michio caca is cool to listen to! he only attracks younger people because where smarter then the elder people! our generation is more fascinated and more open minded about it then them!
THis story always facinated me...in jan12,1975...a mr borski was coming home from his business at about 2;30am from behind him an object with flashing lights flew over his car, and it stalled instantly...he saw a round object land right in front of him 10-occupants got out and were picking up dirt samples he said they were little gays about 4-feet....the doorman working in his building saw it also...when it took off it broke windows in the building this happened in braddock park, n.j.
nonsense. Little gays don't go around in space ships. They walk up and down the village here in NY and they're very friendly. Sometimes a little too friendly.
the most convincing evidence is our own country's "black" budget. we spend billions in reverse engineering and keeping these things quiet... if they landed at the white house we would probably shoot at them with their own weaponry
A quick glance at UFOs in ancient history, to cave drawings 40,000 years old... it's immediately obvious that this is NOT just a case of "ETs visiting planet earth".
No, "they", whoever they are, have been here since our beginning. Kaku is smart, but he's stuck in that last-century mentality where no real data had been amassed. Bluebook was a scam, their research criteria for judging a case to be "solved" was reversed to "not provably UFO".
Why the f**k do these "Intelligent Life" visit our planet? I know that the 5 dislikes are probably "Intelligent Life" themselves. If you guys are, then WTF are you doing on our planet. We Earthlings come in peace (except for Al-qaeda). Now get tha F out
The best proof for alien visitation is the fact that Homosapiens exist. We are the only species driven to explore the stars and one must wonder from where comes that desire?
Thank you Dr. Kaku for saying exactly what I wanted to say for many years. I agree with everything in this interview. Yes, a few cases are incredibly difficult to explain. Multiple witnesses, radar returns of the same object.
I am a scientist with a PhD. I once brought up the UFO topic to my colleagues. They rolled their eyes and treated me as if I am crazy. Then they asked me if I believe 9/11 was a conspiracy too. This was at MIT. I keep my mouth shut about UFOs, or else my career may suffer.
@pixelator30 In my opinion, the strongest case on record is the 1976 Tehran UFO case. I wouldn't have any idea how to explain this case without invoking ET technology and some skeptical explainations proposed, like the one by Klass in which the pilots really were observing the planet Jupiter, seem to me to be very weak. I think this one might be the real thing.
The problem is that Michio Kaku gets too much email. All public persona like himself do. He cannot follow up on every email -- if he did, he would be spending the entire day just answering emails. So don't feel offended if you didn't get a reply -- it is very common.
I don't find this too unlikely-- we're about ten years away from being able to make robots that can carry out domestic chores or drive vehicles. Who can imagine what a robot a million years in advance of that would be able to do?
You would think this guy was Isaac Newton the way people fuss all over him. I wrote him an email several years ago about some highly strange and important matters of which I told him I had much *tangible and objective* materials to give weight to my concerns. He in turn -- like all the other "experts" I tried reaching out to -- didn't bother replying back.
It's something to hear these people go on all these shows fattening their wallets but can't be bothered with little people that know things.
are the aliens going to come without a NWO??...i'm sure they'd love the prospect of settling differences in every country backwater in the world.....'yeah sorry we're leaving....papua new guinea haven't signed up'... xD
@risingsun08107 every time he speaks i listen and i read as much as possible about his point of view. hope he never becomes a PR boy for the NWO. he's a genius and i've learned so much from him. love to be in a think tank with him
@arthursmail As far as i now, to bend space to a degree that would significantly decrease the distance between two places would require huge amounts of energy and mass, like that of many massive stars, so even if they are very technologically advanced i do not see how they could do that.
actually, from what I've heard, the closer they get to the earth, the harder it becomes for them to control their crafts. That's why you see these crafts jumping around all over the place like they're out of control sometimes. Our gravity messes with their crafts. So that's why you don't really see them landing I believe.
I like the idea of traveling to planets in ships within our galaxy seems more fun and doable. He brought up a topic on a lecture on youtube about metamaterials and invisibility I wonder if these material can be used to travel through space if light can bend around this material maybe somehow the distance of space could be reduce with super conductive metamaterials?
This seems outlandish to because the earth is small and millions of self repliacted propbes would somwhow have to return the gathered data to us. But this guy knows his stuff maybe the probes would evetually colonize these moons make machines and factories and siganl data back to us. Would thes eprobes be ablt to travel vats distances would the be intellugent self diagnosting? What would stop millions of probes from not becoming confused and just shut down?
