  • It what are you gonna do with ir

  • Yes horse slaughter does make jobs and it can be took too far. But people cant afford to be payingto have the vet put down there horses.this is how we end up with horses out in the wild. If you have an old horse and you cnt afford to uthenize

  • well put extremerodeocowboy thats excactly it

  • They are having a problem with people not feeding them and letting them go into the wild which make more scarce for natural wild game.

  • @extremerodeocowboy I really think that the solution to the problem would not be to slaughter the horses and put them into feed lots for slaughter. I think that if Responsible pet owners cant care for their horses they need to EUTHANIZE them just like you would do for your cat or dog. I am sure the Big Game in Montana is plentiful enough for EVERYONE and if not we have plenty of deer in Kansas you can come happily shoot. If people wouldnt kill all the mountain lions and wolves in Montana.

  • I'm in North Dakota facing the same Demons on our Government offices. How people can think that slaughter is a valid "solution" to starving or unwanted horses is beyond me. With gas prices, and auction fees, it's cheaper to have a vet euth. a horse if it can't be helped any longer. For God's sake, give it some dignity in the end. We have 6 horses, with another 10 or so on the way from owners that can no longer care for them. There are humane answers to all of this.

  • i love montana! humanity lol its how they put food on their table. i love horses and all but hey i love cows and chicken too its all the same. just because someone is raising horses for slaughter does not make them a murderer and inhuman its just another chicken ranch or cattle house but its horses. beautiful shots though!

  • i sleep knowing that horses are safe. if you people would stop and think, you might realize that u people are the ones hurting the horses!!!NOT HELPING!!!!!!!

  • Yes, How DO you sleep?????

  • Shame on you Brian. This will haunt you.

  • Wow! Great video.

  • Great video, well done.

  • to whom it may concern due to the fact that slaughter houses have shut down we have sarving horses. i can see not wanting to put down a young horse off the track or something but old horses are staving because people cant afford to have them put down and buried.

  • @zpr01, until it can be done right and people aren't greedy anymore it shouldn't be happening. Montana isn't even the horse state of the US and they're having the most problems?! I don't think so. There are just SOOOO many pro slaughter people there that want to make money and create more jobs. PLEASE!

  • Thank you for this video. VETO HB 418!!!!

  • Great Video. Please call Montana's Governor today and ask him to VETO HB 418. 406-444-3111.

  • Sandy thank you. The ignorance of people just shows the loss of humanity in this world. One must ask oneself where is the humanity in some of the comments you have received? Obviously clouded by their ignorance or there own greed and welfare. Wake up people humans are not the only creatures created by god!

  • revolution7581, you are a very rude, close minded and bitter sounding person for someone so young.

Sandy, Thank you for making this video.

  • By the way, the only thing that makes people like me nervous is when dumbasses like you get the ACLU involved, or crap did I give you an idea??

  • Thank you for this video. The pro slaughters are getting nervous.

  • Those negative comments have no merit. It is only their greed that is talking. Keep your head up and be proud of all that you have done for the horses.

  • Sandy, keep up the good work fighting for the horses! There will always be those who don't do their homework first before adding their two cents.

  • ranchgal, you need to do some more research.

Sandy thank you for showing what Montana may become if the Governor does not veto HB 418!

  • I Agree with ranchgal17!

YOU PEOPLE MADE IT WORSE ON HORSES AND ARE 2 BLIND 2 SEE IT!!!!

or you just DON'T CARE ABOUT HORSES AT ALL!!!!!

  • Montana should be ashamed. Governor do the right thing and veto that bill!

  • I agree it's beautiful.

  • Beautiful

  • I just can't get over how moving this video is.

  • Beautiful scenery, nice work Sandy.

  • What a moving video! Please share this with all your friends. Urge them to call the Montana governor, ASAP. Horse slaughter is a bad idea on so many levels, in so many ways.

  • If pro slaughter folks were smart they would realize a live horse is worth more. Being a live horse generates sells and profits from Trailers,Tack,Feeds,Park Permits,Vets,Training,Schools,Police usage, carrige rides,Therapy, and so much more. Rewarding irresponsible people make foreigners rich ignoring American laws and promoting abuse and neglect to animals.

  • Yes, but they can just go out and breed more. They are selfish and don't care about the rest of the industry.

  • Montanta has a few ignorant people such as the cattle association. boycott there products since they are fighting us on horse slaughter. Recently MT is working with a Korean investor to open a feedlot/cattle processing plant it will cater to the So.Koreans. The remains and blood will stay on MT lands. Its sad elected officals soldout the will of the Majority of Americans and favor ignorant irresponsible people.

  • This video says it all, how could any state sink so low..... Sad.... beyond sad..... totally unacceptable. This madness must be stopped.

  • What happened to humane euthanasia. If people can't afford $200 to humanely euthanizing a horse, they shouldn't have one in the first place. This is just the tip of the iceberg because the irresponsibility from all parts is just abominable.

  • Right, let them starve, turn them loose in the sticks. The fact is, there aren't enough horse lovers in the world to care for surplus horses, otherwise all the "Equine Rescue" places would be swimming in money, hay and horses. If you people are willing to put down your own money to take responsibility, fine. If not, then let the grownups build what is necessary.

  • Ever heard of humane euthanasia? If people cannot afford $200 to humanely euthanize their horse, they shouldn't have one in the first place. This is just the tip of the iceberg--no one wants to take responsibility for anything.

