Hey, for all the people giving her guff. "Crossplay" is not something new. She wanted to cosplay Link because she did; no more no less. Girls play this game as the hero who save the day, just as us guys do. If she wanted to cosplay as Link and be the Hero of Time then more power to her; he's a bamf. Very few video games feature female heroines at all, let alone ones who are amazing as found here (except for in Metroid Prime). Pro cosplay tip: Link is young; girls make better Links anyway!!

They probably had no idea the game would take off and become so popular, so now they are stuck with the name, and I'm pretty sure if it was called "The Legend of Link" that Zelda would be out of the picture by now.

Conclusion: It's the name that's keeping Zelda, not the other way around.