He's talking about so-called Von Neumann probes- self-replicating universal constructors. He's wrong (that is,he know A LOT more than he admits) about a few things-UFOs,at least many of them, are not ships but are likely also biological organisms(heat critters), native to our environment. And yea many debunkers ARE paid Gov't disinformants
@egyptianminor NOT 5%, it's bet. 5 and 20% of true unidentified. And for the record if you ask an airline pilot-OFF THE RECORD- they'll admit to stuff you wouldn't believe.
aliens on the moon??? idk about that.. that kinda ticked me off when he talked about that.. i want a serious awnser not an exsplantion of ufos camping on our moon.
@30secondstomarscam yeah, like he says "because moons are stable" but doesn't elaborate further. What does he mean stable? How are they more stable than planets?
@osakavoxpop It's not all the moons but our moon (with no athmosphere, erosion, quakes, volcanos.) or asteroid-like moons (orbiting mars) They are much more stable. In fact, the foot prints from astronauts could basically stay there for millions of years. Moon was bombarded by meteorites in the early stage, Now it's the Earth which suck most of them.
its not about being a sceptic or a "true" believer, its simply standing in the middle ground using logic to conclude that...YES there are controlled objects entering airspace all over the world, and not a damn thing we can do about it!
ya, i'm just marking all your little 'differentiation' posts as spam at this point, because really, that's all it is. "buy my shitty product! no really, buy it!"
my analogy was elegant and sound. you're just mad at it, because... it works to reveal how shallow and useless your 'theory' really is.
anyhow. at least i busted you lying now. that's always fun.
So I haven't got this new comments attribution set up down just yet.... haven't debated here since the format change.
Misattribution happens - especially if you're up late and can't sleep. Ever considered, insomnia as a possible counter-hypothesis to your incredibly stupid alcohol hypothesis?
Some of us are just fired and wired. I know you love your pet theories, but... they're stupid.
@StarvingForTruth They are stupid to stupid people like yourself. Its like a dog thinking he is on the same level as a human. Thats the difference between you and I.
If these aliens were truly out researching us, who says they would even find it worthwhile communicating at all? Why would they even want to land on the white house lawn? When we do research on ant colonies, do we typically make it a point to learn how they communicate; then converse with the Queen saying "hi, how you doing"? Of course not. We just do research regardless of what the ants may or may not think. I'm sure it would be a similar situation with a far advanced species studying us.
This is a phenomenal book, it is base on resource on facts, with no explanation of what UFO are, we just don`t know , but focusing on the inexplicably flying objects over Phoenix, Hudson Valley, NY, Montana, as well overseas in places such as Belgium in the 80-90`s, Portugal, Iran, Brazil, Peru, New Zealand, the UK, Mexico, etc, all well document with radar track on them, photographs, video plus 1000 of witness, IT IS UNDENIABLE UFOS or UAP are real, great job LISLIE KEAN. BRAVO!!!
@novanine9 Seems to me that is kind of a weak argument considering it is going to happen whether it's ten or fifty or a hundred years from now so you're just delaying the inevitable
@highlander2107 well yea if u want to go right into the interesting part yes, but i was talking about jumping to when Michio Kaku starts to talk. In his presentation he says stuff that might be interesting for some ppl...
the "Giggle Factor" WTF!!! I cant believe top scientist use this terminology ! just shows how immature they can be ... this is .... un-fuckin-believable
Michio Kaku is one of the very few scientist that talk any scene
giggle factor is for lamens terms. theres other reasons scientist use this term, if you are a science major or have a physics background you would understand.
@jaymcd84 If you have a science background, how come you can't spell "layman" correctly? I've been working at a university for over a decade. Although I'm not a physicist myself ( I teach cognitive psychology), I work alongside physicists every day and count a few of them as my close friends. Fortunately, none of them use the term "giggle factor". Michio can sometimes be a smug elitist bastard, even though he publishes little original research and writes pop science books for non-scientists.
@ritter89 If you are a cognitive psychologist then you would understand that spelling is a skill that people possess to varying degrees, incl gifted physicists. You would also know that even a certified genius ( as measured by the very pseudo scientists that society has deemed the current authority on the matters of intelligence ) such as myself can make many small errors during the course of the day, including rushed typos.
I trollin' of course - let's fight. What do u believe about stuff ?