  • Sure I have...but ever heard of disposing of a thousand pounds of dead horse? Hundreds or even thousands of times? Put the materials to use, for cryingoutloud.

  • Then euthanize them humanely, then eat their carcass! All beings deserves to be treated with compassion. What makes you think you are so much more special than other sentient beings?

  • You can't eat an animal that has been euthanized with chemicals. In fact, you don't want to eat American horses anyway, because they have NOT been raised for food. They are full of all sorts of drugs that are FORBIDDEN for use on food animals.

  • Then euthanize them humanely, then eat their carcass! was a sarcastic way of saying that if one creates garbage they have the obligation to do away with it, and horses should not pay with their lives for people's lacks of responsibility, and consideration.

  • Thank you for the clarification. I didn't think the comment fit in with your earlier one, but didn't suspect sarcasm.

  • You don't want to eat them (see my earlier note below).

Anyway, did you know that the number of horses slaughtered each year (which is COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON THE DEMAND of Europeans for their meat, NOT THE SUPPLY OF "SURPLUS" HORSES) is only about 10% of the number of horses that die every year for whatever reason? So, disposal of 10% more carcasses should not be exactly an insurmountable problem.

  • Awesome and powerful . Pray the horses can be spared from this horrible cruelty. Already wolves and bison are being killed. What atrocities. Where is compassion in MT ?

  • They wont get it done I promise you that. Doubt me? Don't. Just watch the news within the next week.

  • BOYCOTT BEEF...it's what's been killing BISON, WOLVES, ELK, with that hideous brucellosis myth, and now the poor horses will suffer there own hidden hell.

Poor Montana, never to be the same. Governor B.S. lied thru his teeth about the bison and what he would do to help them, to get in office, and has since been bought and paid for, I am sure it will be the same for the horses. Pray for them, and the bison, wolves, and everything else that dies in the BLUE SKY, RED SNOW state!!!

  • This is an awesome video and should be sent to everyone you know. The video is only partial truth, imho, as Montana and it's BLUE skies, have actually had RED snow for years with the buffalo slaughter that goes on out there. I gave up on MONTANA and it's RED snow years ago, it is obviously owned by it's corporate BEEF mongers, and the legislative process in this state is beyond anything I have ever encountered! You want to save wildlife and horses??

  • Sandy thank you for bringing to light this horrendous act that this (once) beautiful state is attempting to embark upon. Shame on you Montana and the elected officials that support this bill.

    Marie

  • I sent it to the Governor this morning! Thank you.

  • Oh Big Ski Big Ski Where Horses Go to Die! Tell me that you fell asleep when you laid your weary head. But the horses that you raised are all not dead. Please wake up big sky and tell me its not so.You wont kill any horses today or tomorrow.Oh Big sky Big sky please listen to my words,Dont kill any horses from your precious herds.

  • Montana has again showed it's lack of respect for animals-wildlife and domestic.

I live in western MT and feel sorrow that this state is a national killing field. SHAME ON MONTANA

  • Sandy, I watched this threw tears, thank you. It is bearutiful, I am furious over Shelby Feedlot. Mt..and now a horse slaughter plant...Montana will never be the same for me if more horse abuse is allowed ...For our horses...

    Lin

  • Thank you for this video. We in the anti horse slaughter movement are out in force and are working hard to spread the word about this event in Montana

  • A very beautiful and emotional video. I for one have always wanted to visit but now, I won't. I will never go to any State the supports the death of a noble animal. This history of America was written from the back of a horse and this is not how we should thank them. Same on those who think this is the answer.

  • Such a nice & appropriate video. I am calling Governor Brian Schweitzer today. To ask him to VETO HB 418. If you want to do the same, you can call him @ (406) 444-3111

  • Great video.Always wanted to visit, but not now.Its not Just a horse.if you to think its just a horse;then you want understand phrases like Just a promise;Just a sunrise.Lots of hours passed with the company of just a horse.

Just a horse brings out the better person in me.For folks like me it not just a horse;but all hope and dreams of the furture.hope that someday they understand that it not just a horse, but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being just a woman.

  • I will not visit Montana or buy any products from Montana or any state that endorses the slaughter of American horses. What a disgrace it would be if Gov. Schweitzer signs this ill considered legislation into law. I have contacted the Governor's office about vetoing HB 418 and hope that others will do the same. We are the voice of the horses and they deserve our help.

  • Great video with a very important message! We all need to contact Gov. Schweitzer to veto HB 418. Count me in with the group that will NOT visit Montana if there's a slaughter house for horses.

  • Thank you. Well done. I love Montana but maybe not so much anymore if they start slaughtering our horses.

  • Beautifully done...so moving. Thank you for taking the time to produce this and for your help in supporting horses.

  • Thank you for the production of this video and authoring the text...a very poignant message, indeed. Please make your calls to the governor, today. Put Butcher in his place...!

  • Thank you for making this video. I had always hoped to visit Montana, but now I would never do that. A beautiful state that is being tarnished with blood. Many of my friends have said the same. So very sad.

  • Poignant video--thank you for making it. PLEASE, EVERYONE, call Governor Brian Schweitzer, and PROTEST--tell him that this bill may NOT become law:

    (406) 444-3111.

Thank you, and God save our horses.

  • Another great video!!!!I hope everyone will contact the Montana governor,
