@AGAG789 Is that what this is for? The problem is that there are people like you that look at music as a sport and think that it is about dominance, you should quit playing and listening to music. You don't deserve it .Your words define your quality.
@keymangk I kindly ask for you to take a moment and re-evaluate your defining concepts regarding music. Believe it or not, music IS a sport. The faster the better. The more chords in one second, the most passion. You are like a child that still believes Santa eats the cookies when it is obvious your father is the one devorating all your chocolate and gulping your milk glass that then hides on the nascent rolls of fat under his shirt. Clogging his arteries bit by bit... Please, grow the fuck up.
@AGAG789 Your words make me believe that you are just an anorgasmic prostitute concerning taste in music. Whatever i might say won't have any meaning to you , you ain't the one that gets it budy. End of story. Who the hell brainwashed you to the alien you are now? I blame them and your evolved character accordingly. You are the victim, but i think it will get to you sooner or later. Enough time spent to your stacked brain.
I don't consider those words expressing mere awe worth posting at all. They leave me an impression that we are watching an acrobat rather than a pianist.
I don't consider those words expressing mere awe worth posting at all. We are watching pianists rather than acrobats, people trained to express rather than impress.
Besides your *tiiinnny* slip ups that I think were there, I think your version beats other world class musicians because the melody just came out a lot more clearer.
What makes this performance so world class is the fact that it is note perfect, it has the right dynamics, and you put feeling into it. True amazing. I will look up to you in the future thank you!!!
@Cansseco Well of course his playing was truly amazing and inspirational. However if you want to look at pianists with style and that can play without mistakes you can look for pianists like Lang Lang!
@lemmmmm03 Just want to add something to the musician debate goin on here :) While each performer has their own style and things they do right, one thing really admirable about a performer is when they play to showcase the music, not their ability. Lang lang is extremely entertaining, but for aspiring pianists, I'm not sure how much he can be used as an example for interpretation, because I've heard him completely ruin the essence of some pieces just to showcase his talent.. ok, said my piece :D
@rikku38 Ok your points are valid ones! However, recently i went to a concert put on by Lang lang called 'lang lang inspires'. In it was 101 children that were playing in a massed piano session. Where children played the most amazing classical piano peices to Lang lang. The reason these kids did this was to impress him, because that feel he inspires them to play piano. They want to impress him because of the way he shows his talent.
@lemmmmm03@lemmmmm03 That's truly great. Now, please direct your attention to the key word "INTERPRETATION". I simply said that I don't think he's a great example to follow by on HOW to play, but if he is able to inspire people to play in general, that's wonderful. The next step is acquiring & developing their musicianship, and one part of that is listening to others and learning. As I'm sure you understand what I'm trying to say now, as an example on INTERPRETATION, he's not the most reliable
@rikku38 I think that proves that Lang lang is a great example to aspiring pianists! He doesn't just show off he wants to help discover new pianists too and show people the art of the piano! :D
Check out my videos and let me know what yout think :) lemmmmm03

wonder how much he practices...i want to play this song but i dont think i have the dicipline it takes im still half way through another rachmaninov peice anyway....sigh
You can certainly see where the most of his emotion lays in the song. Though how many different emotions this song equivocates, he seems young in his years. Though certainly a master but not a sage of this instrument I still am impressed.
That was amazing! The way your fingers and wrists are so loose reminds me of valentina lisitsa, technically speaking. What a beautiful tone you produce and a wonderful melodic line. :)
Heck yeah, I second that opinion finally someone else understand. I'm the one of the only ones in my intermediate and extended family that plays classical piano (and basically every other style), and as for others they prefer electric guitar.
There aren't enough pianists out there in comparison to guitarists.
Excellent and although I'm not quiet on the professional level yet, I have done much research and have developed a professional stand point as well
That being said. There isn't another musical skill that can touch pianists. No instrument is as demanding of the motor skills. I try to enjoy them all.
Nada mas arrancar la obra, se percibe una gran ejecución , con sobervia tecnica y sentimiento a la vez en esta dificil pieza. Mis congrutulaciones más sinceras desde Plasencia (Cáceres) Spain.
wonderful job. i have a question for all of you. is Rachmaninov oneof the best ever? I hear him described as "mechanical" very often, but i disagree when hearing his preludes... Next question...it seems that this song (especially in the begginning) consists of rapid arpeggios and a constant base note...this is so fast and beyond my comprehension...is this an accurate statement?
Hi There. Yes, Rachmaninov is one of the masters of music we have been blessed with. It was his playing that people called mechanical, however I tend to disagree -- if you listen to his recordings, he plays with that 'old master' precise touch, and it is still flowing and sure. This piece isnt really that 'fast', its just got a lot of notes packed inbetween the melody lines - which are the base (like the deep background bells) and the higher response melody... the filling details the sentiment.
you play some bass notes as it they were 64th notes.. like really fast like.. small embelishments.. maybe you should try a fuller tone and detach them in the timing u play it.. just that.. cuz the rest was sexy.. lol
wonder how many hours of practice this guy put into this