@StarvingForTruth Wow. Insecure much ? Ever heard of a psychometrist ? Ever heard of the WAIS test ? Having a high IQ is no huge deal. It's just an advantage.
@trulynot I wasn't aware the WAIS folks issued certifications. Does that make you an officially registered tool, or are you still just, a tool with an inflated sense of himself?
@StarvingForTruth there's no agreed upon standard for 'genius' - no matter how much you wish you were one.
sorry! but it's true. sure, there are backslapping circles like mensa... but it's just an arbitrary decision on standard deviations from a mean. hardly worthy of the word.
and INEVITABLY, the people who self reference as 'geniuses', are just... assholes.
@StarvingForTruth There is no difference between someone factually stating their level of measured intelligence and a someone factually stating their hight or some other feature.
I am 5'10" - I could train all year and maybe do a slam dunk. A 6'5" person could never train and perform the task easily. Thats how I see it.
Get some counseling for your issues then come back and have a normal discussion. If you were more intelligent you wouldnt be so bitter and childish.
@trulynot Nifty shifting of the goal posts. I didn't say that tests can be performed to get some insight into how you'll do with certain discrete cognitive tasks. There is FAR from a consensus in the field as to the value of the test, the meaning of the word 'intelligence', and certainly, on what it is to be
a genius' - which is what you said. You didn't just, state a score, and offer a means of validation. You used the G word.
Nifty backpeddling, but your IQ can't save you from your ego.
@StarvingForTruth Nice attempt at saving face and inventing positions for someone. Read my initial post on the topic regarding qualifying the whole issue.
@StarvingForTruth It's not my responsibility that you have a meltdown at the mention of the "G-word"...lols.
There is a huge difference between having a genius at something and being an overall genius as measured by the current standards. Sure its murky but we geniuses seem to score consistently higher than the non geniuses.
Intelligence is the ability to differentiate. Its simple. A combination of accurate perception and fluid and crystalline thought processes.
@trulynot Of course my feelings about your twathood are my problem. But, a bright guy should be able to tell the difference between derision, and upset. I'm making fun of you. Which is not the same as being upset. I just think you're a jerk. You didn't bug me, and you've got nothing on me. I don't give a fuck. If you think I'm CRYING - that kind of upset - you are again, delusional.
Intelligence is the ability to differentiate, and that's all?
It's a stupid definition precisely BECAUSE it oversimplifies.
As I said - it serves a purpose for you. More than one. First, you feel smart by having this cartoonishly parsimonious definition for a vastly complex phenomenon. Feels smart to know what stuff means, right? And if you can boil it down to a single word or so - even better! How keen must you be! Neat that you know it (easy when you make shit up to suit you)!
You can make guesses at my mental state all you wish.
@StarvingForTruth Its the most workable definition. Intuitively you know this once you can drop your guard, maybe you will have an epiphany when you sober up.
@StarvingForTruth Well, I suppose you can invent an entire fantasy life for me if you must. And clearly, you MUST put other people down. Your reliance on the downward social comparison (how you entered the thread, and then how you dropped the G bomb as if to bolster your position) is like a psychic addiction. I get it. It can't be that I just think you are twerp. CERTAINLY can't be that you ARE a twerp. Couldn't POSSIBLY be that I'm stone cold sober, right?
@StarvingForTruth You see, you are the one who chimed into this thread with the patronising remark, now you have a continued meltdown when you get your drunk ass handed to you.
@trulynot Good lord. I'm stone cold sober. But, like with everything else, you have to twist the facts, distort and invent definitions, etc - all to maintain this elaborate if paper thin facade.
Sorry mate, but you're not genius. A lot closet to a fucking imbecile, frankly. You're a school shooting just waiting to happen.
Counseling? It's always the people (like you) who are the most in need, who will fail to get help. Ostensibly you function ok, but you are awash in all kind of delusions of grandeur and fuzzy thinking. Probably keep a collection of kids shoes under your bed or something.
You can't even properly 'differentiate' a meltdown from a person having fun.
@trulynot You might be grat at physics, but you make a major mistake in assuming this prowess of yours lends you any kind of insight into psychology, psychometrics, etc. It just doesn't. I'm happy for you that you have oversimplified the term 'intelligence' such that it serves the needs of your very hungry ego. But... there's not such a consensus in psychology - not by a long shot. For example, some would insist on inclusion of the creative faculties. Very different.
@trulynot So, creativity is 'channeling' - in all cases (we'll leave aside what 'channeling' here means) - as opposed to differentiation (which is only partly true - that it is in opposition).
