  • con'td 786.... She is following her heart and what are you doing.Throwing stones. What good are you doing for your fellow man. Are you a good Muslim? Shame on you . You had better check the path you are on and take a good look at yourself. Al-hamdu lill`ah...God forgive me if I said anything wrong.

by the way when you where reading the Qu`ran did you note that we are all born into Islam.....

  • Con'tued... so you know where others are coming from when they are studing God? Did you forget that there is only ONE God? Did you forget that God is love. Did you forget that God loves everyone and created everyone and each of us has a right to worship that One God? Did you see the beautiful light in Tina's eyes? Did you see she is sharing His Story with you? I am a Muslim and am ashamed of how you have put this women on the ground and stamped on her and critisized her.

  • 786....I find it interesting that people are so filled with their dogma and their need to know and their need to be right and they all know what is Islam and what is true that it is incredible that they are still on the planet with us. Did they see the beauty of the love that Tina has in her heart while they are busy showing us how smart they are? Did they see she is a student and not a teacher. Did they notice how she is willing to learn? How many of you have studied another religion?

  • SAD SHE MISSED OUT ON THE TRUE MEANING OF ISLAM.MY DEAR PLEASE GO READ THE QURAN AND THE HADITH OF OUR NABI [SAW ]. YOU'LL HAVE A TRUE PICTURE OF ISLAM. AND MAY ALLAH GUIDE YOU TO THE RIGHT PATH OF ISLAM.

  • A story is told that one such public challenge came from a Muslim dignitary, Qonavi, who confronted Rumi before an audience. “You claim to be at one with 72 religious sects,” said Qonavi, “but the Jews cannot agree with the Christians, and the Christians cannot agree with Muslims. If they cannot agree with each other, how could you agree with them all?” To this Rumi answered, “Yes, you are right, I agree with you too.”

  • "Sufism is mainly focused on the direct perception of truth or God through mystic practices based on divine love." ~ Jesse Hirsh

The Sufi poet Rumi has written some fascinating, loving poetry. Rumi says to read the book of our own lives. Love helps us to open that book and see.

Tina Petrova says, "All this singing is one song. All religions are from God. And so I took it as a sign that it was time in the world right now for us to push aside our differences, to be more tolerant of one another."

  • "Sufism" is wrong terminology invented by Westerners to create lies and deception.

    .

The proper term is Tasawwuf, a Sufi is a MUSLIM who practices Tasawwuf. Tasawwuf is a PART of Islam.

  • "Sufi" but not a Muslim, then it is neither a Sufi nor a Muslim. People can dream about J.Rumi, as much as they want, but they are not even aware that Rumi was not just a "Suf"i or a New Age guru, Rumi was a Muslim saint!

Sufism without Islam is a farce, and I sorry to say, that Tina Petrova is also a farce and a....Sufi fake.

  • Islam exist in all, Submission to the divine. Islam is what that is with you all the time, you are born with it. Only time will tell when you are ready to walk the walk of Islam.

A good example will be the prophets before Muhammad. Our tradition says that Abraham, Moses, Jesus ect. were all Muslims. And what did they do to be Muslims ? Easy, Submission to God !

  • people ask what Satin is doing to distract people from true path, answer is that Satin has created a religion Sufism by which people fool themselves around and Satin(who is a Djinn) plays with their subconscious mind takes them away from true teachings of God's messengers and have fun.

  • Sufism is a very tolerant religion. Sufism is created from Islam, Christan mysticism, persian poetry, Hinduism, etc.

  • @Lionheart7100 There are two different kinds of Sufism. Universal Sufism created by Hazrat Inayat Khan that is created from different religions. And Islamic Sufism that already existed in the times of our beloved Prophet (pbuh) and that can be seen in the poetry of Saadi, Rumi, Khayyam and other Sufi poets. There is a big difference between the two kinds of sufism.

  • @galkacyo22 Can you tell me, how much is a Sufi based on Koran?

I know Sufis consume alcool which is forbidden by the koran...

And many things that don't seem to be related with the Koran

A sufi guy once said to me that, many things in the koran has been changed in time (something other muslims hold an absolute denial)

Im very interested in the relation between Sufism and the Koran, I am gonna find out...

