Great ship design! I think that not only does it have the best of the Excelsior and Ambassador classes, but incorporates the best parts of all "heavy cruisers", from the Constitution class all the way through the Sovereign class.

This is one of the nicest original Star Trek starship designs I've seen. I still like Kirk's Enterprises the best, but this is waaaay better looking than anything Picard Commanded. Well done!

Hey, this is one of the nicest looking starship designs I have seen in quite a while. My favorite of all time is still the Excelsior class. She lives up the classic epitome of federation starship design and continues to be an elegant looking and useful starship design. :)

The warp streaks are not stars the idea behind the '' Star Streaks '' is down to when a starship travels faster than the speed of light all the light bits of rock and dust are deflected around the ship e.g thats why theres a deflector dish . This creates a field around the ship so that all space rocks/dust dont punch a hole in the ship . The nearest natural real effect to this is the Northen Lights . We see the ''Northen lights'' to solar particles bouncing off the EARTHS magnectic field .

Hey, retread, the warp effect is wrong. Stars aren't that small that they go zipping by the war pylons. Also, during FTL travel, the stars wouldn't be zipping by like that, since there are LIGHT YEARS between most of them.

Oh yes! A bit like an Ambassador with the New Nacelles from the Enterprise-E!

As for the Deflector, it is a recessed deflector, so the light is reflecting off the metal on the hull around it. I am thinking that, anyway, like it is the intake on a jet with the engine inside.

Discovery is a great name for a Starship, like the shuttle and the sailing ship from hundreds of years ago!