Neat. You invent definitions and limits to them, so you can handily not have to wrestle with harder to quantify aspects of our total human abilities.
Very amateurish stuff for a smarty pants. Stick to physics. You have to be better at that than ... this.
@StarvingForTruth Channeling is like tuning a radio. Combine intent with stillness and the ideas come.
Intelligence is the ability to differentiate - to detect difference and lack of difference.. This applies to all manners of intelligence and you know this. You cant acknowledge it because YOU are the one with the EGO problem. You have the vested interest in saving face after mouthing off.
@trulynot No, I reject your definition becuase having studied the subject, you're the only one who uses it. No serious researcher in the entire field of psychology, is arrogant enough to think they even CAN reduce it to a simple LCD type function.
Just, you.
And as a person who knows a thing or two about the subject, I KNOW for a FACT you are patently FOS.
@StarvingForTruth AH! Intuitively, I'd KNOW your pet definition is the best - it's just, I'm so defensive and drunk right now, and can't see the light, that is your word!
what a fucking joke.
no wonder you troll youtube.
this is how a fo-real physicist genius spends his leisure time? I'd hide too!
lolol
There's a simple fix here, which involves you shutting the fuck up and crawling away.
hmm.. you sure are tenacious in this whole, 'let's make this about him, so I don't have to face up to my own being a total prick' - 'let's invent personal foibles to avoid discussing the ones I openly share in digital print...
You have nothing to do with the truth, peace, calm, etc. You're a condescending prick who trolls for fun, and I'm just here to give you a little taste of how fun it can really be!
@StarvingForTruth Its because of your blathering comm style and your proven perception errors. First with the "typo" remark ( now flagged as spam ) and next with the false quoting.
As perception is senior to and governs intelligence then its important to be in top form. Alcohol and other mind altering substances always cloud perception.
@trulynot what is this fucking obsession with alcohol? project much?
you said it yourself - even people with a high IQ make lots of small mistakes throughout the course of a day. typos happen too. and i get it - you were saying you didn't care about the typos when someone dogged you about one. i get it.
however, this has nothing AT ALL to do with your downward social comparisons, or your bragging of your intellect. Nothing. At. All.
@StarvingForTruth Lols. Try and keep up. If you cant keep up mentally then at least go back and check the recorded text. You tried to attack me thinking I was attacking you. I was merely acknowledging I made a typo and was correcting the word. Scroll up.
Then you miss assigned a quote from someone else to me and made it the whole basis of your attack on me.
I dont drink or take drugs.
You cant even be man enough to admit you fucked up with reading comp.
@trulynot You have said nothing I am not already aware of. What you're failing to understand, is that aaaalllll of this, is completely unrelated to the reason I chimed in in the first place. And THAT reason, was you being a condescending prick to other posters.
Misattribution of a youtube comment is hardly tantamount to impaired reading perception - an ability which I have always had in absolute abundance. It's got everything to do with being someone who moves and does things very fast.
@StarvingForTruth Lols. I am clearly arguing with a mediocre mind. What If I score higher on these tests than the people who make them ? What psychs know about the human mind and a kg of baloney is worth less than a kg of baloney.
You havnet offered any alternative to my very concise and extremely workable definition of intelligence, you just reject it wholesale, like a fundamentalist.
@trulynot "I am clearly arguing with a mediocre mind." One trick to winning an argument, is not to make the other person's point for them.
Keep piling on the superiority/grandiosity complex. It's EXACTLY what I'd expect you to do. In fact, I don't think you are physically or psychologically capable of anything else. At all.
@StarvingForTruth You just keep piling on the rhetoric without bringing anything worthwhile to the discussion. You have proved you fuck up with perception and now you just ...blather.
You cant argue my def of intelligence because it works. Intelligence is the ability to detect difference and lack of difference. Before one can do this they need to be able to differentiate accurately.
@trulynot You told me you hide your account since you like to troll people. And now, you're taking umbrage at being accused of 'talking shit'? Tough that you don't like it, but it's how it is. You're a shit talker. Big time. You love it. And generally, you consider yourself pretty good at it.
Trouble is, you're not. And I'm much, much better.
This is what guys like you do. You have this perceived sense of superiority. You also don't feel properly validated or recognized in real life, for whatever reason. Anyhow. It's just high tech bullying, really. Not sure why you think it's a fine thing, so long as your victims think and say thing you think are foolish.
