  • Mike B hasnt changed in 20+ years!! he's still wearing that grey T.shirt!! The only band on the planet worth bothering about FAITH NO MORE.

  • "look at that log" haha

  • i bet there are a lot of demos and unaired songs. they should release it.

make a few extra dollars an make us a favor

  • I wish i could hear this song in its entirety..if it ever was finished...

  • some people have been so full of shit for so long that they dont recognize that mike is just being himself, he doesnt control the muscles in his face to not appear to be in a bad mood or annoyed. if just expresses what he feels. thats why he is who he is and not just another dude singing for a band

  • I love FNM, but this is some boring, pointless shit to watch. And Mike Patton is an obnoxious asshole even when he's just standing around.

  • 3:22 the creation of malpractice!!!!

  • Hello! Do someone here have a contact to Matt Wallace?

He produced a band called Udora few years ago.

maybe an email or myspace, whatever....

    watch?v=f7HzScOJP9g

  • Roddy is wearing a 91210 shirt!! LOL

  • Roddy is wearing a 91210 shirt!! LOL

  • 3:15 to 4:05 later it was Malpractice...... Mike is a Genious

  • What's the name of the first song on this video? It's hypnotic!

  • mira, si no me equivoco. esa cancion es LAND OF SUNSHINE :)

  • @queteneahi Muchas gracias. Saludos para la Argentina!

  • @cazurrox I'm guessing it's a scrapped song they had called "The Funk Song" or "The Carpenters Song". your guess is as good as mine.

  • @PromisingAttempt and @NoMansPlan this is "Shuffle Song"... or the Angel Dust version of "Shuffle Song", rather.

  • its Early Smaller and Smaller, there is an interview where Mike P says he was doing Tebetan monk chants over it which is Smaller and Smaller.

  • 90210 (LOL) ha ha

  • roddy being gay came as a shocker, but after seeing his beverly hills 90210 shirt makes me think "ohhhh...." kinda like rob halford being gay. "rob's not gay! those leather and chains are so brutal! ohhhhhh...."

  • 4:28 whats in the bag mike? ;)

  • hahah Mike chillin' on the couch. He looks like "fuck that shit, all I need to do is play the drums".

  • AH... analog tape.

  • ...the 90210-shirt itches my eye

  • 04:08 Malpractise influenced by the mighty GODFLESH! Damn :) Genius...

  • well it certainly captures the boredom of waiting for someone else to get their part down........fuck me (yawn)

  • ...that's just what I thought! But, well...

  • Beverley Hills 90210 shirt! LMAO

  • What song is Roddy playing?

  • My dad found that same Kurweil unit they're getting all the keyoard sounds from in a pawn shop for like $75 about 5 years ago...

That thing was probably the shit back then.

  • I still have mine, cutting edge then, sounds like you're playing the notes through a tin can now.

I just spent far too much money on a 30 something year old HB2 that sound loads better.

  • and so... who was in the phone?

  • I was amused that the early comments had noted Roddy was gay. SURPRISE YOUR DEAD! It's a new age, no one cares, least of all me. Not that there's anything wrong with it - (Seinfeld). Ha! Ha! Whatever. I do like the fact that they have to tape it! I have tapes of my own band I can probably never use! Oh well...I wish I could cut & paste tracks back then!!!!!!

  • Awesome to see mike running through his song Malpractice. Such as kick as piece of music. "wahh wuhh wuhh wuhh wah wuh wuh wuh wah wah " aw he's like a little kid.

  • Ah, the days when good bands used to record to tape.

  • Damn I didnt realize patton was so nasty on bass

  • Comment removed

  • Good, Im not the only one who likes the sandwich chronicles

  • hahaha count me in too.i actually think of patton now when ever i eat sandwiches.he makes me want to eat them.

  • what happened to those interviews of Patton when he was eating that sandwhich?

  • It was removed for some reason. Can anyone upload that again? It was pretty great.

  • Thats what i'm looking for.... they were so funny. Mike just took the piss. Please upload! :)

  • ye loved those interviews

    peace*

  • who cares if Roddy was gay - thats a private issue and none of my business...Roddy wasn't waving the rainbow fig flag like these degenerates do now on GTV...if someone wants to get anal cancer or gonorrea in their throat thats also their business...Long Live FNM!!

  • MTV sux sooo bad now...hey how about another reality show about a pretty boy looking for his cowboy a la Brokebutt Mountain? cannot believe how they became GTV...

  • Hey, didn't you know Roddy Bottum is gay?

