Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Back in the 80s I was a guitar player in TSA, Polish heavy metal band I joined them in '84, and my first tour with them was..., opening for Nazareth! The whole week of sharing the stadiums and sport arenas with these guys during their Polish tour, it was like a dream Also we're on the same bus, and we had meals together Non of us spoke English but I kept pestering them with questions about Deep Purple & AC/DC through our translator More about it in my bio TSA is still around by the way
I seen them in 1977 in Fort Worth, Texas. They opened for Aerosmith. I had never seen them live and was blown away. I think I counted them say now your messing with a son of bitch 36 times. If memory serves me correct.
It was the best concert in 1977 hands down, that year!

@Hawkmoon51 If you were talking to me, I am talking Brian Johnson, listen to Brian before AC/DC with Geordie, and when he first joined AC/DC, his vocals is very similar to this. More along the lines in Geordie than AC/DC. I know he was not young when he joined AC/DC.
@Olekrok Reminds me a lot of a young Brian Johnson of AC/DC, good stuff, badass song, badass band. IMO Nazareth are very underrated, and have more hit songs then people thinks
Nazareth was the first of many, many concerts I've been to. I saw them in about 1977 at the city auditorium in Beaumont, Texas on the Hair of the Dog promo tour. I thought the roof was gonna come down, I was in the balcony, and I didn't even care. They were as energetic as a band can be. I've played electric guitar for 45 years and I've yet to feel the volume that they were pushing. EPIC
Nobody sings like him!!!!!!! one the best bands, they came Mexico City a few years ago to play in a little park in one of the poorest city areas almost for free and like a real professionals they play like in this vid, simple amazing, It´s Snaz my favorite live album ever, hats from Mexico city
Was at this show and I remember living in Houston back in the day with all the beautiful women in that city. Made going to concerts like this one just awesome.
hey i was there im searchin for this vid .my and my brother was there at sam houston coliseum ,krokus was the openin act, i wont forget those years......i miss my father....
@JakeMiller21 to use the 'more cowbell' reference, a video has to have at least 1 of 3 things, Blue Oyster Cult, Christopher Walken, or at least Some cowbell.
Played too fast for me; also too theatrical. This version also lacks the punch of the studio version. ...more cowbell, that's funny but that's part of what makes this song distinctive, you know it as soon as it starts playing.
@AmericanPowerBase whom do you mean "they all"? I only stated that my parents were strict, like most parents back then, unlike today. Today's parents don't dare touch their own kids or they will be arrested for child abuse. Sure enough my brother would rough me up, but only to show me how I could take care of myself in a fight if I had too.
I certainly Agree about Nazareth. A sure influence to a lot of bands: Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, etc. I seen them on the same tour with Deep Purple in 1976 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Tommy Bolin was with Deep Purple at the time. Nazareth one of the greats.................
I remember like it was yesterday 1977 when the band I was with called Revenge played this song ( I was 16 ) at a school assembly right before Christmas. The faculty practically lost their minds, killing power and the works. Almost had riot conditions in small town Ohio. Sux their drummer died in route from Huntington, WV to my hometown of Portsmouth, OH!!!
Help me get the word out!!! Nazareth is releasing a new album April 18 will be called "Big Dogz"!!! Please don't spam this the fans deserve to know!!!
Strange. I played this song on guitar tonight. Have not touched my guitars in a year and a half. Have not played this song in maybe 10 years. I figured it back out in 15 minutes. The guitar is a funny thing, what you learn stays with you and every time you pick it up you learn something new. I love this band. Anyone here on u-tube make the 1977 Monsters of rock with these guys? They blew the other bands away.I saw them at the Milwaukee Monsters of Rock at County Stadium!! What a great show!!!
i'm working with nazareth for the moment for the russian leg of their current tour as an interpreter. they are so much fun! true people, true professionals, true rock! blessing each and every second of staying with them. my deepest respect!
@jrmrinaz the tour is over now... still iwas really honored to having had the possibility to be the part of all that. indeed, Nazareth are gonna tour in september again so i'm looking forward to wotking with them once again.
@mitchhak2 You are absolutely wrong. For a quick example to everyone on this site; Nazareth: Madelaine, No Mean City, Ship of Dreams, Place in Your Heart, Fool About You, Miss Missery, The King Is dead, Fat Man, All the Kings Horses, Revenge is Sweet, Moonlight Eyes, Expect No Mercy, sad song, Thinkin Mans Nightmare, Where Are You Now.
@hermygagala yeah name all their songs....good one, now i guess itll be my turn to name all the Gunners' songs right? okay: Don't Cry, Sweet Child O' Mine, Welcome to The Jungle, Locomotive, Rocket Queen, November Rain, The Garden, Patience, One in A Million, HAIR OF THE DOG, Coma, Civil War, Yesterdays, Estranged, and Breakdown. i'm thinking your point was to show how versatile his vocals were...so a few these will show his many voices, if that's what ya wanted ahahhahahahahahahha