  • @DritonGusia

There is actually is not much connection to Islam except they call the Arabic name of God "Allah"

Islam forbids music and dancing and mixing of the sexes, harming the body, praying to the dead or to graves, and many other aspects of some Sufi paths.

  • @Flavia0117 impressive... but one day I talked to a friend of mine who has a Sufi tradition, his answer was nothing like this :s now I'm really confused

They do claim that Muhammad is the prophet of God (not sure if the last) and that the Quran is the word of God.

Yet I still don't have a good answer about the link between the Koran and Sufism. The Koran didin't seem so much about love and purity and spirituality as Sufis are, it was rather made of neurotic dogma I would say.

  • If someone could tell her to watch a movie "Kashf", it would answer her...

  • @DritonGusia Qur'an is an ocean! :) Some search for law, some for science, some for philosophy, and some ....

This science was first called Ihsan, then Tassawaf n Tariqaat, n some know it as Sufism. This science was taught by the Prophet(pbuh) to some of his companions, who were at that stage n its passed on this way!

Its not just preaching, its Zikr which is from Qur'an, it has its effects n when it takes you over, its Sufism!

  • @artistdigital Sufism is simply the essence of the teaching of Islam. And the essence of all religions is its universality of humanity, love, mercy and peace.

  • I am searching for an answer, but before I will find it, can anyone give me a clue here?

How do sufis view the Koran, how much is it based there?

For what I rad in the Koran, it disgusted me... I can't call god someone that will burn you for eternity just because you were a Hindu or a pagan, thats madly cruel. I rad so much about fear and neurotic stuff that made me view Allah rather as a monster.

(Sunit use to be my tradition btw)

So where does all this love and mysticism source in Sufism?

  • @DritonGusia Try it yourself. if someone rape your child wouldnt you want the person to damn in hell? That justice. And it is Islam

  • @zatoichiable Im not talking about crimes

I'm talking about a basic human right

Why would a good-hearted, kind and wise Buddhist go to hell, just because he didn't submit to a religion alien to his culture?

A Hindu person may dedicate his whole life in helping people and doing good, yet he will burn ETERNALLY because he committed "shirk"? He worshiped the gods his tradition taught him to?

Now this is far from justice, this is sickness! This is not God at all

this is what I meant by hell

  • Prophet Muhammad was a Sufi himself. The difference between Muslim Sufi and non-Muslim Sufi is nothing. I mean nothing.... if they are a real Sufi, then religion is not an argument. The people who are are more interested in labels never able to drink the medicine that could heal them. Please do not bring Islam here. Islam was their inspiration not a condition. Kabir and Guru Nanak were Sufis too. Ignorance is not an excuse!

  • @xtremeownage2: That is not for you to judge.

    Only God knows the truth.

  • This people talking about Sufism, but they do not know what is Sufism. Sufi, a person who find his or her reality and Sufism is the reality of religion.

  • @habharchi but what is the reality of religion? And which religion?

  • hmmmmmm Sufi but not Muslim? So you can be a sufi without being a Muslim. I belive that!

  • The love of the holy Prophet Muhammed does NOT imply the Prophet himself...

  • Sufi is not only the way of the prophet but the way of a truly loving being even if it doesn`t even know the existence of Allah or his prophet. But your ego can make you feel greater if you believe or practice in certain things. This does not makes you a better "sufi". You can "whirl" for ever without reaching the true "experience", or you can just love from deep in your heart. Some of us must "practice" for years to reach meditation and spontaneous love, some don't. Be aware my friends...

  • "Not Muslim but following Sufism..." hmmm....

  • @galkacyo22 Sufi's are mystics. They do not take the quran literally. They are not a normal sect of islam

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • she is like madonna with kabbalah.

You can't be a sufi without being muslim first.

  • @Berialavrenti You can both be Sufi and not Muslim and also be Kabbalist and not Jewish. In fact, at their most deep, Sufism and Kabbalah are teaching the exact same thing. Christian mysticism is also teaching the exact same thing. The bible, quran, and torah all teach the exact same thing from a non-literal mystic interpretation. There is no difference between the 3 at their deepest points.