  • who the f__k cares

  • Comment removed

  • His face is perfect asymmetry.Too beautiful 3:22

  • unlike billy gould

  • Can you realize that this recording was made very early in the morning. Look for the sleepy face of Mike. he is about to sleep standing 3:17. Cute ahaha.

  • Wow, MTV was so good in the early 90's. It's pretty sad how far it's fallen.

  • It's quite sad to watch knowing what Jim Martin was going through with his dad dying.

  • Wasn't it Roddy's dad?

  • fuck all you know about recording then

  • analog is the only way......fuck digital, any real bands prefer analog by choice

  • I prefer analog but digital is alot more convinient since most studios don't have analog these days

  • they go get high when they say i'll go take myself for a leak...unless they have a sword fight

  • FNM is and remains one of the greatest bands to have ever existed.

  • HELL YEAH!!!! Too bad Jim Martin didnt dig this album....kinda sad

  • @tmcmastertube That is totally right...Faith no More are Rock Legends

  • one of the best albums....ever.

  • 05lhf, Angel Dust is great, but The Real Thing was a total masterpiece!!

  • k...everyone says this kinda stuff but seriously...if mike wrote that malpractice song all in his head like he was explaining...it's very impressive

  • What the hell are those Monitors there using! they look sick!

  • I believe this was recorded shortly after his dad died and he was kinda messed up on drugs. He's sad for a reason here.

  • Mike's playing jizzlobber?

  • Malpractice

  • Yeah, Mike has the sole writing credits for "Malpractice", IIRC.

  • My preceding comment addresses FunckingStanz' comment about half-way down this page.

  • It sounded like the part Mike was singing Jim was Malpractice, and the intro/keyboard/bass part, if I had to venture a guess, they're hammering out Jizzlobber, but I'm only about 60% on that one...

  • I'm sure they have had stalemate recording sessions like this more than not. I'm guessing this is why after a while, they tired of the process.

  • fnm rules

  • i LOVE roddy bottum so much.

  • Billy seems to have played a pretty big part in the recording process.

  • The songs everything's ruined i'm pretty sure, jst sounds like the bass and drum tracks aren't finalised yet. Mike's the man

  • I just mean the small intro bit that roddys playing in major at the start btw dunno about the other bits they were doing. Roddy got his way tho cause it's in minor on the album

  • I just mean the small intro bit that roddys playing in major at the start btw dunno about the other bits they were doing. Roddy got his way tho cause it's in minor on the album

  • check out my video 'lost' faith no more song

  • And to whoever left the comment about patton being gay, no: I think thats wishful thinking on your part my friend. Guy has been married. Roddy is the gay one. Your a dumbass!

  • fuck off homophobic slackjawed sister-fucking cunt

  • roddy was so bullied by everyone the whole time lol

  • I love the part that beggins in 1:05 :)

  • Not very high-tech are they? XD

  • This album was made in 92......i doubt there was much technology back then!

  • What are you talking about? What technology in recording and instrumentation exists today that didn't in 1992?

  • I can assure you that an incredible amount of instrument and recording technology exists today that did not 16 years ago, in 1992.

  • Such as. Digital stuff? That's only somewhat revolutionary considering it's an emulation of analog.

And most of it sounds like shit.

  • cellphones... ;)

  • we had em back then.

  • ahhhh hahahaha......its 1992...come on

  • I really like this begining of a song. i wish they would have finished it and released it. if anyone knows that they did and where to find it please leave a message on my page!

  • Roddy is the one that is openly gay

Mike Patton was married to an Italian woman for many years

  • I didn't know that. Nor do I believe that.

  • I really dont care if you beleive in it or not. Never asked you to beleive in it. maybe i should say youre a momo too? haha hey no hard feelings he?

  • that is the most stupidest shit i have ever heard he was married Roddy was the gay one

  • Roddy is Garth from Waynes World!!

  • or dana carvey

  • roddy is not happy.

  • ha its all about how mike just sits on the couch doing a crossword or something

  • roddys getting raped mentally. I'm sorry dude. I send you my love.

  • THIS was HISTORY IN THE MAKING!! It is so cool to see this, even after all this time! They are So GREAT to watch,(and Listen to), I Bought a copy of ANGLE DUST, And it is one of the BEST Albums i have ever bought!! WELL DONE INDEED!!

  • its wierd to see patton and martin being civil to each other,as their differences are so well documented

  • I dont think they really ever had a falling out. Patton (and, to a less degree, the other guys) is an artist, where Martin liked sitting around playing Black Sabbath. The two perspectives never really meshed.

  • I know exactly how you feel, I was just totally armed to see them being respectful with no animosity. Strange, huh? :|

It's almost hard to believe these guys have had bad things to say about each other unless maybe they didn't want the MTV people to see anything.

