Granted, it's not the same band without Blackmore, but come on, you can't say Morse didn't rock this video. I remember when Ron Evans and Nick Simper were the singer and bass player (respectively) so Gillan and Glover were not original members. That doesn't mean they weren't every bit as good or better. No it's not the same band. Do you know how many personell changes this band has been through? At least 9 that I know of!

infatti simo2805!probab. è il momento di grazia del complesso negli anni'90. guardando le immagini è chiaramente percepibile l'atmosfera di coesione fra i membri che si respirava sul palco.quanto a Gillan il tour di"battle rages on"è probabilmente il punto più basso delle sue prestazioni,assieme all'oggi!ma già negli 80's riusciva saltuariamente ad eseguire child in time con tutte e tre le variazioni.rimane cmq un mito,la gente secondo me non si rende conto che altezze e che potenza raggiungeva!

una delle migliori performance di Gillan in questo pezzo dalla reunion del 1985 ed assolutamente meglio dell'ultimo tour con Blackmore del 1993 in cui Ian aveva la voce distrutta. insomma,non al livello degli anni '70,ma una delle ultime occasioni per sentire una Child in time degna del suo nome: un insuperabile mix di dolcezza, energia e talento creativo. notare al minuto 7:50 quando riprende la melodia originale di "in rock" ed al minuto 8:45 in cui riprende l'ottava+acuta!

Anche guardando gli altri video di questo concerto, si capisce bene che in quel periodo, e in particolare in quel concerto, aveva probabilmente la voce migliore dal periodo post 1993.

Great performance, not like in the 70's, but Gillan still manage to put a lot of emotion into this performance. Band is in topform, musically healthy after the sour grape, Blackmore left.

@stevemartinovich Yes, but he was (unfortunatly) getting more and more difficult to work with. He wanted (according to Paice), the band to be more like Rainbow, with a more revolving lineup of singers, and this was after the MK.II reunion in '84. After the successful 'Perfect Strangers' album and tour, he got more unpredictable and difficult. I'm a big fan of Blackmore, but Gillan is the only one who can put emotion and power into the classics with his voice, so I stay true to the current band.
