Excessive force a police state does not make.

The very fact this is featuring on Associated Press and is being covered shows that to spite the seriousness there is no cover-up or corruption, it is NOT the system that is the problem.

The problem is quite simply one cop who crossed the line, a moment of impulsive outburst he will likely pay the price for, certainly lose his job.

No one person is infallible, but a system can be.

Well that IS fucked up then... but the family is suing for $25 million so at least there is some small justice which will force the dept to change their procedure for dealing with suspects.

I'm pretty sure the Deputy did not intend Harris's head to smash into the wall at that angle and probably expected him to land flat on his back. He was suspected of carrying a knife and willing to use it.

But innocent till proven guilty, he should have taken more care in making an arrest.
