guys i am a punjabi and no doubt kamal is a good singer, but i think that ppl are expecting 2 much of him. For some reason I don't feel that he is int eh same class as other singers that have come in these shows before....his low notes are not very good and his breathing technique is not upto mark...his murkian's r good but not the best, u can judge what he is going to do....but he has time on his sides to learn more. Did you see what happened at 4:46. That's where AR Rehman judged this singer. That's different story sukhwinder had chance to record in studio with few more takes. But, after all if you want to prove yourself in front of great AR.This kind of error is not accepted. Bottom line is it takes a lot to fit in AR Rehman's league. That doesn't mean Kamal is not special though!

I'm not too keen on Kamal Khan's singing voice texture. Mohd. Rafi was born and raised in Amritsar, Punjab and developed his singing career in Lahore, Punjab - back then the singing capital of India. Kamal Khan is from Patiala city in Punjab and if he wants to follow in the footsteps of Rafi sa'ab, then he'll have to change his style of singing, but that looks highly unlikely. I don't want this year's SRGMP to turn like 2008,2009 with singers like Aneek Dharr or Vaishali Mhade.They are lost.
