Back then it sounded much more innocent, as if he were singing to the love of his life, and was scared out of his mind. He sounded very vulnerable. Now he sounds like he rules the world and he knows it. His voice is filled with confidence and he changes up the lyrics a lot. I'm not necessarily saying that I prefer how he used to sound, but I sure do enjoy it.

i completely agree..  i am a fan of both bands, but radiohead strikes me as more authentic for some reason. coldplay is sort of like a bubblegum version of them.. but still really good. this particular song actually sounds a lot like the stuff on pablo honey and the bends. let down is a great track.. especially the third verse.