  • @bizzyb0ne017

you are right! and you can be a cardiologist without being a doctor first!

sufism is way too difficult for a non muslim, if not impossible!

the woman above is nothing more than a blind tourist who happened to find an old book of rumi at a garage sale and started calling herself a sufi!

sufism is more than poetry, it is absolute religious philosophy!

The woman in this clip has not the slightest idea what islam is, let alone sufism!

she just enjoys reading poetry, nothing more!

  • @Berialavrenti Maybe she just prefers the Sufi way to achieve their goals (the purification and oneness with divinity all that) but rejects the belief that Koran... or that the Muhammad was the last prophet or something.

Can you tell me whats the difference between Sufism, Sunni and Shia, do u know?

  • Allah this, Rumi that ...non of that matters... Sufi is a Lover of God and a Lover of God loves everyone and everybody..... Everything else is relative, but God is Absolute

  • That woman is a new ager, not a Sufi. It's terrible how she acts like she's an authority when it comes to Sufism.

  • I can't belive shes talking about sufism and claiming to be a sufi. I don't think she knows a lot about this beautiful sect.

  • Sufism is embracing of one god (the unseen and unfathomable), Rumi strictly spoke out against the concept of Jesus being the son of God..

Sufis do not call the beloved "friend", she is soo wrong...

  • @inkuban i respectfully would say rumi was not about anything but being one with god, he did not take sides and it is obvious that your interpitation is yours, but universal love of god was all in is teaching and writings.

  • @MJRProductions13 thankas for your reply. I respect your opinion and/or interpretation. However, its not about my interpretation its about Rumi and his works true meaning.

If you do not like the Quran or Islam I can understand that but that does not mean you change someone's work to fit your ideology/philosophy.. Just learn from it, take whatever you like and let it be as itis and do not change it. Thanks and respect.

  • I humbley warn that anyone who practices Sufism without Islam will be ruined by insanity.

  • Comment removed

  • @glorplaxy - the gnostic philosophy can be used with every religion. Sufism is basically an Islamic approach to gnosticism. Ultimately though, the love and respect for the beauty of all things is inherent in Islam with or without Sufism. Sufism is true Islam.

  • @blondie3009

    meh

  • It is wonderful if she is a spiritual woman but she should not claim to be a Sufi. Her idiology is not Sufism. I would like to know what path she follows and how she follows it without being muslim.

  • Suffis IS not islam >>.. THIS IS NOT WHAT ALLAHS and HIS MESSENGER (salallahualihiwasalam)TOUGHT US.... INNOVATION IS MISGUIDENCE... MAY ALLAH GUIDE US ALL

  • @az101 what do you know about Sufism??? Please tell me

  • Subhanallah!!!

What really gets me is that people actually believe this rubbish.. A Sufi is a Muslim.. if you're not Muslim then there's NOWAY your a Sufi.. Sufism is a branch of Islam just like Fiqh and Shariah.. the Prophet (s.a.w) was the Master of the Sufis.. After him comes Abu Bakr.. There are real Sufi Tariqats as well as fake ones.. the fake ones..like this.. are aimed to take people away from the real Sufism..

  • I Love it, great woman,

  • Heheh, crazy Hat.

the thing they say at the start is true. It depends which order you look at for whether it is Islam or not. Although even ones that dont consider themselves Muslim are at least highly influenced by Islamic thought. Rumi -Peace be upon Him- was a devout Muslim. Hazrat Inyat Khans (Blessings upon him) order for instance is not Muslim, or rather It may be better to say they are Muslim and Christian and Hindoo... They have been big in the Interfaith movement.

  • She mentions one of the poets named Kabir. His techings and poetry are in the Sikh Holy Book. As well as many other Hindu and Muslim saints' teachings.

  • Yes, I TOTALLY AGREE ON ONLY ONE POINT: SUFISM IS NOT ISLAM, IT IS A PHILOSOPHY, KNOWING THAT THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE QUR'AN AND THE AUTHENTIC SUNNAH OF THE LAST PROPHET MUHAMMED (pbuh). The Last Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said: "I let you two things, that if you hang on them, you will never be misguided: The Book of Allah (Qur'an) and my Sunnah".

    IT IS CLEAR!!

  • at least sufism is cooler than Wahhabism. I would go to a thing on it instead of Wahhabi.