Our 'debate' about intelligence isn't one. You have a pet definition that you just, like. You aren't basing this on any kind of science. Just, how you see it. And what's there for anyone to discuss at that point? Your response to creative faculties, is that, they are 'channeled'? You jump right from a poorly understood brain to invented, disembodied entities? THAT's what I'm choking on?
I think I now understand your fixation with drugs.
@StarvingForTruth Have you looked up the word differentiate ? To detect difference and lack of difference ? You cant see how this applies to any form of intelligence ? Audio, spatial, mathematics, all rote learning etc.
It's a stupid definition. It's classic reductionism. It's like saying, since all sports involve breathing, sports are basically just breathing contests.
@StarvingForTruth Its only complicated because you (and others in the field with a vested interest) insist it to be so.
You know if you are honest with yourself that you can apply this extremely workable definition to every aspect of intelligence.
1 Perception is senior to and governs intelligence ( I think you acknowledge that truth )
2 Intelligence is the ability to differentiate - to detect difference and lack of difference ( whether the person can verbalise what is going on or not ).
@trulynot You do so enjoy the sound of your own voice, dontcha? Go ahead and try to publish a paper on it. Should be a hoot. Why waste such a penetrating and powerful idea on trolling youtube?
o ya - because it's NOT a great idea, you know better, and this is the only place you can find an audience for your grandiose fantasizing.
This never was a debate. This we me laughing at you for calling yourself a 'genius' (also a logical fallacy in an argument, btw) - and you being so butt hurt,
@StarvingForTruth Grow up you sad case. You know you can apply this definition to any form of measurable intelligence - you havnt been able to argue against it.
@StarvingForTruth There you go again with your strawman. Reducing something to basic terms is not reductionism or whatever bullshit philosophic wank word you want to employ. Einstein was trying to reduce the Universe to basic terms when he "met his maker". Kaku and the gang are attempting the same things.
The more something is understood, the more simple it is to the viewer.
This is why YOUR whole world looks like a labyrinth of complexity. lols.
@trulynot Seriously man. You sound like a young college kid, trying too hard to impress his professor, with his oversimplified 'theories' of everything under the sun. It's not a difficult idea to understand. It's just, incredibly over simple. And my breathing/sports analogy, is immaculate. Only, you are not psychologically capable of admitting you are wrong.
Like a said before - you're a school shooting waiting to happen. You're full of ego and rage, you just pretend otherwise.
@StarvingForTruth Like I said, its simple to those who understand it. Like physics is easy to those who get it.
I dont think you have any formal education outside an arts degree. Lols.
Your breathing/sports analogy is wasting my time. But thats what fools do. Waste peoples time.
Breathing is essential. Its cellular. Get it ? You can control breathing as a very SIMPLE aspect of doing sport - the rest of the sport is perception and differentiation.
Right. Like differentiation. If you want to make an argument that all functions lumped into the general term 'intelligence' involve at some level the ability to differentiate, this is NOT the same as saying that therefore, differentiation IS the definition of intelligence. And to reveal how oversimplified and therefore useless this definition you invented is, I gave you the analogy of breathing. Whether it's under conscious control at a given time is moot. I mean, consider your..
@StarvingForTruth You can't even follow the STRUCTURE of an analogy, never mind understand the implications of this one in particular. You've brought shirt into it that is totally unrelated, like this baseball tangent. Real simple.
And look man. I see your other posts to other people in other videos. This is what you do. You troll. You act superior for no reason. You even rehash the same lame jokes about getting counseling (ironic for a guy with a borderline personality disorder).
@StarvingForTruth You didnt explain your analogy WELL< because you dont write WELL. I addressed you SHIT analogy regardless. What dont you understand about breathing being essential yet controlled breathing still being a very SIMPLE aspect of a sport ?
Yeah, "get some counseling". Its my fav byline. Like yours is "I am in between jobs and I really need a drink".
Holy crap dude. I explained that analogy perfectly, and my writing is fucking great. This is one skill set of which I am never in doubt and I have a track record to prove it. Dig there all you like, you'll come up empty. People have plenty to say about me, but poor communicator? Never. Quite the opposite.
This is about your willful resistance to being wrong, making it hard for you to do what should be easy. You know, like, comprehend a basic fucking analogy and how one works
@StarvingForTruth I was astounded that your analogy could be so glaringly inaccurate so I surmised you didnt present it well. You have proven yourself to consistently perceive things inaccurately in this exchange and you accuse me of being wrong ?
