity game and reaching new fans at his age is not one to play. Stick to the game you're good at I always say.

  • @snoglobe68 the critical acclaim and record sales of his 5(!) albums from the 00s beg to differ

  • I'm not questioning his ability as a musician TG. On this song he just didn't bring it for me...Song doesn't suit him.

  • Its not really harsh, some people just find Bruce Springsteen to be annoying. His voice just doesn't do it, he sounded like he had never heard the song in his life.

  • Far out! That was cool!

  • be nice is bruce actually learned the words

  • eddie doesn't even remember his own words 1/2 the time. just sayin. they both have written few..

  • I'm a huge fan of both and can't even begin to imagine how AWESOME this would have been to see live...

  • what a joy..super

  • muito bom.

  • My God this is amazing... It gets better and better then Clarence comes in and just wow... Haha and Eddie looks elated to be playing with Bruce.

  • Holy Shit! two legends on the same stage performing one of the best songs ever written? Doesn't get much better than that!! Thank you for sharing!

  • max fucking weinberg for the win

  • WOW......Thank you! I'm still looking but he is out there!!

  • This is awesome

  • Eddie's god!!

  • whos the sax guy?

  • clarence "big man" clemons

  • Do all sax players have a nickname/middle name? :D

    :P

  • The Big Man is Clarence Clemons. He's been part of The E Street Band since the 70s.

    And he is AWESOME.

  • You know, it never occurred to me before that "Better Man" could be enriched by the addition of a sax solo.

    But it can.

  • The Boss quite messes it up in some points, but I don't mind! He's still my hero, just as Eddie :-)

  • holy shit!!!!!!!! where was this???

  • HeerlijK!

  • Wow!! Go Bruce and Eddie!! Never seen Max so animated....Great stuff.

  • bronxirish78 you must be a piece of garbage clean your mouth befour say anything about this two!

no one wants to be a piece of cheat, eathing by the drogs!

he play god music but the drogs fuck him, put him on the grave!kiss your aSS BEATCH

  • Hardly.

  • damn i wish i was there, this was on my fourteenth birthday...

  • Wow, that jam is some of the greatest rock & roll I've ever seen, by anyone, ever, period. I love it at 4:18 when Bruce motions to the sound guy to "TURN IT UP." IMO, this version is way better than Pearl Jam's live version.

    Just an incredible video. Thanks.

  • KIppevellllllllll

  • WHat a sax solo, straight into eddie and bruce wailin on their guitars for 2 minutes

  • max wineberg ftw

  • This is awesome! Eddie makes my knees weak...

  • WOw. This was awesome. THanks! Wonder if they did "Daughter" together as well.. That would be a good song for Bruce to do with Ed.

  • how cool must it be to be Eddie V.? he's shared the stage with Bruce, The Who, The Stones, REM, Ramones, Tom Petty, The Buzzcocks, Ace Frehley, The Strokes, The Doors, U2, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Dave Grohl, Mike Watt, Tim Armstrong, Patti Smyth, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Cheap Trick, The Supersuckers, Mike Ness, Neil Finn.... jeez.. the list goes on and on... as a fan of music, this has to be a list of career highlights for the man.. keep kickin' ass Eddie Ved!!

  • Another name to add to that list would be Sir Paul McCartney. They'll be on the same stage together for something. Can't remember.

  • I love that it's a Springsteen show but the crowd knows every word of Ed's song.

  • awesome vid. i love the respect they have for each other.love the big man solo adds a cool touch to the song. best part is the jam by ed and bruce at the end

  • Bruce and Eddie ... both sexy!!!!!

    Great music.

I was never into Pearl Jam - but I loved Eddie Vedder.

  • damn...and wow....that eddie vedder's got to have one of the best bodies in rock and roll.... :)

  • Well I love them both in their own right they are both amazing.

  • Eddie performed with Bruce once and totally SLAUGHTERED Bruce's lyrics, so it's not a big deal Bruce missed a few of Eddie's.

  • bruce can fuck up as many lyrics as he wants! He's the boss!

  • I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but i'm gonna do it anyway. It was an electric performance, it was awesome to see Eddie and Bruce on the same stage, but Bruce fucked up the lyrics.

  • Some of you losers I swear look for every little mistake you can find

  • This is freaking AMAZING god, i wish i was born like 15 years earlier. i missed so many great milestones in music. bleh ,it makes me sad. (!!!i missed the whole seattle/grunge era!!!)

  • Well, they're still around and playing, so go see them if you can. They still kick ass live, both Bruce and Pearl Jam

  • That's the beauty with music - itr can live forever if it's good enough. I'm forty, I lived & breathed this stuff, I still sing my heart out when these songs come on say in the car - my kids think I'm mad.

  • Nice....thanks!.. :)

  • legends the pair of them!!

  • It can be hard to define rock & roll. However, like the Supreme Court Justice who couldn't define pornography, but knew it when he saw it, **THIS** is rock & roll.

  • q merda. esse kra parece q canta se mordendo.

mas o vedder canta muito o kra

  • Right dead center for this show with the wife, incredible show !!!

  • was there. there are no words to describe it.

  • I went to this show and it was awesome!

  • A little slow...and I prefer without sax!

  • Well it is Bruce's band so relax.

  • well i'm sure deep down Eddie may have felt slighted by it, but this was a ROCKING performance..Maybe when Bruce whispers in his hear at the end he apologized? I doubt it, but who knows..it's two totally different types of music, so, it happens. i love the sax solo. Its really FUN just to watch the two of them together, Bruce just looks like he is having fun..must have been amazing to be at that show

  • wow!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • I Have No Words... Awesome!!

  • izzi is right, bruce MANGLES the vocals, but the jam at the end is nasty

  • is the shit

  • Springsteen and Vedder on the same stage. It doesn't get any better than that!

  • Bruce and Ed- We love you!

  • WOW.

    Just wow..

  • I was at this show with my dad.. hearing Bruce sing Better Man with Eddie, hearing him sing "Running on Empty" and "Racing in the Street" with Jackson Browne ALL IN THE SAME SHOW.. was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, definitely the most amazing and surreal concert experience I ever had, and I treated my dad to this show 2 days before he left for the Middle East (both of us being huge Springsteen fans), and he returned safely in 2005. I wont ever forget it

  • sub par vocal performance by burce, but eddie and the jam at the end saved it