  • i think this woman's on crack

  • If the love of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) does not exist within your heart! You are NOT a Sufi!

    That is the simple truth!

  • @xtremeownage2 i admit that the love for the prophet is important, but is it more important than the love of Allah?

  • @Ishaq91

Love of the Prophet (SAW) is the love of Allah (SWT)! It is impossible to love the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) without the love of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)!

Anything that goes against the Sharia of Islam, is NOT Tasawwuf!

PS: You sound like a Wahabi. Not a Sufi...

  • @xtremeownage2 No i am not a wahabi nor a sufi. However i am interested in sufism but it sometimes confuses me.

  • @xtremeownage2 You are absolutely RIGHT my brother

  • @xtremeownage2

sadly nowadays everyone who buys a 5$ poetry book of rumi or joins a dance group thinks he or she is sufi!

  • thats right...

  • thats right...

  • Tasawwuf (Sufism) can be sumed up in one sentence:

"The love of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)!"

This video is nonsense! Islam focuses on both the internal and external aspects!

  • @xtremeownage2 Sufism is about getting closer to Allah (s.w.t)... It's ALL ABOUT ALLAH.. and earning His love and Pleasure.. and ofcourse the greatest Sufi was the Prophet (s.a.w)..

  • @MoZaIc89

Firstly it is "Tasawwuf" wrongly called "Sufism" in the West

Tasawwuf is all about the love of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)!

Love of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the love of Allah (SWT)!

You sound like a Wahabi, trying to make everything as a "this verses that" scenario.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the greatest of all God's creation, and the closest one to God!

Tasawwuf is all about the love of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and therefore is all about the love of Allah (SWT)!

  • @xtremeownage2 I don't understand what you're trying to prove.. what do you mean I'm making it a "this verses that" scenario? I said Tasawwuf is all about Allah and how to be near Him.. you're trying to make it out like I'm wrong in what I said.. but then you end up saying the exact same thing.. so I'm kinda confused

  • @MoZaIc89

It is impossible to love Allah (SWT) without loving the Prophet (SAW)! God's most beloved creation is the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW)!

Sufi = Religious Sunni Muslim who practices Tasawwuf!

Main sufi orders: Qadri, Chishti, Soharwardy, and Naqshbandi!

A true Sufi aims to purify himself, and loves Allah (SWT) and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) more than anyone or anything else!

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is Islam, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the faith of a Muslim!

  • @xtremeownage2 .. I didn't deny any of that so I don't know where you got that idea from..

one thing I do disagree with is "Sufi=Religious Sunni Muslim..."

A Shia can also practise Tasawwuf.. You probably already know that 3 of the 4 orders (Qadriya, Chishtiya, Suharwardiya) all come from Hadthrat Ali (r.a).. so its not impossible for a Shia to practise Tasawwuf..

  • @MoZaIc89

You lack basic understanding of Tasawwuf!

Hazrat Ali (AS) is a Sunni. Shia's came from the nation of Muawiyah, but after Yazid martyrd holy Imam Hussein (AS), then they regretted it and converted to Shiaism.

Qadri, Chishti, Soharwardy, Naqshbandi are all Sunni, Alhamdulillah! The founders of them were all Sunni... And Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (Rad) is a Sunni!

Tasawwuf was made by Sunnis... Shia added it when the Safavids forcefully converted Iran and adopted the pre-Shia System.

  • @xtremeownage2 ok bro.. Slm

  • @MoZaIc89

Tasawwuf is 100% a Sunni origin practice. It is the core or essence of Islam!

All of the Sufi Walis (or Muslim Saints) were all Sunnis...

The leader of the Walis is Abdul Qadir Jilani (Rad) who is a Sunni!

So only a Sunni can practice Tasawwuf... Anyone else who claims such, has only adopted the Pre-Shia culture of Iran!

Remember, Iran used to be a majority Sunni state, until the Safavids forcefully converted it to a Shia state!

  • @xtremeownage2 He who saves a life, saves all mankind. If mankind is your children you cannot hate them.

  • Sufism may be accepting of the world's religions and may point to a transcendent truth that exists above all religions, but you must be muslim to practice it, for it is the very heart of Islam.