This is why your life is fuck up ( you admitted you are bitter ) because you are not honest with yourself.
Nope. Again, my analogy was tight. And I'll use the more recent: movement is to athletics, what differentiation is to intelligence. Certainly a factor at many levels (you'll claim all, but it's just a claim), but not the thing itself.
@trulynot No. That's your definition. Certainly not a good one.
The ability to differentiate is one skill that people who research intelligence or work in the cognitive sciences, make reference to. By by no means is it used as an actual definition for intelligence, or understood as anything more than what it is - a single function of the brain.
@StarvingForTruth Oh ? You making concessions now ? I couldnt give a fuck about the people who work in the field of cognitive sciences. They dont know shit and they admit as much - except when funding is being handed out, then they assert they are just on the verge of breakthrough...always on the verge. lols
@trulynot o, so now you're more in the know that anyone who studies the cognitive sciences.
like i said before, you're saddled with grandiosity and a heap of pent up aggression. i truly believe you have a borderline personality disorder, perhaps featuring narcissism.
now, you finally foist yourself on your own petard.
fucking awesome.
i knew you would eventually. it's what guys like you do.
@StarvingForTruth Here you go again inventing positions for people. I hardly claim to know more than anyone regarding all that can be known on this planet.
I do claim to know what is worthwhile. I have wisdom or if you like knowledge worth knowing.
Where is it written I have to be modest ? The handbook of life ? Would that be the same handbook you get all your friend winning platitudes from ?
You're a lousy spin doctor, and bad at your own game. Differentiate, son: Nobody said you have to be modest. But being proud of your abilities is DIFFERENT than trolling people and hurling insults at people for enjoyment. Being proud and being boastful, are different. And both of THOSE two things, are different than being (mildly) sadistic.
@trulynot "I hardly claim to know more than anyone regarding all that can be known on this planet."
MORE dishonesty. Maybe better described as disingenuous, but no, i really think also, disonest.
You damn well know you think you know better than other people what's up with what. You certainly think you are superior to anyone in the cognitive sciences - for no discernible reason whatsoever other than that you feel such - hard not to having such 'wisdom' on board, right? (snicker)
@trulynot If you can't understand the breathing analogy, here's an even simpler one. Let's define exercise as, moving. Whatever it is, athletics require and include, movement. Hard to get around that fact, right? To use you kind of thinking, we can therefore define sports AS movement, since it's a part of them all.
This isn't hard to understand. Just hard for you to accept. Well, the hard part for you is accepting you laid an egg of an idea.
@StarvingForTruth No. That's YOUR oversimplification of a process that involves more faculties. I addressed the processes involved in intelligence. I didnt leave anything out like you have with your shit/stupid/dishonest "analogy"
I actually already addressed this. Sigh Not drunk again ? Over tired again ? Lols.
@trulynot ..own previous example of a guy hitting a baseball. You said that much of what goes into that ability involves unconscious acts of differentiation. Who cares if it's consciously done or not? The salient point here, is that all you have done is identify a lowest common denominator of sorts.
HEY BINGO ! We have a winner ! I have reduced intelligence to a basic and workable definition. Where did I claim otherwise ? I mean, its what I have been stating all fucking day ...lols
You are not very quick on the uptake Mr Super Fast Reading Comp dude.
@trulynot No. You reduced intelligence to a skill you believe comes before all others in the big basket of abilities labeled 'intelligence'. In a classic act of mistaken reductionism, you then stated that this one little function, IS intelligence. And through a simple analogy you managed to misunderstand and mangle, you got it all confused. So I gave you an even easier analogy.
I never didn't understand what you are saying. I'm just saying it plainly to you now to make that clear,
During the Vietnam War, Kaku completed his U.S. Army basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and his advanced individual training at Fort Lewis, Washington.[3] However, the Vietnam War ended before he was deployed as an infantryman.

I keep my mouth shut about UFOs, or else my career may suffer.
pixelator30 5 months ago 2

You would think this guy was Isaac Newton the way people fuss all over him. I wrote him an email several years ago about some highly strange and important matters of which I told him I had much *tangible and objective* materials to give weight to my concerns. He in turn -- like all the other "experts" I tried reaching out to -- didn't bother replying back.

