Draugr Deathlord Vs. Deadthrall - Master Difficulty - Skyrim Necromancer

Can Deathlords and Giants be thralled? I was gonna test it, but my game kinda bugged out and I got stuck with no fix...so I'm starting over T-T

when I got the dead Thrall spell i made a beeline for a vampire den cus i remembered what a pain in the ass high ranking vampires were to kill, the only time my vamp dies is to traps, pretty much. then last night, I finally did the Peyrite quest, and resurrected Orchendor as a second thrall (with dual souls) i barely get to fight anything myself, anymore unless they're lagging behind. :p

I believe that volkihar vampires are even more powerful. Orchendor and some other mages are also pretty strong.

@calze6 I think Volkihar Vamps are too powerful to be Thralls (Used The spell on one once,didn't work :I)

@L4DEATH360 Nope, they can be raised, you need the Necromage perk from the Restoration tree :p

@snagillim i too keep a substantial collection of dead bodies in one of my rooms to use at a later determined date, but man i hope I'll have enough money to buy and finally play Skyrim soon looks fun :/

During the quest "Battle for Solitude" you will be forced to battle with General Tullius and Legate Rikke. After killing them both i tried to raise them but only succeeded in doing so with Rikke and she is very good Thrall unfortunately The general cannot be raised.

You can only get this quest if you are on the stormcloaks side.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but the Necromage perk increases the level limit of dead thralls on vampires from 40 to 50. With this you can thrall a Volkihar Vampire (48), which is only beaten by the Master Volkihar Vampire (53). Or, if you cant find a Volkihar Vampire, you can thrall a level 42 Master Vampire which is slightly weaker.

i've found myself two master vampires and i aam quite pleased. But i stand before a difficoult choise... I've had a master necromancer earlier, which has served me well, and i find it hard to trash him. But i guess it really is better with master vampires

Currently I'm using that orc chief from the quest. He is only lvl 20, but has over 1k hp. I put all his gear to legendary, some nice enchantments and gave him a daedric sword and spellbreaker. But looking for some new thralls to test..

Ok, so I'm just about to get dead thrall. Can you put good armor on them, before or after you resurrect?

@Ezio9heAssassin they will only use the armor they died with but you can take it, enchant it, and give it back to them for uber thrall fun.

How do you keep the bodies from disappearing? Are they special NPCs that don't eventually vanish, is the house somehow special in that the interior is always preserved, or is there something special you do to prevent it?

I've tried keeping a bandit inside my house in Whiterun, but he vanished after about 3 in-game days.

@TurmoilTom Only certain bodies will stick around.. it's kinda trial and error. hopefully someone releases a mod that makes them never despawn.

@snagillim after patch 1.2...when they fixed the wedding scene, it also made so you cannot keep half as many dead bodies in your house. For that reason I removed all patches and started a new game. I loved my collection of thralls, fucking patch took them all away.

@Ryudoz26 Im only level 20ish in this video so he wasn't too high. you might be spawning master vamps over level 40.

@lifeislifesolive You mean contracting vamparism? As the stages progress you will become weaker and weaker in the presence of sunlight. But your powers will become stronger. As a level 5(Full fledged) vampire all NPC's will be hostile towards you.

@andytheshark - it's a Master level Conjuring spell, you can buy it at the Mages college once you reach a high level conjuring ability, like 90+ You will need a lot of magicka to cast it.