  • oh no, you got it all wrong...

sufism is not about dancing, poetry, wearing rumi costume or whatsoever...

it's about combining your soul with god, and you can't learn that by using brain, only by heart under supervision of true sufi master that have valid connection to rasulullah, gabriel and allah...

find the one and only sufi master, he will reveal the truth... for he will always with god..

  • What do u say when da truth mixed with shit? haiz,,,,,,

  • They title Rumi wrong, his full name is Mavlana Jalaludin Balkhi.

  • how comes sufis dance?? did the prhoet saw do it if so some one plz give some evidnce

  • did the prophet peace be upon him drink juice? did he take a metro? did he eat chicken alfredo? we dont know, he came to guide us to Allah, sufism, suni, shia, we are all trying to get closer to god, one tries one method others tries other.

  • again typical no ahtuentic hadith wich proves that the prohet done this. therefore a bidah wich leads to hell fire. we should follow the prhet saw so wat are u on about with ur metro and juice??? make some sense bro nd stop showing ur self aS a fool....

  • RE: 1993soldier

I mean this in all due respect; shove it up your ass. If you want to wake up each morning and piss on your cornflakes then go right ahead - but stop pissing in everyone else cornflakes.

  • no logic yet again just pathetic little insults. you are foold remove the blind fold placed by satan over ur eyes and study islam .

  • All religions are from God? You are just talking without knowing. Buddhism and Taoism do not need any god. And what if there is no god, than even the Sufis are wrong. Reducing everything to a sole idea of God God God makes life simple but dull.

You said, Rumi appeared to you in a dream. I would like to know how he looked like.

  • You obviously don't understand the concept of the All Mighty, God. I won't get into a debate with you, however every religion, including sitting back and observing the world leads to one God.

If you don't believe in God, then why do you care so much to bother the people who do. Keep your confused, unconfident pain to yourself.

  • There is no need to understand God. As you said, it is just a concept with nothing behind.

When you were a child, your parents and your culture put this God-stuff into your mind and you never grew up to question it.

  • I never grew up to question it? dont assume you are a master of psychology. If there is one thing very similar with all atheists it's your ungrateful pride and arrogant view towards the world around you. You think you are actually significant. You don't appreciate the endless sustenance of the world around you, rather you tread through life as ungrateful zombies. Your mind is not free, you're not a modern thinker. You're a fool, and you're school of thought has existed since the beginning of time

  • poor brainwashed muslim

  • poor weak minded atheist.

I will barbecue marshmallows over your burning soul one day

  • i am not worried about that.

There is no soul, so nothing can burn.

  • Well said.

  • If there is no God, then why the need to be a good person? Don't tell me human nature and (that it's the right thing to do)

What's to stop me from beating you to the ground and taking your wife, or stealing everything in your home and moving my family into it. Don't tell me these things are wrong via the laws of nature.

They are all natural occurrences in the animal kingdom.

Atheists are not the progressive thinkers of this world, you are the lazy ones.

  • I think of atheists as petulant children - when being fed they try to rip the spoon from their mother's hand saying "wanna do it myself" and look away from their mother as if that can make her go away by turning their head.

  • great analogy, but what about those babies who are well-behaved, watch and learn how their mother feeds them, then learn about chopsticks etc. to figure out the general principles of eating, before they applying them usefully in other areas of life? Perhaps religious peeps are the ones happy to suck all their ideas from mom and pop? Religions are certainly part of our common cultural heritage, but this chick made a mistake with the hat.

  • warren Cuccurulo "petulant children" wow insults insults insults. I never turned away from my mother. Most atheist let people shove views down there throats. I was a victim of it. I was a well behaved baby (quite i listened). so how can i be a petulant child?

  • Thousands of years since the beginning of monotheism and still, not a single new argument amongst you confused, weak minded atheists.

Not a single error in the Holy Quran, scientific, historical or even grammatical.

A world around us that speaks every truth on it's own and yet you morons choose to close your eyes & ears. All because of your disgusting pride and ungrateful rebellion against authority, in this case the highest authority that gave you the right to exist.

  • Well said. Alhamdulillah.

  • This is sad. She is so serious about it!

There is so much more humour in this kind of -ism.

    Funny hat anyway.