you can bend space, math has proven this-- and they wont just land because we shoot at them
arthursmail 11 months ago 16
@arthursmail As far as i now, to bend space to a degree that would significantly decrease the distance between two places would require huge amounts of energy and mass, like that of many massive stars, so even if they are very technologically advanced i do not see how they could do that.
gvg444 7 months ago
@arthursmail
actually, from what I've heard, the closer they get to the earth, the harder it becomes for them to control their crafts. That's why you see these crafts jumping around all over the place like they're out of control sometimes. Our gravity messes with their crafts. So that's why you don't really see them landing I believe.
NoamTube 4 months ago
I like the idea of traveling to planets in ships within our galaxy seems more fun and doable. He brought up a topic on a lecture on youtube about metamaterials and invisibility I wonder if these material can be used to travel through space if light can bend around this material maybe somehow the distance of space could be reduce with super conductive metamaterials?

This seems outlandish to because the earth is small and millions of self repliacted propbes would somwhow have to return the gathered data to us.

Have a boo hoo why dont you.

StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Lol at your unfounded assertions, you are really cut up over this arent you.
I would argue that being creative is more channeling than differentiating.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot So, creativity is 'channeling' - in all cases (we'll leave aside what 'channeling' here means) - as opposed to differentiation (which is only partly true - that it is in opposition).
Neat. You invent definitions and limits to them, so you can handily not have to wrestle with harder to quantify aspects of our total human abilities.
Very amateurish stuff for a smarty pants. Stick to physics. You have to be better at that than ... this.

2 Intelligence is the ability to differentiate - to detect difference and lack of difference ( whether the person can verbalise what is going on or not ).
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot You do so enjoy the sound of your own voice, dontcha? Go ahead and try to publish a paper on it. Should be a hoot. Why waste such a penetrating and powerful idea on trolling youtube?
o ya - because it's NOT a great idea, you know better, and this is the only place you can find an audience for your grandiose fantasizing.
This never was a debate. This we me laughing at you for calling yourself a 'genius' (also a logical fallacy in an argument, btw) - and you being so butt hurt,
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Grow up you sad case. You know you can apply this definition to any form of measurable intelligence - you havnt been able to argue against it.
You just pile on the attempted insult. Lols.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
Tup. Just like exercising requires breathing.
Try again, dumb ass.
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth There you go again with your strawman. Reducing something to basic terms is not reductionism or whatever bullshit philosophic wank word you want to employ. Einstein was trying to reduce the Universe to basic terms when he "met his maker". Kaku and the gang are attempting the same things.
The more something is understood, the more simple it is to the viewer.
This is why YOUR whole world looks like a labyrinth of complexity. lols.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot Seriously man. You sound like a young college kid, trying too hard to impress his professor, with his oversimplified 'theories' of everything under the sun. It's not a difficult idea to understand. It's just, incredibly over simple. And my breathing/sports analogy, is immaculate. Only, you are not psychologically capable of admitting you are wrong.
Like a said before - you're a school shooting waiting to happen. You're full of ego and rage, you just pretend otherwise.
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Like I said, its simple to those who understand it. Like physics is easy to those who get it.
I dont think you have any formal education outside an arts degree. Lols.
Your breathing/sports analogy is wasting my time. But thats what fools do. Waste peoples time.
Breathing is essential. Its cellular. Get it ? You can control breathing as a very SIMPLE aspect of doing sport - the rest of the sport is perception and differentiation.
Grow up u sad bitter failed thinker.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth You can't even follow the STRUCTURE of an analogy, never mind understand the implications of this one in particular. You've brought shirt into it that is totally unrelated, like this baseball tangent. Real simple.
And look man. I see your other posts to other people in other videos. This is what you do. You troll. You act superior for no reason. You even rehash the same lame jokes about getting counseling (ironic for a guy with a borderline personality disorder).
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth You didnt explain your analogy WELL< because you dont write WELL. I addressed you SHIT analogy regardless. What dont you understand about breathing being essential yet controlled breathing still being a very SIMPLE aspect of a sport ?
Yeah, "get some counseling". Its my fav byline. Like yours is "I am in between jobs and I really need a drink".
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth I was astounded that your analogy could be so glaringly inaccurate so I surmised you didnt present it well. You have proven yourself to consistently perceive things inaccurately in this exchange and you accuse me of being wrong ?
This is why your life is fuck up ( you admitted you are bitter ) because you are not honest with yourself.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
Nope. Again, my analogy was tight. And I'll use the more recent: movement is to athletics, what differentiation is to intelligence. Certainly a factor at many levels (you'll claim all, but it's just a claim), but not the thing itself.