@mitchhak2 Dude what I wrote isn't even close to all Nazareth's songs. They have 300+ if you take all the rarities into account and about 230 just off of albums. Along with Dans Solo albums which have 25 songs altogether. So Dans solo work along with Nazareths rare and fairly well known/ album material would most likely be 300+. I haven't bothered to count them yet.
@mitchhak2 his vocals?? let me explain this to you: guns n roses has just one singer!! this is the hapiest day of your life! you figured it out yeeeey! -.-
@Patriot0124 Yep Naz influenced acdc. Dan is the best vocalist ever. He has a versatility that is unbelieveable I have listened to Naz so much all of their songs; I still can't believe that one singer by himself can be that talented and have that much versatility/ vocal range. Dan is the most versatile singer ever. Half the time I can't believe that it is actually him singing because his voice sounds so different from song to song. Listen to all 21 albums and you'll understand what I mean.
Oh no he didn't just pull out a bagpipe. Such a Spinal Tap moment. Reminds me of Yo La Tengo video fir the song sugarcube (which was clearly inspired by Spinal Tap). To paraphrase from the video "do you think Mr. Dam macafferty got an all access back stage laminate by not learning to play the bagpipes or sample the playing of bagpipes!". Classic!
@LDZPLEN He can do a lot of other songs that are very soft and you can't hear a hint of smoking even though he is a heavy smoker. The songs Madelaine, Sad song, Country Girl. You should check out some more of their stuff I would suggest starting off with the albums; Hair of the Dog, No Mean City, Expect No Mercy, Play N the Game, Nazareth (debut album of the same name). Give em a chance I love all of their albums but these are just to start off with they are my favorite band of all time.
Love it. Those are the days when people didn't care what the band looked like as long as they kicked ass. Ugly bastards playing cool music. Never happen again. Ha.
@moetheman100 Well, acctually it's the other way around.Naz was first algun its from 1971.Dont know if someone influenced someone here...cause the screaming stile was already going on .. From the blues...Janis,Little Richard and lots of others blues influenced singers...like John Fogherty. But Dan take it to another level for shure. And he did it before Brian, even considering Geordie.Peace!
@beroth77 Nazareth started as the Shadettes in 1961 and changed their name to Nazareth in 1968; so technically speaking Nazareth started 12 years before acdc and this means 12 years before Bon Scott. Nazareth put out 4 albums before ACDC even formed and 5 by the time ACDC put out one. Nazareth are the true pioneers. They were highly influential of ACDC even the Bon Scott era and that is obvious by the sound.
@hermygagala i Was introduced to Narazreth through Razamanaz. No going back ever since hehe
,if you wanna know the more hard rock stile I would recomend: Razamanaz than :(73)
Hair of the dog(75)
Than:
Loud'n'Proud(73)
Expect no Mercy(77)
No Mean City(78)
and Snaz(81 LIVE)...to see what Dan is cabable of...Live."Cinema"(86) its the only i think its really good from the 80"s(studio albuns).Wait ,2xS have some good ones too.Take some time and listen...its worthy.Peace!
@hermygagala Yes man i'm a Naz fan since 1992!I Know their history too.At the time there was not so much material here in Brazil at least. But i found some rarities at the time too.But now with youtube and all the internet suport is amazing im findind so many live footage very nice.Still didn't find any video from the Hair of the Dog tour...wanted to see these album Live at the time.About ac/dc you're tottaly right,i like them, but Naz its way better versatile.Dan is untoutchable...no one close
@beroth77 So Naz is your favourite band as well? That is awesome!!! I love them so much; I can't get enough of them and I listen to them constantly, as often as I can. I agree Dan McCafferty's voice is untouchable and no one will ever ever match his versatility!!! Absolutely correct no one close. Nazareth is the best band to ever walk the face of the Earth.
@beroth77 He did it before Bon Scott as well. It is almost undeniably true that Nazareth influenced even the Bon Scott era of acdc, it is evident in the sound and some guitar riffs. Even though Nazareth's were and are always better.
I love this fucking song!!!! I was 5 or 6 years old when my older brother had bought their album. He could only play it while my parents were out of the house, which meant my parents did not know he had it. Well one day while I was walking through the house, I recited the main chorus and I don't remember too much after that, cause my Mom beat the crap out of me and then I got it again when my Dad got home. Still love the song.
@vetteking2 its probably more about spreading the music of nazareth than it is not being original. a quick google of these guys and i found they have originals both as a band and individually. the nazareth thing is probably easier to get exposure with.... im gonna go check em out if they come by my way... ive seen nazareth live a few times and they honestly were nothing spectacular, it looks like these guys do as good a job....