    @luciuswake: good point --> we are 1

  • There is suffism in a better sense than she is making it.

  • Neda, don't be scared....As Basij angels shot an innocent flower. Sufism is the truer islam. Gabriel didn't mention slaughtering little girls as a methodology from the infinite creator. Return to the light neo-generation of islam. Unite the monotheistic currents of gnostic truthers, sufi gnostics, jesus was gnostic judaistic. The underclass are the chosen people of God. THis encompasses all cultures and countries and religions. We are one.

  • Sufi Islam and the spiritual understanding of Allah All Mighty is a true gift and blessing from our creator. I feel so blessed to understand this glorious path. Sufism has the power of delivering the Holy Quran to everyone in the world. Followers of traditional Islam are not wrong, they are merely distracted with worldly law & tradition. Some of them are missing the true ethos of monotheism.

  • Man, that's a great comment. It's not just Islam that has become fixated on the worldly power structure.

I thank you for your positivity and reinforcing that there is only ONE above us.

  • The Sufis have introduced many innovations into Islam in the name of Tasawwuf and have justified such practises by fabricated statements and unsound arguments.

  • Rumi wrote that he could not define himself in the frame of any religion, he was

    neither a Hindu, nor a Christian or a Jew, he was neither from the East, nor from the West;

Unity was his only goal and he would think and talk of Unity only

  • well sufism belongs to all, but that quote from rumi is regarded by all scholars to be wrong, and false, i know because my family and i belong to the naqshbandi, and qadiri orders, and my father is a sheikh

  • Sufism stifled the thinking process in the Muslim Ummah by spreading passiveness, carelessness, ignorance, and superficial thinking among the Muslims. The Sufi philosophy changed the thinking of Muslims to a one based on Fatalism which essentially ignores the cause-effect relationship that Allah (to whom belong all perfection) established in the universe.

  • Concepts such as depending upon others, laziness in thinking, and sanctification of certain personalities, in addition to the emergence of personal cults, are only a few of the negative impacts of Sufism, all of which ultimately resulted in the stagnation of Muslim thought.

  • Some muslim I'm talking to claims that Sufism is the root of all Isma's evil. Is he right or wrong? I was under the impression that Sufism was moderate Islam, not fundementalist. Would any mussulmen in the audience care to explain?

  • wrong. he's wrong. they don't like us for many reasons, it's so sad all the lack of unity within Islam. the music, the allowing of women to preach, the speaking of wine and love (which they dont understand are allusions and symbols of ecstasy and divinity) many religious, cleric-taught muslims will tell you, Sufism is against Islam. Other more mystical, spiritual Muslims, will say, in God, be in good grace, as Sufi, Shia, Sunni, it doesn't matter. Its the humming and devotion that keeps me Sufi

  • Wrong ...

  • holy crap!she doesn't know what she is talking about. it is DANGEROUS for a layman to talk about sufism.

  • Plz read Quran and Rumi's teaching and u will see the difference.Rumi's teachings are different from the teachings of Holy Quran. If teachings are different so sufism can't be part of Islam. Rumi talks only of LOVE for divine and how to be ONE with divine in this very life time. Rumi's God is merciful and doesn't judge nor will put humans to hell if they disobey God. Rumi doen't talk abt judgement . This is my personal opinion based on limited human knowledge.

  • Real Sufism is not divided from Islam. Sufism is a way of living Islam perfectly.

Mawlana Jalaluddin RUMI was a Muslim and he was coming from ancestry of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him).

Rumi says; "I'm the slave of Quran as long as live and I'm the dust of the foot of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him)".

If someone is a sufi who doesn't follow Islam, that's not sufism. Sufism is something in Islam.

    Thx :)

  • NO poetry is better than the Quran... which literature can beat it...

  • Sufism means Bida'a...

  • 'mistical dream'. If she really had this mistical dream, she would know to pursue islam to purely and totally understand sufism.

Sufism exhists because it was meant to attract poeple into Islam. teach islam in a more easy to understand, for the average person, towards islam.

sillyness. Sillyness and fake. She has only very little understanding of sufism. but again anyone can read poetry.

  • Dear All,

If Sufism is not Islam---then Islam is skull without mind---body without heart! Without Sufism/mysticism world is nothing but lunatic asylum!

