I really like Yang Chae-Eun's Kitri. Her characterization is great: the head movements, the smile and that look on her face. I guess she decided to do the attitude faster and with more turns because it's easier, although her leg en derrière should've been higher. But she's very graceful and charismatic, and that's much harded to find than flawless technique.

Wonder why they keep doing it on this horrible stage. You can clearly see they have problems holding their balanace. Or is that part of the test?

@eezdva... Raked stages are common in Europe. They're one of those things dancers who tour with any regularity need to be able to perform on.

the girl who did Don Q was the best because she had more life and personality in her dancing instead of being a perfect little robot( she was still great technically) :)

Does anybody know the name of the variation danced by Nemoto RIna? She danced the same variation as Zhong Jing Fang (I'm not sure how to spell her name correctly ) :)

Her's was nice but Zhong Jing Fang had more emotion.

actually, what i meant was the third girl doing Kitri from don Quixote. Her attitude turns kinda need more height, but given the speed of this dance, and her great smile, she's still an excellent dancer.

The 4th performer has high technique and her stage presence

was so beauteiful! The best "Coppelia" was her, I think.

And very pretty costume suited her well. The performance and

the appearance look her like the Fairy in the fairy tale, too.

The third performer was the best Kitri I've seen here, she was beautiful and had such wonderful stage presence!! The only thing I thought might need work were her pique attitude turns, but that might just be me. Fantastic! I dream about dancing like that...

I agree! She was lovely but she must have been instructed to do them like that, as she obviously has the extension to complete them properly (she does a beautiful attitude at the end) ? What a shame as it was sort of detracting from the beautiful performance!

That Quixote girl is fantastic, that is the best version of this variation I´ve seen, specially the last diagonale it is absolutely beautiful, even with the attitude issue which I agree is a bit low, but she turns and make it work... she is really talented and I loved her expression.
