um do macs not have a CUT shortcut. ive never had need for it on my limited mac usage so i dont know if it exists

Another option could be to command x to cut the paragraph, and then command v to paste it into place. Only two actions, could be another option

there's an even easier way to re-order your text, just highlight either section and hold the mouse button onto the text until it becomes a normal arrow again, then move the cursor to the position you want the selected text to be, then release the mouse button again. use the option key to copy instead...