Those who don't love Sufism, does not know higher plans of consciousness! Those who do nothing of Sufism...know nothing of prophetical essence!

  • Sufism is not a philosophy, its a love affair with god

  • yup yup

  • sufi has got nothing do with Islam, sufi is not Islam they are deviant sects...

their philosophy are adopted from and much similar to budhism and hinduism....

dont u ever dare to claim youre muslim...

  • And may I ask you, where did you read, Sufi is not Islam and that they are deviant sects?

When you don't know about anything, why do you talk and comment about such things!

    Religious Fanatics.

  • Dear Mr. Shah

I dont know what mr. Kupia is saying and you as well.

Why not you enlight us from Quran and Hadith that Sufism and its rituals are purely acceptable and valid.

    Thank you

  • sufi means "awakened". those who were known sufi saints were the awakened people.they came to awake the human from their supersitions and man made rituals which people follow on the name of religiion .those who got initiated by them were turned introworld. and forgot rest of the world. and that what people doing nowdays. just following outer ways. as rest of the world is doing on name of religion.........

  • sufism is pre islamic faith . it is great . all muslims should follow that .

  • Just as Islam means "Submission" and goes back to the beginning of Creation, so does Sufism. This woman is deluded. She had a "mystical dream about Jalaluddin Rumi" -- no, I don't think so. She read some poetry that she thought was "neat" and rather than truly tame her nafs like the REAL SUFIS by taking on the WHOLE PATH, she has taken the easy route -- bits of meditation (dhikr) but adopt Islam? Oh no, no, no...that would be some REAL work and besides, most people don't like Islam. FAKE.

  • i couldn't agree with you more. She has not grasped/understood the full meaning of sufism. FAKE is the perfect word here for petrova. My parents both are muslim and know a lot of sufism, as they were bought up in pakistan, and they would agree with some things she has said. as in some meaning og the poetry. However she has totally misunderstood the whole concenpt. Sufism is ALL ABOUT ONE GOD. and finding your path towards it in islam.

  • OoH Good channel...

  • Those who call themselves Sufis are usually not that.

  • she is feeding her ego

  • because wahabism started in 16th century, it is biddah. Sufism's roots goes directly to the Prophet, Peace be upon Him.

  • ibn taymiyyah lived in the 16th century? you sufis never make sense. sufis are heretics and sheikh muhammed ibn abdul wahab killed them in saudi arabia.

  • Reply to appropriate commenter please. Your reply has no link with mine. Mr. Wahab killed sufism in Saudi Arabia. Yes you are very right. Saudi Arabia is the land where many sufis were killed. Even no prophet liked to stay in Arabia due to apparent disrepect for the pious people. This loss happens only in Arabia. Even idiots tried to destroy Prophet's tomb in Madinah but the wars were imposed on them for this 'kind of Islam'. Thanks

  • without shariyat there is not tariqat

    she is talking bullshit

    i deserves good beating

    is she stupid???

    sufism is islam

    she is ignorant fool

  • This lady doesn't know what she's talking about. There is no Sufism without Islam.

  • Exactly.

  • "Exactly" was intended to be a response to WayOfTheSufis comment. There is no Sufism without Islam.

  • When monotheists understand why they dismiss all the other possible gods, they will understand why I dismiss theirs.

  • He said to Hazrat Omar and Hazrat Ali(may peace be upon on both) that one day they'll meet him.

Prophet(s.a.w) asked Hazrat Omar and Hazrat Ali to give his last belongings(including cloak, khirka, sacred staff etc) to him and to say to him to pray to Allah for his Ummat i.e Muslims (one who has complete faith). This shows the status of a Friend of Allah. My dear divine light i.e Tasawwuf is from Islam but Islam is not from Tasawwuf.

Tasawwuf without following the final word of Alighty is nothing.

  • there cannot be a defination of Sufism, because sufism is a stage , a height of love.

when with the will of Almighty Allah, a person a believer ofcourse attains such a hight that he actually becomes a Friend to Allah Subhanawa Ta'ala, Read about Hazrat Owais Qarni (R.A) (in YEMEN), a Companion of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). He never met the Prophet(s.a.w) but Prophet knew him and he Knew the Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w).

  • You're right.