Classic!

he sound like a heavy smoker, kicks ass anyway
LDZPLEN 1 year ago

Ha.

moetheman100 1 year ago
@moetheman100 Well, acctually it's the other way around.Naz was first algun its from 1971.Dont know if someone influenced someone here...cause the screaming stile was already going on .. From the blues...Janis,Little Richard and lots of others blues influenced singers...like John Fogherty. But Dan take it to another level for shure. And he did it before Brian, even considering Geordie.Peace!
beroth77 1 year ago
@beroth77 Nazareth started as the Shadettes in 1961 and changed their name to Nazareth in 1968; so technically speaking Nazareth started 12 years before acdc and this means 12 years before Bon Scott. Nazareth put out 4 albums before ACDC even formed and 5 by the time ACDC put out one. Nazareth are the true pioneers. They were highly influential of ACDC even the Bon Scott era and that is obvious by the sound.

@hermygagala Yes man i'm a Naz fan since 1992!I Know their history too.At the time there was not so much material here in Brazil at least. But i found some rarities at the time too.But now with youtube and all the internet suport is amazing im findind so many live footage very nice.Still didn't find any video from the Hair of the Dog tour...wanted to see these album Live at the time.About ac/dc you're tottaly right,i like them, but Naz its way better versatile.Dan is untoutchable...no one close
beroth77 1 year ago
@beroth77 So Naz is your favourite band as well? That is awesome!!! I love them so much; I can't get enough of them and I listen to them constantly, as often as I can. I agree Dan McCafferty's voice is untouchable and no one will ever ever match his versatility!!! Absolutely correct no one close. Nazareth is the best band to ever walk the face of the Earth.
hermygagala 1 year ago

@ddbarnes11 It's probably Axel Rose who doesn't have a band anymore and no possibility of ever doing another Naz cover tune.

@ kingshorsesbc: are freaking kidding me???? I cannot STAND cover bands. Be real, be original or stay home.
vetteking2 1 year ago
@vetteking2 its probably more about spreading the music of nazareth than it is not being original. a quick google of these guys and i found they have originals both as a band and individually. the nazareth thing is probably easier to get exposure with.... im gonna go check em out if they come by my way... ive seen nazareth live a few times and they honestly were nothing spectacular, it looks like these guys do as good a job....
