  • does anybody elses xlt bog down at 3/4 throttle when its warm out and warm up?

  • Mine has 2500 miles, Polaris service claims we need whole new upper end rebuild. Pistons, rings, bored, etc. I dont understand how this is possible. It ran fine, and this year will not . Starts, but dies once applying throttle . Any help in right direction would be most appreciated.

  • @jd426999 there is a microswitch on my sleds throttle that was doing the same thing probobaly just worn out

  • mins a 96 ad it runs like its bran new and its relly nice i can start it one crank and im 13

  • over 14,000 miles on my 1993 and still going strong with the original track. Make sure you check the oil injection alignment marks now and then to be sure you are getting the right oil mixture. Mine was off and not getting the oil it needed.

  • do your clutchs !!!!Bob .. polaris tech

  • I have a 93 xlt 580, what did you have to do to keep it going for 12,000 miles? mine is at 5,500 miles.

    Thanks

  • I have a 97 XLT Touring. On the groomed trails, I can cruise @ about 70, and have had it to 100 on a real cold nght. If you treat these triples right, the are very tough and reliable. Use only genuine Polaris parts, and if you ever have to split the crank, to do the bearings, save yourself the future headaches, and have the machine shop "pin" it when they put it back together. Cranks can spin, become out of balance, and shake the motor right out of the chassis.

  • i got a 93 xlt 600 bout 5500 miles on it and i got mine up to 92 on the lake hard snow

nice sled you got though too

  • what do you guys think of xlt's i might want to buy one

  • @johnathonmelby there alright the 93 xlt's were more trust worthey then the newer xlt (xlt's from 94 and up had bad cranks) i can get about 300 miles in $90 of gas

  • @wesbuell18 I wouldnt say that the 97-99 cranks were fixed with pto oil line better than 93 95 and 96 had bad cranks

  • @johnathonmelby i have a 94 and wow, lets just say it takes quite the beating lol good sled tho

  • Looks like you need a rebuilt motor soon she must be getting tired. Once you rebuild it it will go as fast as it did brand new