  • *alarmed rather.

Anyway, I wonder why Mike and Jim fell out in the first place. Especially since Jim recommended he join the group and they were supposed to have been friends prior to The Real Thing.

It's quite painful watching all this footage knowing that Jim would leave and grow pumpkins. In some way, it helps to illustrate his identity as a member of a truly alternative group but it seems to serve as an example of his fall from grace.

I read somewhere that Mike trimmed his guitar parts.

  • I love faith no more angel dust, I bought it as a new release and I've had it ever since like '92 or something. One of my first Cd's that I ever bought, when Cd's were brand new, I never knew this video existed, this is like the Beatles on Ed Sullivan for me. Blows my mind. Bruce Cirksena

  • I love Mike Bordin, one of my favourite drummers but that tracks their doing the keyboards two, the bass drums are quite sloppy

  • Im sure they were just used as a rough guide, and were re-recorded later.

  • The parts toward the end on the keys remind me a lot of a section or two in "Just a man" from King for a day. Yup, the bass thing was definitely Malpractice. (Which Patton wrote)

  • i saw it on that dvd AGAIN...i think you are right!

you saw him playing bass and taking with Martin. He mouthed the chords...and said "kinda godfleshy".

holy shit! this is the part i'm talking about...seriously...i am out of it...

    j.j.wolf

  • Wow man. You got it more than others, so take this heavy ride like you 'sposed to. Respect and divide. Love

  • Where can i get a copy of this song? Or did it not make the final cut?

  • no it did not. i have the freakin dvd boot leg.

hey go to myspase8com/jjwolfehorror and send me an addy, and i'll send "ANGEL DUST SESSIONS..." ANY TAKERS?

    J.J.WOLF

  • it did not(make the final cut.) I was wondering if it ever got finished.

I seriously have this on dvd.

  • My god... Rod has a 90210 t-shirt on... LOL

  • Mike Patton was only like 21 back then. I think he was only 18 or 19 when he started in Faith No More.

Now he has so much under his belt with music and he's only in his early 30's. He's recognizably to the underground a major creative force and talent.

Eventually, people may give him the credit and accolades like they do with Prince today.

  • He actually started Mr Bungle in 85... and he's 40 in June..

  • He turned 40 JANUARY 28, 2008.

  • january 27

  • People don't care about him. I tell you this, those that respect him and those that hate him are all the same, from talking to him (at least in '97) he considers them the same. We (those of us w/ love) need to give credit but with do it with a touch of disreguard, I don't know why but he digs that shit. I've desided not to talk to him again (last time was on the Directors' Cut tour w/ Fantomas) until I can just treat him like a loopy cousin.

  • awesome

  • wrong...gould actually wrote most of the music for angel dust.

  • I love FNM. Angel dust is is my favorite thanks for this great doc. I enjoyed ever second of it.

  • DID mike patton write some Parts for Guitar and bass for Faith no more ????

  • My understanding is that he wrote a lot of it, maybe wrong though. Either way he's a very talented fellow.

  • I belive that mike wrote a great deal of angel dust. i could be wrong....

  • Patton did contribute to Angel Dust, but not in writing. I mean, you can tell just from his presence. The other album, that doesn't count, because it's him filling in for a missing person. By this time, Mike was part of the formula.

  • An early version of Everything's Ruined??

  • malpractice or everythijngs ruyined

  • I love FNM and have for the past 18 years!

  • my whole life consists of avoiding people :-))

  • Jim Martin was such the odd one out wasnt he? This is great footage.

  • when mike was playing the bass guitar,it sounded like Malpractice. But idk, nice video though!!!

  • It was Malpractice, the bass line anyways.

  • meatspinner...

  • Angel Dust is my fav FNM record, so this footage is priceless...thanks!

  • yeah fuck! they keep playing that song that they are working on there it sounds fuckin awesome! dark, brooding then all it goes nice and poppy! i'd kill my mother for that song!

  • I have this video and the first time i saw it i ended up looking everwhere for that song. Anybody know the name of that song if it was ever released? If it's one of the songs Puffy has, he needs to put that stuff up. Bastard. I wanna hear the seagulls.

  • Good point. The seagulls would have helped make the album cover & title more meaningful.

  • Thanks for posting this...great to see and no these WERE up before, but got taken down...only one 3 min clip...not all 4...so stfu meatpan and thank this guy

  • hey thanx for posting these someone did before but they got removed! it would be awesome if u post as much of this footage as possible:)

  • all these videos have already been posted here by someone else
