Please help, what is the best day to go to the airshow if sitting up Beachy Head, it starts on Thursday and go's throw till sunday! but which day is the big day? Anyone know, as i'm having a picnic up there this year - being 2009. I was thinking Saturday 10am to 2pm. Anyone know, could u tell me, would be very kind. x

Pick the day with the best weather forecast, the weekend usually has the most planes performing,show usually starts around 12.30 to 17.00. Its always windy up beachy head so be prepared.

Its a great place to see the reds,also alot of planes hold over beachy head before flying down to display at Eastbourne.One word of warning its always very windy up there,which can be a problem when filming LOL.

lovely spotting place mate! at times its like ur in a plane watching them from ontop. i will be seeing the typhoon, hawk, reds and tucano next weekend :D

Yeah our Malta Airshow was ver the sea, at a bay, with land opposite! very rare! but i was at sea level. must have been very similar to where you were, for those who were on top of us.

kl i cnt go :(. I only went 2 da eastbourne airshow coz i was on holiday there. I live in Cambridgeshire so i go 2 da Duxford airshows. They've got a show next weekend at Duxford n da Vulcan is goin :)

I didn't have to go too far from my house near Shoreham to see most of these planes... some of them were based at Shoreham airport over the weekend and it was a bit like world war 2 at times with planes coming & going. Excellent video brilliantly filmed thanks for posting

I heard only 48,000 people paid 2 watch da show over da whole 4 days. Last yr 800,000 peepz went. I watched da show on da saturday n sunday on da pier. Its a gr8 view and its free :)!!!

Air show this year was crap.They charged £5 and was boring.What next year? £10 and less planes,no jets,maybe one,Typhoon and that's it.