Hence, reductionism.
College kids get this. Why can't you?

"This is why your life is fuck up ( you admitted you are bitter ) because you are not honest with yourself."
So, if I accuse you of a thing, you just, try to accuse me of it.
Lame.
"I know you are, but what am I"
see? 5 year olds can play that game. are you 5?
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Hey you - Welcome back. Still blathering about breathing ?
The most workable, concise definition of intelligence is:
The ability to differentiate ( to detect difference or lack of difference ).
Your body knows when its time to breathe, the cellls carry a native "intelligence"
Gee, wow, the defintion applies to that too. Who woulda thunk it ?
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot No. That's your definition. Certainly not a good one.
The ability to differentiate is one skill that people who research intelligence or work in the cognitive sciences, make reference to. By by no means is it used as an actual definition for intelligence, or understood as anything more than what it is - a single function of the brain.
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Oh ? You making concessions now ? I couldnt give a fuck about the people who work in the field of cognitive sciences. They dont know shit and they admit as much - except when funding is being handed out, then they assert they are just on the verge of breakthrough...always on the verge. lols
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot o, so now you're more in the know that anyone who studies the cognitive sciences.
like i said before, you're saddled with grandiosity and a heap of pent up aggression. i truly believe you have a borderline personality disorder, perhaps featuring narcissism.
now, you finally foist yourself on your own petard.
fucking awesome.
i knew you would eventually. it's what guys like you do.
good for you you know more than...everyone, huh?
is this where you publish?
LOLOL
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Here you go again inventing positions for people. I hardly claim to know more than anyone regarding all that can be known on this planet.
I do claim to know what is worthwhile. I have wisdom or if you like knowledge worth knowing.
Where is it written I have to be modest ? The handbook of life ? Would that be the same handbook you get all your friend winning platitudes from ?
I need to catalogue your emotional outbursts.
Sad funny :o(
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
Nice try at conflating shit, but no.
Again with the dishonesty......
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Geez you take a long to talk shit. Go read my initial post. I sign off with
"I trollin of course. Lets fight. What do you believe about stuff ?"
Yeah, that sure looks like the work of a sadist to me.
Fuck you are dumb. You picked on the wrong "troll" and now you are getting schooled.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot "I hardly claim to know more than anyone regarding all that can be known on this planet."
MORE dishonesty. Maybe better described as disingenuous, but no, i really think also, disonest.
You damn well know you think you know better than other people what's up with what. You certainly think you are superior to anyone in the cognitive sciences - for no discernible reason whatsoever other than that you feel such - hard not to having such 'wisdom' on board, right? (snicker)
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Lol @ snicker - would not have picked up the sarcasm otherwise.
I dont know much about English Lit or French poetry, or Byzantine politics etc etc.. So how am I the liar ?
Caught you out yet again. Your tragic attempts at inventing positions for me are almost becoming painful to watch....almost....
:o)
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot If you can't understand the breathing analogy, here's an even simpler one. Let's define exercise as, moving. Whatever it is, athletics require and include, movement. Hard to get around that fact, right? To use you kind of thinking, we can therefore define sports AS movement, since it's a part of them all.
This isn't hard to understand. Just hard for you to accept. Well, the hard part for you is accepting you laid an egg of an idea.
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth No. That's YOUR oversimplification of a process that involves more faculties. I addressed the processes involved in intelligence. I didnt leave anything out like you have with your shit/stupid/dishonest "analogy"
I actually already addressed this. Sigh Not drunk again ? Over tired again ? Lols.
1 Perception
2 Differentiation.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot ..own previous example of a guy hitting a baseball. You said that much of what goes into that ability involves unconscious acts of differentiation. Who cares if it's consciously done or not? The salient point here, is that all you have done is identify a lowest common denominator of sorts.
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth Lol @ salient.
HEY BINGO ! We have a winner ! I have reduced intelligence to a basic and workable definition. Where did I claim otherwise ? I mean, its what I have been stating all fucking day ...lols
You are not very quick on the uptake Mr Super Fast Reading Comp dude.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot No.
I'm just saying it plainly to you now to make that clear,
StarvingForTruth 1 year ago
@StarvingForTruth No. You missed it AGAIN.
Perception involves the sense. This is data INPUT
Differentiation involves detecting difference and lack of difference in this data.
trulynot 1 year ago
@trulynot
ugh. i'[m not parsing out your stupid theory any more.
