@VioletBob It takes a LONG time for hair to grow as long as women typically wear their hair. The one time I chopped off my hair, people thought I was a boy whenever I wore a baggy shirt. However, a girl with extremely long hair that gets in her way will be more than happy to get a few inches off. Most girls grow attached to their hair because it frames their face, makes them look/feel beautiful, etc.
