This remake was so much better than the original. I've been watching it off and on since I was 8 and I'm still not tired of it. Awesome soundtrack too.
The remake of Dawn of The Dead while GOOD is nothing compared to THIS remake of NOTLD. This remake retains it's creepy edge by keeping more to the vision of Romero's slow moving zombies - which in my opinion, MUCH scarier than the marathon sprinters of the DOTD remake. Fast moving zombies just look more like rabid animals than the undead.

City environment provides for a lot of hiding places and resources, but also brings hundreds/thousands of undead to swarm you; rural areas makes for more survivability, but definitely requires you to be more aware of how limited your resources are.
It is safe to dont stop moving during an outbreak. Preferrably you should have a vehicle, supplies, weapons, and you shouldnt stay in one place. You should keep driving,stopping ONLY for fuel or supplies.

The reason that I don't care for this version is it lacks a clear voice. The first version was packed with clear and coherient social commentary on race relations in the late 1960s.
This version only carries a light and overstated appeal to the running theme of all of the dead movies which is that humanity is it's own greatest threat. Plus the ending of this version makes absolutely no sense to me.
I don't understand the point of it. First she goes outside and is disgusted by the lack of humanity and then she shoots the guy in the head. I also don't like how Bed is portrayed in this version.

actual diary of the dead is not a part of night, dawn, day, land series.Romero personaly said that it wasn't in the context. it's completly Separate. it's a completly diffrent world, apart from the zombies. and if you have watched land of the dead it has an introduction in black and white. it's a news report. romero said the intro was a flash back to the 60's when the zombie crisis first started. so actualy it is in some sort of chroligical order.

In the Romero-Universe, you either have to get bit, or die "without" serious head trauma

well for one the virus or whatever turned them into zombies could be like airborne and went through his wound after his demise and turned him into one.

no if you wacth the orginal moive a probe goes to venus something goes wrong, has a weried radition to it, so when ever someone dies, for any reason. they become zombies, that was the thing of the moive

The reason that I don't care for this version is it lacks a clear voice. The first version was packed with clear and coherient social commentary on race relations in the late 1960s.
This version only carries a light and overstated appeal to the running theme of all of the dead movies which is that humanity is it's own greatest threat. Plus the ending of this version makes absolutely no sense to me.

I don't understand the point of it. First she goes outside and is disgusted by the lack of humanity and then she shoots the guy in the head. I also don't like how Bed is portrayed in this version.

i'm going guess you meant Ben not Bed. what was wrong with Ben? I thought the best thing about this movie was tony todd. the reason she shot the dude at the end was to emphasize what she said before hand, "their us, were them and their us." which to say were just as bad as the zombies, including her because she shot the dude. and also, I bet she was kinda pissed because ben died when that dick head survived.

actual diary of the dead is not a part of night, dawn, day, land series.Romero personaly said that it wasn't in the context. it's completly Separate. it's a completly diffrent world, apart from the zombies. and if you have watched land of the dead it has an introduction in black and white. it's a news report. romero said the intro was a flash back to the 60's when the zombie crisis first started. so actualy it is in some sort of chroligical order.

Wow this is the work remake I've seen in my life. I guess since the first is so perfect, it would be impossible to make it better. I just didn't realize the remake was this bad.

it's a fantasy film, people can't come back to life. in fact their body's would lituraly fall to pieces after a week because of lack of water. just use your imagination. like when you use your imagination when you say to your girlfriend that you liked titanic. :)

She reminds me of Meryll from Metal gear Solid! Dawn of the Dead was far more scarier.. Because it contained more scenes of what human vs human especially the SWAT team vs the Apartment block inhabitants
