Excellent commercials from Peugeot as always. You can see the older one from 1995 too. If only they spent a little more time re-doing their driver/passenger security as even a 1992 Mondeo performs better in a crash. Yeah but the Mondeo is bound to crash as it's handling is rubbish T.T. Anyways Great car, Great commercial, end of story.

Beautiful song and this advert will stay in my memory for the rest of my life. 0:53 is the best part. The woman has a flashback of her partner saving her all those years ago and she looks away realising that she is with her first and only true love. It's a shame that these days everyone always has affairs because they think that it's natural but that's so far from the truth. Sometimes your soulmate is right in front of you but you can't always see it.

The 406 was probably the last decent Peugeot and the adverts were great, still memorable. What the hell has happened since? The cars look like godawful shite, are awful to drive and the adverts are all that 'drive sexy' bollocks. Come on Peugeot.....

The Daily Telegraph once wrote that all the car companies kept their own 406 as a standard to aim for. Luc Besson certainly liked it. Anyway, the 205, 306, 405 and 406 were all drawn by Pininfarina (yeah, the same Pininfarina Ferrari uses: cf 406 coupé & 456GT), then Peugeot decided they wanted to draw their own cars. Seems the effort need to do that was at the expense of the car's soul.

This advert is only a minute long, but like many who have commented, it is so powerful it has remained in my memories. Its nice to see passion excelling just wanting to market a car, adverts like this simply arn't made anymore.

Ultimately, the peugeot 406 is a legend because of this advert and the 1995 one featuring m people. These adverts showed how passionate peugeot was about the 406, the cinematography was amazing the choice of song and the storyline were so amazing that it went skin deep, which is why so many people remember it. The advert basically said you didn't have to buy a 3 series ect. to show how great you were, because buying the 406 and being modest was being true to yourself. No other car was the same!

Despite being a great ad overall, there are a number of things I don't understand.

The overall message is: 'Stand or fall/run or fight'....'you know who you are' (i.e which type of person you are: because you dealt with adversity in your life like this...

The shark story clearly articulates this theme and is therefore the strongest part of the advert by far, but what do the other parts really say on this?
