  • The sheer power of the crowd when he sings the high "We don't have any real friends," makes the goosebumps consume my soul.

  • 3:39 !

  • brillant! a great performance

  • brillant! agreat performance

  • They played all their old songs at that concert! It's just awesome! :D

  • i prefer kid a and beyond but their older stuff is cool too

  • @MCshlthead y do you like kid a and beyond better? just curious

  • @hollowharmony1 i suppose because they were very fresh and different to me when i heard them, where as the older stuff is clearly more mainstream (dont mean that as a criticism) i love every radiohead album but hearing amnesiac and kid a for the first time was like exploring a whole new world :)

  • i dont think its radiohead. its v festival, its the most shit and commercial festival out there!

  • ed looks different here, idk, maybe its just me

  • the audio sucks

  • bullshit. it could be a hell of a lot worse.

  • agreed

  • Gotta love how the crowd is as loud as him.

  • radiohead are awsome

  • That's kind'a interesting lol. He says that he wishs he never even wrote the song but yet he titled one of his albums with this song. This doesn't make sense to me.... hell I wish it was the 60's lol.

  • "The song 'The Bends' is completely jokey, completely taking the piss. None of that stuff had ever happened to us when we wrote it. That was our Bowie pastiche, our joke song ! And I really do wish I'd never written that fucking song - it's become the bane of my life. Hundreds of journalists asking - every single fucking interview: 'Do you wish it was the sixties ?' No, I don't wish it was the fucking sixties - Levis jeans wish it was the sixties - I certainly fucking don't." - Thom

  • jack the sixties bring me back the nineties nah fukit bring on the 2010`s and some fully awesome new radiohead stuff man yeehaar

    slapyamonkey

  • I lOve RADIOhEAD

  • my favourite band and will always be, perhaps im just a critical bastard because im such a big fan, but this is really poor :/ i was there and thom just seems demotivated... shame, but i guess thats why we love them so much because you dont know what to expect..

Greatest band ever, but bad show :(

  • I've heard Thom's drunk-singing before, but this is the first time I've heard him completely bugger a song up with it.

  • doesnt screw it up.. but he evidently drunkish. u can play and instrument and be drunk. he might just be a little

  • @TheDevilWearsPradaa yes he do looks like he is drunk or on drugs :"( but I love radiohead.

  • It might sound like he's drunk, but it should be noted that he usually sings The Bends like this live. Look at other youtube videos of this song from the last few years, and they will all probably sound similar. Its just thom being thom.

  • Thom was obviously mailing in this performance. They had said before they hated V Festival and felt ashamed for performing there so...

The crowd only really reacts to the pre-Ok Computer stuff anyways so to hell with 'em.

  • Bullshit. I was there and the audience was into the whole thing, even the then-unreleased stuff. And whether the band wanted to be there or not, they were fantastic.

  • Dam rite, V festival is shite and the people hu go there are fuckin teeny boppers and middle aged folk who havent got a clue.

  • bad joke

  • its not a joke its an opinion

  • Yeah it does. It sounds like Thom isn't trying in this performance. Which is possible, and that's a shame.

  • maybe he just didn't want to performance at there

  • that's the beauty of live music... if you expect things to be exactly the same as the record then what would be the point in going to shows?

  • well listen to the jools holland '95 version the one with improved audio. its a million times better than the cd

  • best band ever!!! followed closely by arcade fire

  • simply amaziinnggggggggggggggggggg

  • the crowd is louder than they are...so amazing

  • its so great to see jonny lifiting his arm us so high before each gut wrenching stroke. fucking brilliant. the whole band. amazing. jonnys guitar 2nd verse! 'the planet is a gunboat in a sea of fear..' genius...

  • reminds of the beatles

  • this is so fun to play on guitar, one of the best tunes ever written, thats coming from someone who is quite the music geek

  • yeh it is really fun to play :D

  • haircut week on the RH tour bus.

  • really poor performance.. greatest band ever though!

  • yes yes yes!~

  • This is the tuuuuune - Amazing turn up the volume dudes....

  • The guitar at... 2:04 destroys me every time.

  • This song is completely fantastic. What's with the multi-angle filming? Was this recorded like for a DVD maybe? Pretty please?

  • by far my favorite radiohead song ever.

  • BECAUSE jordanharrisuk, if he sang normally and didnt play around with his vocals, wed just have a boring shitty band like some bullshit on the radio

  • i like his goatee thing he's got goin on =P

  • haha yeah... best way to describe it. he's so spontaneous at live concerts... its great.

  • the crowd are very good in this ;) really sing along at the beginning

  • Yeah, I was there, I remember everyone coming in early, felt amazing hahah

  • hell yea they are all into this song, unlike creep

  • because he can interpret the song in which way he pleases. :-p

  • If you'd been singing it for a decade for idiots who wanted to hear it "just like the record," you'd change it around too.

  • i know what you mean

  • why doesnt he just sing it normal?

    this versions ok

    but a bit wierd

  • because hes not the same , he is the best musician now