  • Sufism actually "Tasawwuf" without Islam and love for Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w), his traditions and teachings and love for all creation cannot be sufism.

Sufism without final word of God "ISLAM" is like a candle without light.

A candle which cannot enlight cannot be a candle.

    PEACE.

    Syed Abdul Aziz Chishty.

  • According to your religion, I will never reach your heaven. According to mine, if you are in peace, you are already at my heaven. Who's god is more accepting?

    I have no religion.

  • If you open the smalest particle, you will find a shining Sun inside it...Rumi

  • I do not know much of Sufism and I wonder how one could be a Buddhist Sufi, as she says, when Buddhism is non theistic. Perhaps someone can explain this. Thank you in advance to those who respond.

  • google for "buddhism sufism" and you'll find lots of articles on this topic

  • of course you can be a sufi without being a muslim. there's no laws or rules on people's personal spirituality. religion evolves...

  • To be a sufi you have to be a muslim. Sufism is a view of the creator and his creation from a spiritual / Philosophical Islamic point of view. If you lack the Islamic foundation the whole context of his poetry is missed.

  • What I admire about Rumi is that, at his last stages of his life, he realized that reality is way beyond one particular religion. He went beyond the differences and said that everything is part of one oneness and we will all go back to it. He says "Where are you? where are you? Those who went to mecca and madina to seek God. Come, come the beloved is right here within you." Rumi and Mohammad were Geniuses who had a great deal of observation abilities.

  • people have very misunderstanding of sufism like it a hippie religion of love and people read Hazrat Rumi misinterpeted his work his one who is intimate with Allah so unless open your heart to Allah how can you find him. Sufism is soul of islam you can not follow tariqa the sufi path without following shariah (law of islam). All sufi paths trac to the Great sufi Shaikh Abdur Qadir Gilani and if i can not come from hs silasah it is not legit.

  • Sufis are spiritual guides for the Islamic science of Tasawuf(Purification of the heart). It binds the believe in the one Creator(Tawheed) and Divine Laws(Fiqh) together.

  • interesting interview

  • rumi said all religions are from God.she is lying...he does not say it...

  • The man speaking, and the woman know very little or nothing about Islam and Tasawwuf.

Also, Hazrat Jalaluddin (RA) probably didn't come to her in a dream. She is probably lying in order to make money. Or she just saw Satan, who was trying to trick her. She is crazy, or just ignorant.

She picks and chooses her translations, or completely fabricates the poem, to make it sound very bad.

May Allah Guide them to the right path. Ameen.

  • "I am the servant of the Qur'an as long as I have life. I am the dust on the path of Muhammad, the Chosen one. If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings, I am quit of him and outraged by these words."

    -Rumi's Quatrain No. 1173

    Islam is the Truth!

One cannot practice Tasawwuf (So called Sufism in the west) unless he/she believes in Allah, is a follower of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) (who is the greatest of all creation), and believes in the teachings of Islam.

    Nuff said :)

  • Now I know why people don't like Islam and I don't blame them. You so called Muslims are so narrow minded and ignorant about Islam and Sufism and other few billion non Muslim people that live in this world that I am truly disgusted with you. God loves everyone who conveys love, peace and respect regardless of their religion or belief. Rumi is beyond religion. He didn't belong to Islam or another religion but he was part of all religions.

  • You make it seem as if you know Rumi, yet this comment shows that youre as ignorant as the Ones you are condeming....True enlighten Ones doesnt look at the behaviour/speech of others, but look within...if you dont like narrowmindness, then make sure that you, yourself are open-minded...because your words are saying otherwise...

Mohammad Jalalludin Rumi lives in the hearts who seeks to become closer to The Divine

  • That was not true at all don't interpt my path or the path one who is intimate with Allah he was a muslim.

  • She seems like a flake but she gave her life to this endeavour. You guys need to read more about "Rumi" and his philosophy. It is very obvious that you guys have no clue about Sufism and Rumi. Please don't comment on things that you don't know about.

  • I think you are an ignorant who has no clue about anything let alone Sufism. Ignorant people like you give a bad impression to people like you about religion. You are a narrow minded Satan who just wants to spread hate. Shame on you, shame on your religion, shame on your faith.
